He kept calling double touch set thingies and the sets look perfectly fine to me. Idk maybe it’s cause of the angle but seriously that was annoying as hell
Victoria Mendes yeah they know you can tell that it’s a double when the ball spins more that once and Pam was saying how wack the ref is for making bad calls
ikr but one time someone passed it and it was already spinning and i set it and it was NOT a double yet he still called it a double bc it was spinning. smh. but thats why i bump set it when its spinning or imma get called...
• A E S T H E T I C A L L Y P E R F E C T • when the setter goes to set, but her hands touch the ball at different times so it counts as two touches (double hit)
If you block the ball It doesn’t count as a touch, that’s why sometimes blockers touch the ball twice in games but it doesn’t get called until their third hit
Cause he ruled it wasn't a block, it was a hit into the net which is then ruled as a touch out of bounds rather than a straight out of bounds call. The editing on this video doesn't give a lot of time to see what the ref called as the reason for the rally to have ended.
I think both teams in terms of skill are almost equally matched, it was a really entertaining game. As an attacker myself though, I cringed with every one of those spikes, they went up instead of down.
The setter on the white team deserves a lot of respect for how she responded to all of the double calls. She took them well and just went on to the next point, even though a lot of them were really tight calls. Respect.
Yasss queen, since the comment section is talking about how good #21 is, we're gonna back that up by showing you that she saves the ball. 6:32 6:46 7:00
im trying out soon and im very very nervous, i started volleyball just a year ago and have been working really hard since then. i like to watch these videos to get an idea, cause ive never played on a school team before.
@@rex.ranier Not under the high school rules. You can't play a ball that's entirely on the other side of the net. In addition, she stepped over the line inside of the antenna to get there.
Timmy getoffthecomputer i’m not sure it did because 1 the ball doesn’t bounce off the net like that and 2 the right side on the white team knew she blocked it. i think it was a bad call
We had a ref like this for our middle school game. He called double for almost every set. (Only 1 was really a double.) Needless to say, he’s not allowed to ref tourni’s for any sport. Thank goodness. 😂☠️
That's not what he called. He signalled a net violation, meaning a player contacted the net. If his call would have been that the ball had hit the net and landed out of bounds, it would have been a touch signal.
Ally Moeder actually when you set with your palms it’s a lift when the ref holds up two fingers it’s because her hands didn’t make contact the the ball at the same time so she “touched it twice”
