A girl from the crowd called KC who held up a sign saying "I can play the drums" selected by Brandon Flowers to come onto the stage and show the audience what she can do at The Killers concert tonight - she did great 👍 🤗
killers songs aren't that hard. and she's most likely used to crowds by the look of it. but the real plus being that even someone who could be a beginner in drumming can play many killers songs with ease. now had it been something more technical. then anyone would be extremely terrified to even mess up a bit because of how difficult a song can be. especially if a drum kit is monstrous like mike manginis of dream theaterr
The sound on stage is so much different than most imagine. You have to keep perfect time and listen to the drummer. I liked a hi hat and snare in my monitor. As long as I can hear the 2 and the 4. Also stayed in tune.
Wow, I have seen a lot of these fan plucked from the audience type videos but this one was seriously impressive. She looked like she was enjoying it so much and she never missed a beat. Flawless performance. Gold star!
@@daz1676 You're 100% wrong about that. I personally know several people who held up similar signs at shows and were pulled up onstage to play without ever rehearsing or having anything pre-arranged with the band. In most of those cases the singer asked them what they wanted to play and handed them a guitar or drum sticks, etc... They would start playing and you could hear the band trying to remember what the notes and lyrics were and struggle to keep up. Usually it was because my friends had chosen to play songs that the bands hadn't played in 10 - 30 years. The bands were, however, very good sports about it.
@@jplovesthequads well I’m a drummer and I didn’t notice. But at the same time, I don’t know the song, I was merely observing that she didn’t falter and play something someone would go “oh they lost the plot to” . But we agree it’s impressive either way :))
you can always tell how good the drummer is by watching Ronnie (the band's actual drummer) (spoiler: she's amazing and easily one of the three best - the ordering of her, Tony, and Jose Luis is subjective IMO) he ALWAYS starts the bit hovering nearby in case they're...not good. when they're good, he picks up the guitar. (if they're just competent he'll usually just coach) when they're excellent, he moves away and focuses on the guitar in one case (Tony's stint in Scotland), he even started doing backing vocals. In a couple of others cases (incl. here) where the drummer is a bit more aggressive (her, Jose Luis) he flat out jams with the person drumming while he and Ted (lead when Dave isn't there) clearly invert who is doing lead and who is doing rhythm. even watching the video *on mute* you can tell this is one of the best fan drums that the band has had - just by watching Ronnie.
I was there it was amazing, she played the shit out of those drums, How’s Billy ( if you know you know) crowd surfing at nearly 70 yrs old, what a legend 🤩
@@anotherland2462 Because even if that was planed she would still fucked up?! And it's nothing special with saying ''well done'' even if it's planned or not, he would be just nice in front of crowd xD Boring are people like you who just eat up every shit media shows u and thx to people like you, they sell almost everything becasue plebs expectations are so low they don't even bother anymore, just a couple fake/staged situations for hype and there you go - free money
She was awesome. One of the best nights of her life - beaming to be playing with the Killers while knowing she had a job to do. Hope she goes far in the music world!
She looks so chilled out, like she is just playing by herself, not in front of 1000’s of people. WELL DONE, you smashed it! Why is it always this song they allow a guest drummer to play?
Wow. She could slot right in there. Even the "improv" (Sorry I don't know the technical word) stuff was spot on. Hope their drummer never gets sick lol
@@scuffedclips1 Are you THAT miserable you just wandering around the internet pissing in everyone's cereal? Ultimately, who gives a fuck. She was good.
Phenomenal job by "Kacey" who played like she just does this in front of tens of thousands of fans all the time. Also really cool of Brandon and The Killers. Such a great band with so many iconic songs.
@@shredder9536 it’s common that they ask an audience member up to play. She watched previous live shows to learn the song. Then held up a sign asking to play. She had an advantage as she had met the band earlier in the day for a charity meet & greet thing.
