They really ruined her life by forcibly marrying her off like that. The hypocrisy of the brother to have a girlfriend and then judge his own sister. His own gf was dishonoring her family if he actually believed what he preached. That's more of a cultural issue than a religious one (the way this movie tried to portray it to be). Both bride and groom need to have full consent to get married. People always twist religious words for their own gains and believes.

Horrible what happened to her, I'm beyond grateful her family didn't get custody of her innocent child in the end. People have tried to use religion for all sorts of ugly things since the beginning of time... Sick

Some of these young women are not even over the age of 13 being forced to marry grown man and violated. When you marry somebody it should be your choice. It's extremely sad and carrys horrific consequences for these girls .I hope before I die and leave this world I see this practice stop. Ive watch many documentaries on this very subject. This made me cry. She should have left her family behind. She was in Germany, she had all the support to raise her kid by herself. The fact that she was sent to marry at 16 years old is concerning. To make matters worse, she was married off to a stranger in another country, and her mother is turning a blind eye to this, which brings disgrace to the family. Just because they left their home country for Europe doesn't mean they should abandon their cultural and religious values. Dressing like a European doesn't erase your culture or religion. I believe that clothing should not dictate how you are treated. I respect all religions, but forcing someone to do something against their will is wrong. Everyone has fundamental human rights that should be respected. It's disturbing that the brother had to kill his own sister while his girlfriend, who was behaving like a sister, is left unharmed. The brother believed his sister had disgraced the Muslim religion, but his girlfriend, who also behaved like a sister, did not face any consequences. The only thing the sister did wrong was smoking, but that doesn't justify killing her. The boyfriend's actions show he has no regard for honor or respect; he is simply evil. Killing your sister is a sin, a crime, and a cruel act. I blame the mother for not intervening when her daughter complained about her marriage. Instead, she kept her trapped and made her feel worthless. This family's actions have tarnished the reputation of their religion. It's appalling that they celebrated the sister's death. He even asked if she was remorseful. How could you even think of killing your sister? Are you even remorseful for what you've done?

I love my religion and this is not what Islam teaches. I’m proud Muslim woman in south EA. Do not read online about Islam, go to a mosque or Islamic centre ask everything there and you will have your answer about Islam. Wearing HIJAB and modest clothing are the best way for Muslim women to protect her honour.
