I met my birth father when I was 35 and it was the best 6 months of my entire life. Before he died I got to know what a father is and my kids got to know what a grandfather who loved them was like. It was amazing. Sadly he died of complications from our genetic cancer after six months but our memories will last a lifetime. So happy for you guys.

This brought tears to my eyes. I split up with my girlfriend 30 plus years ago. We had a daughter, Danielle, whom I worshipped and adored, I had her every Saturday then I made a huge mistake, I showed her mother a bunch of photo's we had taken together, the look of anger on the mothers face when she saw how close we were and how much we loved each other. From that day on she made it extremely difficult for me to see my daughter. I have not seen my Danielle for nearly 35 yrs and the pain is as great today as it was back then. All I have now is a photo of my little girl that is at the side of my bed. As my daughter grew, her mind was poisoned against me to portray me as a bad person, I wasn't perfect, but no one could ever accuse me of being a bad dad. My daughter was my Achilles heel, and her mother used it against me. " Time is a great healer" not for me, it isn't. I would give anything, and everything just to see her again, and hug her, and tell her how much I love her, and how I have missed her every single day.

I have a daughter 33 and son 36 from my first marriage and a son 15 from my second marriage. In each divorce I got full custody of my kids. My kids mean everything to me. I couldn't imagine my life with out my kids in it. So glad this father and daughter was reunited and to see how much love they have for each other.

Met my daughter after 25 years , all my fault. It's been a couple of years now and she's beautiful and I regret every day the decision I made when I was a lot younger. I have 2 boys and I love her as much as I do them. She's very cool, talented and just a wonderful person. I am blessed

I just learned after 20 years of not seeing him past the age of 3, who I was told was a close family friend is actually my dad. We're talking and it's pretty seamless..... It's like looking in the mirror and seeing myself, but older and male. We think, act, and look so much alike. We haven't met in person yet and he's only a few hours away. I already love him so much and he doesn't even know. I still love and see the man who raised me as my Daddy; he is my dad no matter what. I met my dad last year I’m 13 now and my mom told me she left him but i never believed her. I never show it but I am so happy I have him also I cry a lot bc of it. I’m so happy for her hopefully everyone like these things can find theirs too❤️😭

bless you so happy for you both. my dad had left when i was 3 years old and im now 21 with a 4 year old son and i love my boy so much. my mum just dropped off a photo album she found in my nans house of them when they got married. it was buried for 20 years in my nans attick so when i got those pictures i have found my closure that i needed i attempted to meet my farther but he didnt want nothing to do with me when i found him at 19. my mum didnt want me two know where he lived all them years because she didnt want me hurting. she was right but i wish i had what you both have. treasure it :) x
