Man they are blazing! My PR is 23.34 so far this year. These lil girls just motivated me! No where close to being as strong as me but run times faster than me and close to me is so crazy!
This isn't a national Jr record. Sha'Carri ran 22.08 as a Jr in her freshman year at LSU. And I'm sure Allyson Felix went faster than this as well.. Perhaps he meant national Youth?
@@JakeRichardsong - Are you new here!? 😂 Richardson still holds both records for highschool jr. 100m: 10.75 & 200m 22.17 👌🏼 Not to mention Sha’Carri is 5’1 & Mia is 5’10 - meaning Shacarri has wayy faster leg turnover!
@@trackflo5085She’carri was not a junior in high school when she ran those times. She was a 19 year old freshman at LSU. When she was a junior in high school her pbs were 11.28 with a max wind and 23.36. Pedersen is at 11.00 and 22.43 at the same age.
Well, this is a more consistent time with her flat 11.00 on 100 mètres..till this vidéo, all i saw was 23.01. I was thinking she would never be a great 200 runner.
@@TheAirynDolce I gotta admit that's the reason why I made the comparison. LOL! It's great to see more white girls breeding themselves into the sport and finding success, we need more diversity in the sport. The other reason why it's fair to make this comparison outside of race purposes is because she's a 200m specialist like Abby who is tracking to have success like Abby in college if she goes to college after next season. Running styles are definitely different, but I think a comparison is very much fair here.
@@TrackandAceWe need more diversity? Who is "we"? White people? The sport is extremely diverse. There's numerous top runners from all around the world that compete in the pro and collegiate level. There just not white enough for you. Learn what diversity is.
@@TrackandAce I hear you, but as far as demographics - the sport of track and field is still predominantly WHITE (check the statistics). Black and brown people only dominate the SPRINTS but trust me, in the rest of the racing and field events - we’re still outnumbered. Not trying to make this political, but to say there needs to be “more diversity.” You’re absolutely correct - more people of different races and ethnicities other than the already dominant one. No one watches golf, or tennis, or swimming, etc. and says, “we need more diversity.”🤣 let us have SOMETHING!!🤷🏾♂️
@@TrackandAce also: after checking out your content and seeing that it’s highly saturated with Abby Steiner and Jenna Prandini… I understand exactly the angle you’re coming from. 🙃
No, she wasn't pointing to the color of her skin. She was pointing to her ring finger. That's a celebration popularized by Angel Reese of LSU... basically saying: "Put a [championship] ring on this finger". It's weird how some of y'all will immediately make stuff racial when race has nothing to do with it.🤔 smh
she was not referring to her skin colour lol that is a sign that has been used for decades in all sports saying "here's where you can put the Championship ring!" Although she was bold in doing so she got thumped...
