eh, what you hear in the gun space is often questionable in and of itself 😂🤣 only issue i have had with my 2311 was a little silly one. but i have had no issues out of my of my 1911s at all ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-WnCNHPS_5bM.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-r-a3ezM7Yik.html
The Tanfoglio is apparently no longer being imported, so they have become scarce and prices have soared. Turkey makes good guns at a more down to Earth price. I have a Glock 20 Gen 3
It appears the problem could be that, EAA was the sole importer of Tanfoglio, and they dropped them in favor of Girsan products. The only Tanfoglio pistols available are in the secondary market, mostly auction sites like gunbroker.
interestingly enough, i had dinner with the CEO of EAA and the owner of Tanfoglio Friday evening. i can't say for sure what actually happened but can say they are 100% friends, so regardless of what the actual cause of the split might have been, seems it was not one sided. i was told that Tan simply could not supply firearms as quick as Girsan and that they were not open to imput from EAA on design as Girsan but EAA was imported, for a year or two at the same time as Tan. that is about all i know
Over the weekend, I ordered the Hunter, factory new, and got a good price on it. It hasn't shipped out yet. Like so many guns, the Witness has gotten too expensive. The only place I've seen any for sale is gunbroker.
Hi Clover, thanks for the review man, exactly what I was looking for. How would you rate the balance of the hunter? I ask because I own a Sig Xten and its very front/barrel heavy.
i think the balance is pretty good, never been a Sig fan anyway, so hard to say on that end. i do think that the addition of my full size Streamlight TLR flashlight may help just a bit. it this one feels good, so far has ran good, accurate enough, i like it a lot. now i did change out the grips, paint the front sight, etc. i have more videos on this one if you wanna just search the channel, might give you a little better idea if you see it in action a little more. keep in mind though too, the Wtiness 2311 (double stack) versions should be dropping soon. they were supposed to already be out but there have been some big brother atf gubment setbacks unfortunately. eaa/girsan will be offering the 6" version of that in a 10mm right out of the gate. just something to think about, especially if capacity is opiion you might be looking for
@@CloverTac Thank you bro, I didn’t know about the new eaa model coming out I’ll have to look online for it. Sounds like it’s going to be a hit. Appreciate the heads up.
you bet and yeah, it was announced at SHOT Show back in January, was supposed to release like in March or so but again, powers that be have kept it held up. there are a whole lot of people very excited and being very impatient about getting their hands on them, so if and when you see one, better snag it up quick. i sure hope we see them in the wild within the next few months. i stay in touch with eaa pretty regularly as they are friends of the channel. they are just as frustrated as we are at the delays and even more so with all the bs they are having to go through. there are a lot of morons that don't understand the firearm industry, especially importers and talk smack about delayed releases. there is nothing more eaa can do at this point, they are doing everything they can within the confines of stupid federal regulatory agencies.... atf and dept of state
well aren't you just too kind BUT i don't get hung up too much on whether or not my shooting is good or not. i have spent way too much time in competitions to know there are always people out there who are better. long as you are "good enough" and you are having fun, that is all that matters, right? 😂🤣
I have a Tanfoglio Witness Pro 10mm looks like yours but it has a a bull barrel, adjustable rear sight and removable front sight. I put on a fiber optic front sight and polished all the internals, also lighten the spring. Is a dream to shoot now, is one of my best shooters so far.
i hear ya... finding 10mm ammo choices gets tricky. thankfully our friends at Fort Scott was kind enough to send this. and i think you would probably agree.... with as good as these groups are at 10 yards, groups at 25 yard would obviously be good enough for vitals when hunting. heck you could even get a sweep back rail mounted scope/sight base if you wanted and this thing would flat out rock at that point.
I have emailed Girsan twice with my issues looking for some help. NO RES[PONSE. NOTHING! What kind of manufacture doesn't even respond? The WORST KIND! STAY AWAY FROM GIRSAN
intersting... did you ever cosider that your email got caught in a spam filter? maybe do to you typing in all caps? did you reach out to Girsan or EAA because EAA, if you live in the US is who needs to be contacted, not Girsan. you are obviously upset but maybe take a deep breath and think about things a little more. i would be happy to try and assist you in reaching someone who may be able to help but would first say, calm down a bit my friend. it is much easier to get people to help you if you are not using a hateful tone.
@CloverTac You seem to think that my "tone" is unwarranted. What would your tone be if you spent $700 on a gun that shoots this bad? Yes, EAA has had it. When the firing pin plate dropped out, they were made aware of its major inaccuracies. They installed a new pin, but did NOTHING about the poor accuracy. So then I tried a last ditch effort, and tried contacting Girsan, using the provided address on their contact page. If you could help, I would greatly appreciate it.
reach out to me through the website, email, social media DM/PM, etc. all too often get no notification of a comment and never get a notification for a reply... youtube is just unreliable like that.
