Finally looks like the talent is improving in womens basketnall. Seeing some dunks, 3’s, and blocks are nice but I kinda wanna finally see some females with some real deal, streetball-like handles. I think that would prob make their game a lot more exciting
Agreed! In Las Vegas we saw the talent this summer for girl's basketball skyrocket! From 14U all the way up to 17U girls, this was a different year. We captured a lot of that journey, one example being the Las Vegas Storm Club team, who got a win over Shaq's daughter this summer! Here is a quick highlight reel from that tournament for the 14U - 17U girls!! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-0M3dr_O36KY.html
In 25 years the WNBA has never had a profitable season. It’s literally a charity league paid for by men, by the NBA. Women’s basketball just isn’t a good product.
Nice compilation! I enjoy watching some of the younger athletes and trying to follow their journeys. Maybe we'll see some of these girls in the WNBA someday.
the wnba in the 5 to 10 years will be amazing. With players like Clark, Bueckers, Boston, Reese. And the new prospects that will come along will make it so fun to watch
What I love is that these women are not only skilled, but they're playing loose and free. Before, there weren't too many women who didn't play by a cookbook, no matter how skilled they were. Now these women are shaking and baking, straight cooking the opposition. Women's basketball has a bright future ahead with this talent.
@@kronosis2767 it's from watching 30+ years of women's basketball and being able to compare and contrast. I also went to a college with a powerhouse program, who I had the good fortune of having classes across the street from their arena. 😂 The schools that played below the top 25 weren't just way less talented. They played like robots. Even when they had some level of skill, they didn't have a clue what to do outside of the offense to make plays. While the skill level has gone up some, the basketball IQ has gone up by leaps and bounds.
This is what happens when you support woman, when you bring POSITIVE energy to the WNBA, not make fun of it for being less watched and less athletic than the NBA. The sport evolves. I hope to see great things in the future!
It's not that woman aren't supported or that the WNBA is hopeless, but the idea that right now woman's basketball is just as good as men's is crazy. But that is slowly changing like you said and that's great
This makes sense to me, the longer there is a serious league, the more likely people have grown up training to get there. I really hope the WNBA has a sort of renaissance with the new generation of players
@@generalkayoss7347 That doesn't mean anything, it's still the largest women's basketball professional association, and is under the NBA. I stated "serious league", not "profitable" league. And with growth they've pulled $60 million in revenue but had an expenditure of $70. Assume the natural progress of growth that they've had, they'll be profitable soon enough, especially if they continue to increase revenues by 10% like they did recently. Also, there could be potentially much more attention to the league if people weren't constantly trying to find more and more reasons to defame the league. Lastly, I don't entirely understand people's obsession with the league, and their need to find any reason to make a mockery of it. If you don't care about the league, that's perfectly fine, just stay out of it.
@@johnmacdonald5767 difference is I'm not saying they should be payed the same regardless of popularity or income. I'm literally just making a statement/prediction that maybe the league can get more interesting in the future. But people, for some reason, have an obsession to hound on the league whenever possible when it has nothing to do with them. I love Bill Burr, but like he said, none of y'all give a fuck about the WNBA, if none of these guys that I've been seeing on the comments care. Why are they always in the WNBA comment sections? Why must they ALWAYS make a point that has been rehashed into absurdity?
Now that's the way to get the salary packages of players higher. Make these sports women play in entertaining (improve skills, abilities etc)! Lets gooo!! 💪🏽😎
The problem with the WNBA is that the league is just starting to pick up steam with young women choosing to focus on the sport. When this happens, women's college basketball, and even some of the high school players, end up looking more competitive with that talent than the WNBA itself does.
Yeah, WNBA salaries are pretty much regular professional's money so if you have the physical abilities and skill to play WNBA, it's not a given that you'd head to the WNBA, it's just as likely to use that scholarship to be a doctor or lawyer or some profession like that and end up making more money.
That’s what I’m talking about! Showcase these players so we can get to know them and their story before the league.. BallisLife starts showcasing good make talent at the middle school level.. the wnba won’t ever be anything more than a second rate product until they stop doing the exact same things as the nba and begging to be carried.
College basketball is still the peak for women’s basketball. Even more so with NIL money. But maybe that will change some day with all of the talent like this coming in?
The power of edited compilations! Makes everything look 10 times better. Watch the full game of the same clips and you might be in for a different kind of surprise 🤮 That being said, these girls are good man!
2 of them was, shaq daughter at 6'4 and Toby fournier at 6'2 which can even do reverse dunks. I really think only 1 evolved since dunking under 6'4 is already extremely rare in women's basketball but now 1 can do more than just the normal 1 handed common dunk.
Somebody should put the money up to start a new league to rival the WNBA and lower the rim to 8 or 8.5 feet and 24 sec shot clock to speed up the pace of the game. It could be very exciting to watch.
More than one? To be fair the 3 that shaq made was a 10/10 on the difficulty scale. It was a buzzer beater from damn near half court and he had to catch and shoot it off an inbounds pass while running from a defender with less than a second on the clock. Shaq may not have made more than one three in his career but the one he did make sure was nice.
The game doesn’t translate well for girls from high school and college to pro a lot of the times. They have to be 22 to get drafted so a lot of them get hurt before they can go pro. A lot of the college women’s coaches aren’t as supportive of young talent so they make even some of the best girls come off the bench which limits the shine and buzz they can get to get more pro scouts attention. It’s a lot more that needs to change for the women’s game in order to make the wnba more entertaining but they never talk about this stuff for whatever reason it’s all the guys’ fault 😂
@@ceionteperry4764 and it's still a travel. I don't pick and choose. I don't condone curry doing it. 🤷🏾♂️ Move around talkin' that "sexist" shit. If this clip was of curry and someone commented his footwork was crazy, I woulda said the same thing
This is so interesting. I've never paid attention to HS basketball for men or women...but these were some great highlights. As a basketball fan I've always said it's not women basketball thats not entertaining, it's the WNBA that for some reason just doesn't do it for me. Women's college basketball is fun and exciting but the women's pro stuff just seems slow and boring and I can't put a finger on why. After watching this clip I might have to look into watching some women's HS ball that ladies can fucking ball.
Women basketball is far more interesting when they don't try to play like men.. wnba is the failing because of that.. nonsense cry babies.. politics.. and so
Well the league is still fairly new. I’m sure if we saw the footage for the nba when it was 25 years old it wasn’t what it is now. These girls will make it when the wnba is like 35 years old so the competition will change and it’ll be far more competitive and have more action. Only time will tell
@@MB-nb7yq Your comparison in time is totally dumb.. There wasn't another league to pay the debts and salary of players in the 70's.. you had already bunch of great HOF players.. Please read and learn more before trying to promote the Wnba that way
@@modoki666 It’s not to promote anything and the wnba has hall of fame players too. All I’m saying is that what the nba wasn’t what it is as it was at 25. Like you wouldn’t compare yourself at 25/30 to a 75/80 year old. At 75 you’ve experienced far more than a 25 year old. Maybe a better way of explaining for you
@@MB-nb7yq Once again I repeat as you still use nonsense exemple..after 25 years Nba wasn't losing money and there weren't internet and all the amont of propaganda used as nowadays to promote wnba. And comparing a league when it started around 1950.. to a league which started in 1996.. 🤦♂️ Sure were so much easier in the past lol..
Too bad these young women don't plan on going to the WNBA, but rather be coaches and physical therapists, which is fine. I wanna keep seeing the WNBA make fools of themselves.
While we are at it, make the hoop smaller. They already get to shoot a smaller ball. Lets see what the real shooting percentages would be like if the ball diameter to hoop diameter ratio were the same. I shot a womens ball after practice one day and barely missed a shot in 15 minutes. Equality...amirite?
@@robertclaessens3676 Then it just becomes a circus sideshow though. Shouldnt we be trying to level the playing field? Gender equality and all right? Why do we look the other way while standards are lowered for women, while at the same time telling them they can do anything a man can?
@@shansen008Why does the NBA and the WNBA have to be "equal" 🤔 The only to make it equal is to mix men and women in the same league and that would be ridiculous 🤨 Don't compare the two, figure out how to make the WNBA entertaining so it may be PROFITABLE 🤑🤑🤑
Okay she is nice, you have to take into account they are talking about HS females she was two handing, she may grow and she will def get stronger, can't wait to see her at the next level
@@dev-_-lit9590 I was thinking the same thing i'v seen middle school boys dunk better than that> If they would lower the rim to nine feet the female game would be so much more entertaining.
