This video discusses the girting (girding or girthing) of tugs that occurs when the ship pulls the tug instead of the tug pulling the ship.

Excellently simplified. I was reading in various books for my master's exam in UK . But the explanation in the books and in the you tube is so overly complicated. You really made it very lucid Kudos to you.

this has been explained in such a simple manner that even a cadet can easily understand. i was never able to know why it happens but after watching this video it is now imprinted in my mind. thanks a lot sir

Captain, I follow your channel, it has a lot of good videos. I think they are very completed and illustrative, the only thing that I suggest to you respectfully is to improve the sound in them, in a lot of your good videos the sound is very poor and it is very difficult to understand what you are explaining.
