My favorite basketball players whether it's nba players, high school girl basketball players or even those I personally know are based off how spectacular they play basketball, not so much if they're the best player on the court.
What an ignorant statement! To each his own, but the WNBA is not being marketed as well as it should. Hs ball is great, but there's far more talent in college, to say nothing of the WNBA/ International ball. How dare you!
The Wnba was banging when it first started. Somebody hated and they stopped showing games on tv like that. Get the best 12 hs girls and the 12 worst Wnba women and the wnba will blow em out by 100.
My initial stance has not changed. I love all women's basketball, from little league up to the wnba. I took issue with you saying that high school players have more skill amd swag than wnba players. Again, that is very ill informed. I have no problem with you preferring hs ball to wnba. But there have been only a handful of girls who could have skipped college and went straight to the wnba: players like Breanna Stewart, Maya Moore, Griner. Candace Parker and a couple others come to mind. Talented hs players are playing against inferior competition and they don't get challenged until they play in national tournaments, camps, and/ or against boys. That's fine. I'm not going to trash anyone. We don't have to trash the wnba in order to give props to high school players. The game is growing worldwide, and the wnba is still in its infancy. Go back and see how far the NBA grew after its first 20 years. It certainly wasn't what it is today. But it's absolutely true that WNBA teams would crush college teams and it would be ridiculous to watch a wnba team kill a high school team. Again, I'm very impressed with the talent of the future but that's exactly what they are, the future.
STEM schools. Science, Technology, Engineering and Math. So, you play bb for 10 years, and then what? You coach, maybe. But some people are drawn to greater and more rewarding challenges in life. How do you build a bridge. How do I make a missile more powerful. What diseases do I want to conquer. Do I want to be a trial lawyer, or be the head of Human Resources at a major firm. Of course, I'm thrilled about NIL, and it will be interesting to see just how much money student / athletes can make.
Paige Bueckers, best basketball player I’ve ever seen. Even though I’ve seen a LOT of excellent male players, nobody gets my attention like her, the flashy passes, they way she goes to attack the basket, her mid range shots, her vision is OUT OF THIS PLANET! She is a very complete player and her game is very entertaining to watch. Opinion: am I the only one who doesn’t like the way Jada plays? I mean, she’s talented and all, but I don’t think it’s the BEST. I think having skills is so different than playing basketball, idk
The WNBA would benefit from lowering the number of years of College players need to join. It would be nice if they can complete college while also playing in the WNBA.
I grew up hooping with girls, because my uncle was a girls basketball coach, because girls actually listen. That is why they are good shooters, they have perfect form, boys are more worried about how cool their shot looks, or they just change how they shoot all the time. Muscle memory is the name of the game...girls can hoop, this is not a new phenomenon.
How is it that all of these peeps are WNBA ready, have natural instincts, contain ice in the veins, and I am here at 46 YOA still trying to master the pick and roll!?
Yall need to stop disrespecting the Wnba. They only got a hand full of teams and with people like Sue Bird still playing going on 50. It's harder to make the Wnba in comparison to the nba. Put some respect on the wnba.
Thank you for sharing this video. These young women are amazing. Right now the women's game is much more entertaining to watch than men's college ball and a thousand times better than the men's professional ball.
@@polyshoxxs400 I would love to see an NBA game played by the rules but it's not ever going to happen. No traveling, turning the ball over or carrying it. No hooking, holding or checking on defense. The NBA resembles a hybrid football game/wrestling match.

Sorry that men can dunk. Some of these highlights are good but they playing against scrubs people that have no lateral quickness, athleticism or skill to be honest even the top women's players in the country shoot like 5th graders

I was making the observation that hanging from the basket I don’t seem to like for some reason. I’ve always marvelled at American basketball and would have loved to see a pro game with the men, they are such incredible athletes! You clearly know more about the playing game then me, how to play that is. I played the game years ago but not to any high standard, I like the game a lot. When I began to check it out again recently on RU-vid and so on, I was so amazed and impressed at the women’s game, and of all ages / sexes abilities. I found the video above to be really enjoyable. I’m a man by the way. Anyway thanks for your input about the game.
@@betweenevenings yeah they hang from the rims but alot if time it's for their own protection... There is a rule for it to detere them from show boating but again hanging on the rim can save a player from a much worst outcome.
@@KDotO79 thankyou a lot for the insight: this makes sense to me. It’s so competitive in the US at it seems any level. I played in British 3rd division way back In the 70’s which is not high standard at all. My coach played for English 1st division top club and he was really good playmaker. I saw a player deliberately injure him using crafty trick so can imagine what it’s like with such huge athletes all determined to win with massive financial gains to be made. I’d love to sit in front row at an US top game, here I could see the amazing presence of the game at that level. Thanks kindly it’s put the ring hanging in a better perspective.
Not just watch but imagine the marketing and exposure for girls basketball... Could of been a lebron circa 2002/03 for female basketball... If she became who many believe she could of been a big deal for wnba and its growth...even genie buss was talking about it how she would of been a game changer for women's basketball and its popularity... Why there are no offers from Princeton, Harvard, Yale, MIT but UCLA and other schools offers basketball to prospective basketball players. Does harvard, Yale, MIT and Princeton do not have college basketball team(men and women)?
coming from a girl, recently i've seen a lot more females playing and being inspired from basketball. i'm a 13 year old point guard in the 8th grade and have been playing since i was 4
Paige the only one I'd say could actually maybe compete with the top hs men's basketball players she actually entertaining to watch tbh. It has majorly improved in the last few years tho. Still think that the men's game is so much ahead with athleticism, size, and skill, its almost a different game
the wnba is a new league, remember when the NBA started off it was a bunch of plumbers and librarians playing? now there’s 13 year old guys like mikey williams was that are freaks of nature. I feel like in 20 years the wnba and female basketball players in general will completely evolve too
She's really great one of the top female players there is, but it's a whole entire different league when you start comparing her being able to play with the top men players.
The mens game is a different game because.. it’s a different gender, lol. There are MAJOR biological differences that make men naturally more athletic than women. It’s not like the women aren’t trying hard enough or are “behind”. I believe it will always be a different game. 🙂
I'm just saying there are some real stars that could really make the WNBA great like Paige Bueckuers, Zia Cooke, Jada Williams, Kiki Rice, Mara Braun, Hailey Van Lith, and so many more. These girls are going to make the WNBA fun to watch.
I want to place one Billon dollars for the dedicated girls of Girls High School Basketball that play and love it and the stuff, not the school just basketball.
No keep the rim at 10' that's why l like watching women college and wnba because l like watching the fundamentals of the game instead of all that above the rim play.
