As someone who has been in a break up, I can pretty much say the case like this most of the time is because: Girls while in relationship really held on to it (i am in no way saying boys do not), so once that relationship is over. They will feel the effect on the spot, and gradually get on the right track after everything. Boys in most cases want to be somewhat "free" or at the very least, miss those instances. So once the relationship is over, they get to have that freedom but will realize what happened over the course of time. This, however, does not conclude that "girls do not treasure relationship as much as guys do" no, it still on the person themselves. Holding on to something like a toxic relationship will only lead to doom for you and the other.

That was basically how it played out for my parents. My mom moved on after like a month or two after the divorce. My dad on the other hand? He did not take it lightly even if he never showed it. I don't think he ever recovered, and to compensate with the negativity, he made sure to add more negativity by drinking every single weekend and sometimes every day whenever he wasn't working. His unhealthy lifestyle lead to his meningitis(a part of his frontal lobe was damaged) in 2014 and then on March 13th, 2020 he lost his driver's license(he fell asleep at the steering-wheel) and that's when he lost his job as a truck driver and then he became a full-time alcoholic. Since he never gad his own money by the time he was fired, he took several loans through texts and he spent some of that money on alcohol. April 20th, 2020: He has two cerebral hemorrhages and gets sent to the hospital. Edit: He was already drinking even before their divorce.

Tbh, it depends. I was madly in love with someone who didn't care about me at all, what he did was completely making an illusion telling how he loved me, and how much he wanted to be with me, but then afterwards I just found out he wanted just to "make" it and get out. He was indeed a good person, besides all that trash that he talked about. I met him in 2012 it took me actually almost 5 years to completely forget him and move on, it truly hurted me. But now, I'm good and having an amazing life with my actual fiancé. I wish everyone who is in this same situation just to be better, everything is going to fix and just cut out people who makes you feel sad.

As a girl I've been thinking about why this is (in many cases) and I think I know why girls seem to get over a breakup more quickly. For some reason I think girls hold in their feelings more. For example if their bf made them mad they won't really talk about it to them, either just continue like nothing happened or like sulk for a while. Even after they seem to have gotten over that they're still a bit hurt inside. But I think when a girlfriend makes her boyfriend angry he gets angry and resolves the situation as soon as it happens. So the girl holds onto hurt until it builds up, while the boyfriend thinks everything is OK. Yeah, breaking up is sad, but the girlfriend has already been over the relationship even before they broke up. So that's why she's sad at first and gets happier as time goes on. This is just my theory, do not take this as fact please, and ofc personalities vary person to person

As someone who listens to countless love story, The concept can depict how the girl (or can i just say the feminine role) would felt extremely rejected because she thought she was doing all the best, but maybe extremly clingy and jealous, which annoys the masculine SO. And thus the breakup. Thus day one, the femme would usually be rlly upset but the masc would be delighted. Femme slowly figuring out how to improve oneself. 1. Strange. Normally what i see after a breakup is a bitch going all out with a bunch of dudes while the guy cries for a couple weeks and move on to do something with the boys. The best improvement i've ever seen in women in the short term usually is just... Empowerment trough sex? However, I have seen the inverse happen once before, where the guy moved on rather quickly despite the fact they were dating for 7 years, and he basically dumped her before their wedding just because he decided his job was more important, changed his mind and stayed with her for the night, but then went back to choosing the career opportunity the next day. As for the lady? Understandably, she was devastated by this, it was painful to watch it happen and to see how much she changed as a person after.

If someone is wondering why this happens, the answer is actually quite simple. At first, girls are absolutely devastated and grieve during some time, while men don't usually process things and go out and have fun, etc. Within some time, girls will get their grieving done with, move on and be happy, while men will be done with their partying/having fun/etc and start to come to terms with what's going on and grieve. This is what happens usually, but everybody responds differently, and nobody's at fault.
The true reason is lots of men hide their feelings from other people and pretend to fine when they aren't, while women aren't afraid to use friends or stuff like that to talk about their exes. So, it ends up being buried inside for men while women manages to exhaust the pain

Bro it's been 3 years and I still miss her. I've cycled through many different women since her and not a single one could fill the hole she left. I know this is merely a memeable situation with no specifics regarding the conditions of the breakup whatsoever, but I’ve existed around girl friends that make infinite facebook indirect, not-so-subtle posts that talk about “how could you break my heart” a thousand times after the breakup when they hadn’t even started a formal relationship with a guy, while the guy becomes black&white uncanny mr. Incredible for like two or three months and then go back to normal, and they aren’t even that much of the bad guys of the story to begin with
This is somewhat accurate. Men really do take a lot longer to get over relatioships of any kind since we dont really replace them as easily, while girls meeting new people and forming bonds with them at any level is something that happens almost every week or so. But tbh if a breakup affects you for that long, you probably needs therapy because you are either traumatized and abused or you are an abuser who cant let go of a victim

I get this is a joke, however as a guy i was over it in at most three weeks. after the second week it was fine just didnt feel like doing much (not depression just lazy due to school break) third week i was back to normal
Everybody takes different times, on average it takes 6 months to get over a breakup, I got over it after 7 but I still think about it from time to time.

as someone who was in a bipolar relationship and had her take her moods out on me and never apologized for it afterward, I'd say the roles are reversed in my case, I'm happy now that her negativity isn't constantly dragging me down
This is very accurate. The key difference is that men hide their feelings (and pretend to be ok) while women expose their pain, even if it's awkward for the listener. So, men end up burying it inside while women run out of reasons to be hurt by it.
