That guy is an absolute saint. I started tearing up at 6:23. I wish I heard that as a kid. I wasn't horrifically abused, but regardless of the severity of what happened to me I was still traumatised by it and still carry a small bit of it iver ten years later, though I'm working through it. I only told my parents about what happened to me as a 7 yr old when I was about 14 because what was happening was happening on school grounds and the school found out about it; promptly telling me what was happening was wrong and I shouldn't do it and saying I should just stay away from the guy. Like it was *my* fault for being manipulated. Sure, the situation was complicated because the guy was also a minor but he displayed textbook manipulative tactics and abusive methods to get me to have oral sex with him, not to mention he was taking advantage of the fact I was much less mature even for a 7 yr old and it's very likely I'm on the autism spectrum so he took advantage of my vulnerabilities, so regardless of age the base principles were the same and I shouldn't have been made to believe I was wrong. I was the victim and it was abusive. Though, I'd like to raise awareness for child on child abuse. I know far too many people who have suffered this kind of abuse, and while I dealt with it well for the most part, my friends and other people who have shared their experience with me had suffered so much before finally starting to heal. If you've been abused by another child *you* *are* *valid* and you don't have to convince yourself its "not that bad" or that "it doesn't matter if we were both children". It's still traumatic and can hurt you so much if you don't seek help. Trust me, I have seen my friends lives ruined by this kind of abuse and it damn near turned me into a manipulative piece of shit myself. What happened to me made me seek out more toxic relationships, made me submissive and fearful of abandonment, and I adopted his manipulative behaviours and emotionally abuse my sister ( I no longer do that since I started working on my trauma. I was a child but thats not an excuse for my behaviour since I hurt my sister deeply, but now I no longer do such things and we are like best friends), I suffered from depression for a while before and after telling people, not to mention the trust issues, need for control and social anxiety I maintain to this day. It messed me up, but I'm getting better now I've recognised it was abuse, and worked on my trauma, feelings and behaviours based on that. Sending love towards everyone in this video ❤❤

I cried... When I was a seven year old my father had to work in other city and at some point he took us with him but we shared an apartment with another family, that family had three kids, the older one who was thirteen used to bully me and make me feel very uncomfortable whenever I left the room I slept in, I couldn't do anything without him being a dick to me but when nobody was around he acted "friendly" and idk... I guess I sorta wanted his approval so I could stop being scared of playing around... Things escalated on him asking me to play videogames whenever our parents weren't there and he also hid some of my toys or his sister toys and that's when he would tell me that if I hugged him and stayed with him in his room he would give my toys and his sister's toys back to me so I could play... Sometimes he would just hug me under his sheets but some other times he humped against me ... I felt nothing because I was too young to have a proper reaction to that and I never told my parents cause I didn't wanted them to get mad and fight with the other family who would probably get us kicked out from the apartment... I sorta blocked that it happened, I felt like it was nothing at the end of the day... But later this damaged the way I perceive physical contact to the point where I crave it from my loved ones but I feel very uncomfortable when I actually get it

I've been in a similar situation as her, but stuff actually happened and I, who was very in need of attention and positive reassurance since my family was abusing me at the time, was generally ok with it happening to me. He was like 45? And I was 14. And it happened a second time with another guy, he was 24 or something. I regret letting it happen both times, because now I have an extremely messed up view on my body and it's worth. So if anyone's reading this, don't give your body to just anyone! Your body is precious and you deserve to have the chance to choose who you'll accept in your bubble or not! I still have issues with accepting my body and accepting what's happened to me, but I have a lovely boyfriend who treats me the best I've ever been treated and I understand how much worth I have in his eyes. Which really helps boost me up. It's just a matter of trying to keep going in life because while there might be bad times, there a good times that are completely worth the pain. I love you guys 💖

Can we just talk about how absurd this situation is? It's a bunch of strangers dressed up as anime girls and a mustached Mario talking about serious issues and coaching each other through their own screwed up pasts despite probably being thousands of miles away from each other. They're practically completely dissociated from their real-world personalities, and can therefore confide in whoever they want. No judgment, no nothing. There's something beautiful about that.

If you have sex with someone who cannot consent to sex (whether it be a child, someone who is drunk or under the influence, or someone with a disability), you are a rapist and therefore you are responsible for any trauma the victim may experience. Someone who is groomed, or taken advantage of, is not at fault or in anyway culpable of something someone else does to them. Furthermore, victim blaming never adds anything to the conversation of how to help survivors heal. I understand some of you aren’t adults yet and can’t yet process that you are not as capable, intelligent and organized yet. I’m not saying you aren’t entitled to an opinion, but what I am saying is when an adult is in a situation where they are responsible for someone else, they’re able to take advantage of it, especially if they are a predator. It’s super easy to think you can’t be victimized when you’re young because whether teenagers want to admit it or not for the most part they believe they are indestructible or can do anything. It’s easy to act holier-than-thou and say what you would have done in that situation, but comparing yourself to a victim to demean them as I’ve seen lots of people do is never okay and never adds anything to the conversation.

I recognise that pause after "he tried... " For anyone who doesn't understand it, it's kind of like the non-newtonian fluid of anxieties. The closer you get to talking about the thing, the harder it gets to talk about. She was already incredibly strong to talk about this, I hope she is able to get the help she needs. Edit (7 months later): This is still getting responses so I just wanted to add that someone experiencing this usually really does _want_ to say whatever it is that's causing the anxiety, it can just feel like an insurmountable obstacle to get it out of their throat.

As someone who literally told my parents about being sexually assaulted, hearing these people’s stories is super inspiring. I really hope Emma ends up finding a professional to talk to. Sexual trauma is a lot to deal with, nobody should have to carry the burden of those memories on their own.

watching this broke my heart. i’m also a victim of sexual assault. i was about 5 or 6 and he was 17. i never told my mom until last year. as i was and still am growing, i learned about abuse and assault. each time i read about sexual assault or abuse, i just couldn’t help think that i might be a victim. i hated the thought of it but i grew to accept it and it haunted me for 9 years. 9 years of breakdowns, 9 years of terrible anxiety.. 9 years of hell. i peaked last year when my anxiety got so bad that i found myself going to the bathroom to cry before my classes started. when i finally told my mom, that heavy burden was lifted off of my shoulders and i can gladly say i’m doing much better. i’m 15 now and my confidence, happiness and overall well-being has increased significantly. please, if you are a victim of sexual assault or abuse, tell someone. it doesn’t matter how old you are or what gender you are, you are valid and need to be heard. it’s never too late. i’m rooting for you! ❤️
