Topic: Partners in Health: Public Health responding to Climate Change
Our changing climate is leading to new and expanded public health threats in communities across the country. Climate change demands new skills and cross-cutting solutions to protect public health. Health departments are uniquely positioned to partner with other sectors to work with communities as we prepare for and increasingly respond to climate related health impacts. Health departments have deep experience in community engagement and education, identifying vulnerable populations and projecting population health outcomes. We'll discuss the challenges and opportunities for innovation, the roles of health equity and community resilience in Climate preparedness.
