Tip for the Robalo skipper - when picking up something in the water, be it a bag of rubbish or a water skier - always turn in, and approach, on the helm side, so you can see the item in the water and get your crew to pick up behind you - from the stern where the gunwales are lower.

I am 72 years old. Back when I was 10, I had a 12' Boston whaler with a 35 hp. My first day out with a cpla friends, I saw what riding in the bow did to people on the most gentle wave hops. I am from Sarasota, and we skied (kids at 10-16 are small, light, easy to pull with 35 hp), someyimes when we jumped the wake on slalom, we would be in 1 foot of water over an oyster bed! Ah yes to be young and stupid. But we, w as a group, NEVER rode in the bow area when there were even small waves. Sarasota was a GREAT place to grow up in back in 1960-1969. It is soooooo different now, wow.

Props to the Ronaldo crew for grabbing their trash! Wish we saw more responsible boaters…seems 50/50 if they care or just willingly toss cups etc into the ocean.

I grew up going through Haulover Baker's cut in the '60s-'80s...when the fishing pier still existed. I now go through Sebastian Inlet. Let's talk "Monster Hole".

The SAY 42 straight line bow is remembrance of the titanic designs bow., straight line. The rule of thought then was speed, but under heavy seas engineers quickly realized a straight line hull actually cause the boat to pull down into the waves instead of riding up..note how she rocks side to side when underway.....really outriggers in the stern if that's what you want to call them....yap a heavy wave will tear them off and rear facing seats are never a good idea....opps where did my crew go, just like the Regal lost it float ontop and the captain had no idea.

That Jaguar is the brand new 37 Wildcat. They now have two ranges of boats : the Wildcat in 37 and 48 ft variants and the Offshore Series in 31,34 and 37 ft variants. All are full Epoxy infused, quadrex glass and Corecell structural core. Super strong, light and agile.

Have we come to a point where a single outboard vessel needs to have a bow thruster? @ 1:40 I am flabbergasted that someone thinks they need that on such a small boat.
