The world became a different place for me when Giru disbanded. I'm so happy that they are following their wants and dreams but selfishly I needed this. Girugamesh was the start of my love for Japanese music and jrock in general. This song is just as amazing as I knew it would be because this band is perfect to me. Good karma for 2022. 🥰
I remember the pain when they disbanded and my inner child and present adult are over the moon with joyyyyyy!! It's like ORIGINAL hard-core Girugamesh! So they have made me so dang happy!
girugamesh - 「engrave」is a miracle that does not happen to the most of disbanded bands. It is a new but nostalgic song that warms your heart up and reminds you why you love them so much even after all these years - their sound made you who you are. Has it really been this long? Time sure flies. I was at a concert of the good bye tour - it does not feel that long at all. I am so excited! Maybe there will be another Girugamesh concert

I remember listening to these dudes back in Jr high 14 years ago on my iPod touch 2nd gen singing “Breakdown” every single day 🤧🖤Fast forward to the present I’ve been playing bass for about 10 years now thanks to amazing bass players like Shuu who influenced me and have had the privilege to play many shows with my own band. I have to say it’s solid bands like this that are what the world needs, When I hear Girugamesh I instantly know it’s them. The beautiful trademark clean vocals by Satoshi, the face melting guitar riffs from Nii, the always alive and moving bass lines by Shuu and of course Ryo on drums who glue’s the entire band together with the energy and awesome drums fills 🤘🔥 They really nailed it all with this new song, Heavy riffs, Super aggressive screams, Breakdowns, and of course that trademark Girugamesh chorus that makes you cry. Absolute perfection, I can’t thank this band enough for this blessing 🙏🖤
They are one of the very first J-rock bands I ever listened to and I absolutely love their music! They have such amazing and heavy riffs and a lot of the music just makes you want to headbang. Satoshi's yelling/screaming is another one of my favorite things about the band. I don't know if they are really coming back or just releasing this one song but I do hope they come back for more releases. Definitely not a band that should have ended and they deserve a lot more recognition.

Watched it twice in a row and still can't quite believe it's real. This was flawless! It's like they never went away (though I've missed them painfully these last 5.5 years 😭). This was the exact style and sound I was hoping they'd go for with this. It felt like their old stuff, heavy and beautiful. It felt like THEM. I'm particularly in awe at Satoshi's vocals after all this time. His range is still incredible, forever one of my favourite voices to listen to 🥰

I remember listening to them a lot in highschool and almost 15 years later I'm amazed that they came back. This song has those elements that I really want to hear. Not many bands can pull this balance off.
Apparently it's just one song (the source being Satoshi's twitter account). Keep you expectations low and you won't be disappointed. Still awesome though, never would've thought I'd hear any new music from them.

I remember going alone to see these live in London a long time ago, I had never travelled anywhere alone before, and they were incredible. I saw gigs by Girugamesh and Miyavi within the same weekend. Best weekend of my life.

Aww I’m super happy they came back with another song! I love it and I love them so much they’re one my top fav bands 💕 I remember seeing Girugamesh in a Philadelphia even met them with my sister after the show. They signed my bag and my sister flirted with Satoshi lol 😂 she had him sign her white jeans and he was shocked cause it was her thigh area smh 🤦♀️ ,, he asked if she was sure but overall he happily did it lol
