I am 34. Will be 35 this year. I was a people pleaser. I just wanted to be good and nice to everyone not out of low self esteem but because I was raised to be kind. I didn’t know that people will wanna take advantage of me. I always thought people couldn’t harm me except I did them dirty but now I know better. Some people are just damn Nasty. I was use to Putting others first before myself, having no or poor boundaries. I learnt late and the hard way but I trust that that’s how God wanted it to be. I find you very relatable . I've always been the one who was overly giving and nice to the point I became a people pleaser while they in return showed me nothing in return & I would always cry about it wondering why I wasn't good enough but truth be told it was my fault for constantly putting more of myself into those people that didn't deserve it when I could of just put that love and energy into myself and wait to see the right ones come along that actually deserve to be in my life. You made me realize how much I still need to let go. I still give too much of myself to others. For peoples birthdays, I bake for them and take them out to eat I make sure it’s all about them. For my birthday my family did anything but that. Made me cry and feel like shit and turned it on me. I realized then I’d rather celebrate alone than be in their company.

The gift giving is really good, I did this for my birthday a few weeks back. I always use to put aside $20 a month (jan-dec) So I at least had $240 before Christmas for my girl's gift. Then if I had extra money , I would add to it. Valentines day is the usual trip to Miami or New York . (Southwest $180x2)I feel like its an equal balance of price and level of thought of the gift.❤🔥

So this video really resonated with me, and I really took into consideration point number one- “gifting myself” I couldn’t think of anything that I really wanted but started scrolling on TikTok and came across affordable luxury content & Bella Gang! I love that! "It's better to lose people than to lose yourself". In the past, I remember having some friends around who wanted me to change like wanted me to stay out late at karaoke nights and when I refused to stay up until 2am and now I always like to be back home by midnight, some friends fell away like it was a problem for them, that I refused to be a night owl like them. I notice that with a lot of people, both family and friends. It's like it's okay to be who you are as long as the friends and family wanted me to be that way.
