Jessica who left the group; girls generation is in a newly form chinese girl group in china. Shes trying her hard to learn chinese also to promote in china even though shes korean american because sm entertainment has the power to ban her from promotion in music shows in korea. They too powerful! And hence she cannot promote any music in south korea. The powerful is always the one behind the scenes controlling not famous multi million air celebrities that is always on tv

I think it’s very difficult for someone that hasn’t been into K-pop for very long to understand how special this comeback actually is. Girls generation were one of the pioneers for the K-pop we see today, and after a 5 year hiatus they came back with this. Especially since they are all very successful in their own right so they really didn’t have to do this, but they still did it for their fans. This song and comeback is a blessing to so many K-pop fans, it’s AMAZING!

YESSS THEY ARE THE LONGEST KOREAN GIRL GROUP EVER THAT TOUCH 15th ANNIVERSARY! Despite of 3 members already in another agencies, but they still making this schedule fit for all of them is amazing. And even though each of them is only focus in individual schedule, girls generation still in the top brand image for girl group competing with the younger groups. They come from 2nd gen KPOP and still making a comeback in 4th gen era.

This is their 15th anniversary :) The maknae (youngest) Seohyun was 16 when they debuted. So now the youngest is 31! Yeah, they're all vampires or something, but we still love them!! This comeback is pretty much a miracle for long-time fans btw, after 5 years and the members so busy with their individual careers it was starting to look like a permanent hiatus, but they kept saying they were still part of one group and hadn't disbanded so we kept hoping. Thanks for reacting!

I got about 45 seconds into this MV before I started crying, TBH. It's a love song sung BY Girls' Generation TO Girls' Generation, it's the members speaking directly to each other and to their fans. I am so glad their 15-year anniversary comeback wasn't about romance or boys or whatever, it's about lifelong friendship between women, and it's beautiful.

To answer your question "how many groups are as talented as Girls' Generation?" THERE IS NONE. Now if the question was how many groups out there that are talented then the answer is many. But NONE until this day can stand on equal standing as Girls' Generation. Girls' Generation is the leading female kpop group and thr only one that can stand on equal footing and beat boy group. And this jd not an opinion but straight facts. No other girl group in kpop history has been able to accomplish what GG did by overcoming the competition of boy group to winning top awards. They are the female version of Super Junior their sibling/older brother. The two are extreme vocal heavy groups that stand together at the TOP OF KPOP ROYALTY.

i'm not a fan and only have one of their song on my playlist but this song and mv made me emotional. i just think it's so amazing they've been doing this for 15 years. i listened to the full album and liked every song. i should have done this way earlier but i'm gonna go through their entire discography now. i'm so happy this was on my home page or i might not have listened to it at all

As an avid fan of SNSD since 2008 is really nostalgic and so emotional seeing eight members together again even if Sooyoung,Seohyun and Tiffany left SME they still have not forgotten the bond they made since then. So bad we still want an OT9 but we all do love Jessica and since SME announced SNSD is an eight official members,we still get the vibe and energy from our Senior Sunbaenims.If you noticed the bridge part,they used the key of "Into the new world" in that part and that made me emotional. actually, all of them are all in their 30's. and even SM Ent., spend millions of cash, just to make this comeback happens in elegant, the company won't mind, because this Mythical Queens raises by SM Ent., was 1, and 1st of the 4 strong foundation of KPOP. the so called "SS Tier". and their company? it's only the 1st rank in the "BIG 3", the 3 biggest entertainment ever here in South Korea, along with YG Ent., and JYP Ent. (well, aside from HIVE Ent.,)

you really dont need to hear more groups who are vocally great cuz you are already listening to the best kpop girl group be it vocally, dancing, visuals, presence, legacy and etc. They are a league of their. They are the textbook. Other groups will be lower to SNSD. They are good but not the best. You are literally listening to the legends. Girls' Generation is not just a K-Pop Group", it's "THE" K-Pop Group (the OG "The Nations Girl Group"). You can't overestimate their influence on K-Pop as "genre" and industry. None of the other groups, you're reacting to, would be here without them. Since their debut in 2007, they lead 2nd Gen K-Pop and where one of the "Big 3" groups of 2nd Gen (besides Wondergirls and 2NE1). Their last release as full group was 2017. This is their 15th anniversary and nobody really expected new music from them (3 of them aren't even under contract with the label anymore but still came back for this). If you want a "quick" introduction I would suggest to start with these few songs (in their chronological order): Gee, The Boys, I Got A Boy, Catch Me If You Can, Lion Heart and You Think. Of course the rabid hole goes way deeper with Girls Generation and there are even more great 2nd Gen K-Pop groups worth checking out, but Girls' Generation is kinda mandatory for every so called K-Pop fan.

Yes today I'd their 15th anniversary. They started at age 17-19 years old back in 2007. So youngest is 32 and eldest 34. This is their korean age knowing that makes them 1 year older compare to international age.

Side note re the MV budget that you pointed out: you can get way interesting background if you watch--and hopefully react to--the behind the scenes video - very enjoyable and informative, plus it will SLAY you if you like beautiful women. If you wanna know bunch of Groups that have great vocal line, I suggest you check on all of SM Entertainment groups and soloists. Kangta - first gen soloist BoA - first gen soloist TVXQ - second gen duo boy(man) group (I think they're one of the best performer of KPOP) Super Junior - second gen boy group (they have some hit song that even you think you hear it first time, I think you'll say you heard it somewhere) Girls' Generation - second gen girl group SHINee - second gen boy group F(x) - second gen girl group (idk what're their status rn. But they've been inactive for long time and no official statement from SME) EXO - third gen boy group Red Velvet - third gen girl group NCT - third gen boy group (biggest SM group because the members are 23 and still counting. The unit is NCT U, NCT 127, NCT Dream, WayV) aespa - fourth gen girl group SuperM and G.O.T are super group projects of SME that include some SM idol from each group. You should check all of them. Their vocal is insane

First,a group of soloists, musical artists, actresses, djs, hosts, businesswomen, endorsers, ambasadresses, chefs, authors, etc. to have all these successful individuals in one group is beyond incredible. Secondly,I'm literally crying watching the MV. Been a sone since 2011 and I’m so happy to see them together again. And also the line distribution and vocals, my god! Okay i just feel like i need to comment this bc it's still making me emotional! This is their first group comeback in 5 yrs and they made sure to represent their "together, a part, them tgether again" motto so well in the lyrics and the video 💖 So brief history on why their long hiatus: after their 10th anniversary the girls decided to focus on their solo careers and have been supporting each others as individuals while promising fans that Girls' Generation isn't over (and for these 5 yrs there were lots of ppl saying they were), they are all rlly busy in their solo careers and in 4 different agencies, so lining up a comeback w everyones schedules and negotiating amongst the agencies wasn't easy. So you can see how these lyrics are a love letter to fans who waited for their return.. but also the imagery in the MV??? Tiffany in the plane (she left to persue a career in the US during this time), Yoona in a movie set (she's one of the most awarded idol-turned actress in history), Hyoyeon DJing (her solo career is as a DJ), Sooyoung signing autographs (another very prolific and succesful actress as are all of the maknae line), Seohyun in the theatre set (she's a succesful actress and has done lots of musicals and is passionate abt them), Sunny in the limo/being watched on tv screen (girl has hosted SO MANY vareity shows it's insane), Taeyeon with the mic on stage (as you know she continues to be incredibly succesful as a singer with her solo stuff), Yuri also in smth like a press con event (she's another of our amazingly talented and succeful actresses).. and then they all coming together right before the bridge. They are really saying no matter where we are, WE ARE ONE, and we'll always comeback to our home 🥺 oh and to answer you're question from the begining, they were 16-18 years old when they debuted, they are now 31-33

watching this made me cry and it was my first snsd song/mv i've ever seen/heard. (i've heard bits and pieces here and there over the years. i've listened to kpop since 2016. i've seen other idols dance to their songs in variety shows.) it's so emotional, so impactful and meaningful. i immediately was able to see that in this music video. they are so beautiful. they are so so so so beautiful. their voices are like angels. i feel so proud? all of a sudden? for a girl group i've never experienced until now. i literally cried. it's a masterpiece i am blown away. it's so so so special and i could tell immediately even though i'm checking them out for the first time.

SNSD (abbreviation of GG's Korean name) are really one of the strongest groups in kpop vocally. Their vocal line have always been solid, so they were able to survive losing one of their 2 main vocalists back in 2014 and remained a very well sounding group. And then over the years the dance line have improved so much, they don't have weak links at all anymore. Don't get fooled by the laid back nature of their choreography either, by the way. SNSD have always been known for their great synchronization and smart dance formations. Their dance line is very solid and Hyoyeon in particular is known as one of the best dancers in kpop history. They do have much more challenging choreographies as a group and definitely don't lack talent in this department. But an even bigger talent of theirs, as some host mentioned back in the days, is the ability to make people happy. I'd argue it's a quality much harder to acquire than learning to sing and dance. They have personality, they have chemistry, they have this very mature, relatable and punchy kind of humor, they are great performers with good vibes and this combination is just healing. Personally, it's the main reason I'm a fan.

Girls Generation are the OG girlgroup and the role models of many many kpop idols. Girls Generation debuted on August 5th 2007! ❤️ Taeyeon is the oldest born 1989 and Seohyun the youngest born 1991

You have to try out SHINee! They're called the princes of k-pop for a reason! They're originally a 5 member group (debuted in 2008 in the same company as Girl's Generation), that unfortunately lost a member due to suicide back in 2017. They are the reason I got into k-pop and I've never looked back. "Tell me what to do" and "Dream Girl" are two of my favorite songs as 5. Though I love every single song they put out, I feel like these 2 are 2 different genera's you could enjoy.

Girls Generation was the group that debuted in a time period where only boy groups mattered and literally transformed the industry into a girls generation. In only 2 years they were beating all said boy groups in terms of sales and popularity and became the most important korean group nationally and one of the biggest celebrities in Asia. They literally have olympic champions dedicating their trophies to them, a seat at the president's table and they are the role model of most of the newer debuted girl groups. The girl group trainees need to learn girls generation choreos during their trainee period. This comeback is very emotional for their fans because all of them have huge individual careers right now and it's very hard for everyone's schedules to allign for a new album.

Nice reaction! And since you just got to know this group, it is definitely necessary to check their debut song, Into the New World, which is considered the most successful debut song in Kpop history. Every new girl band, such as Twice, Blackpink, Mamamoo, you name it, has to learn how to dance to this song. Therefore, I do really recommend checking the song that brought this respected female group to us 15 years ago. You will love it!

"How many groups are...as talented as Girls Generation?".you ask. I believe the answer is zero. No other group has the depth and breadth of SNSD in singing or dancing. It's a major reason why literally EVERY 3rd and 4th Generation girl group had to learn and perform some of SNSD's discography to be judged debut-ready by their agencies.. SNSD as a group, and it's individual members directly inspired the current girl groups....SNSD are the reason they exist. As to the vocals here being a "flex"....I don't think so at all...IMHO this is just standard for them. For some f'lex I'd recommend the SNSD subunit 'TTS/TaeTiSeo, literally anything by Taeyeon, Taeyon and Tiffany doing Lady Marmalade live.

If you wanna look into groups that have top tier songs with amazing vocals and choreo - Dreamcatcher and WJSN. They are both underrated and a lot of ppl are missing out.

To shed a little light on why this song is so important, and emotional for every Girls Generation fan. During the early years, they recorded a ballad call "Forever." The group dedicated this as a love song between the group and their fandom (Sones). I discovered Girls Generation in 2011 and have loved them ever since. I have actually asked that this ballad be played when I die. For fans, this ballad is their heart and soul. This new song, "Forever 1," means so much to their fandom, and yes, the tears are flowing. To this day, 11 years after discovering them, I still cry every time I hear that ballad...and love the new song as well. It is a reconfirmation of that love that has been there for so long between the girls and the fans that have never stopped loving them. They will always be a part of my heart, and I believe most fans would say the same.
