Giulia Imperio (ITA -49kg) hit a career defining lift at the last-chance qualifier to stay in with a chance at making the summer games. Watch the full session | www.weightliftinghouse.tv
God calls you to repentance. Tomorrow is not a promise, and God does not want you to die in sin and go to hell, but to repent and believe in Jesus Christ for eternal life That is why Jesus Christ (God made Man) died on the cross. You broke the Law, but Christ paid your fine. He suffered in your place, as your Substitute, and rose again after three days, now seated at the right hand of the Father; He is King over all. "For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life" (John 3:16). Christ is coming soon.
Despite her not posting a total, for her to come back and snatch 85 after 2 misses AND bombing out at Euros is remarkable. That takes true resilience, especially in such a rough sport like weightlifting
for everyone wondering, she had to get at least 85 to to stay in contention for Paris. So, may as well give yourself at least 3 shots at it (is my guess at what the strategy was, and it does make some sense). yes, it's an aggressive weight, but why waste chances on less? it sounds like she worked up to at least 80 in warm up, so, just got for it.
Sometimes you just get taken back by how much it means to someone. You can see it took everything she had. I don't care much for powerlifting but this was awesome to see
I don't know how you guys came across my feed. But man, I've been watching your stuff. It's addictive. Goes to show you don't need volumes of action to make a sport interesting. The grit and determination of these athletes makes for damn compelling viewing.
@@kittlydelrey they were retired and took a payday. Tell me 2 weightlifters who wouldn’t get in a boxing match for a million dollars each When’s the last time a strongman got an ohp rep disallowed because they dropped the bar wrong?
Absolute respect for her and for all the athletes that competes in this sport. If I had my carrer hanging on a 5 seconds moment I would crumble even before touching the bar. Respect
I know this isn’t any kind of consolation for her but even if she had made her last cl&jk she still wouldn’t have qualified. Two other athletes passed her afterwards. Still the third attempt snatch save was outstanding and gave her fans hope for a little while longer. Terrific competitor.
Pwoah her elbow just held, that's insane, what a legend. I really didn't think she'd get it, the first two attempts were pretty severe failures. Very surprising, impressive work.
I really don't understand the team Italy strategy. Why they can't start at a low weight to build confidence in the athlete and then jump to heavier weights? I'm really sorry for Giulia, she has a great technique, but it seems that the pressure put in these athletes are too high for her.
This is probably the third competition she has bombed out on:what’s peculiar is that Sergio Massida has consistently improved,Pizzolato is basically maintaining,Magistris is doing OK,Misirendino is doing sub optimal whereas she is the ONLY Italian that is consistently bombing. Either she’s not listening to coaches,or they’re giving her bad advice or she’s doing her own thing.
Because in order to qualify She has to lift at least 85kg, so they prefer to start with the "maximum" weight, having 3 attempts. By the way, I agree with you, mentally speaking it can be a dangerous strategy.
This a great example of when ppl talk about fork in the road in life, she was literally between the two realities of either working as a trainer at equinox or competing in the Olympics in that twenty seconds
I want to write my thoughts about Weightlifting House. I have been watching this channel for a while now. I think I joined just prior to Europeans this year. That money I spent to join to become a member is the best money I have ever spent on sporting events. These Pan-American's, Asian, European, and World's Championships are the best events in my opinion. I have become very accustomed to the great narration. I forget the Englishman's name, but that gentleman has an encyclopedic knowledge and memory of these lifters. I am starting to know some of these lifters well also, but that man has it down. Like I said, if you enjoy these videos, you should join. Not once have I ever regretted joining and paying the minuscule dues. Great job Gentlemen. Kudos. 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
I was so relieved when Giulia made that lift. You were correct, people all across the world was so happy to see her succeed. She was so heartbroken at the European's not long ago. She broke my heart at Bulgaria.
JUST WOW! I don’t even watch weight lifting and had never heard of Giulia until 5 minutes ago but I legit started TEARING UP in happiness when she made it 🥹🏋️♀️🎉
@@albanysherrerao.4596 Unfortunately, women on this sport still get recognized depending on the amount of instagram followers they have; Lydia Valentin, Mattie Rogers, Giulia Imperio... There are way better athletes than what we generally see on social media.
@@quandale2370I have to defend her, she clearly is cut out for international comps by the numbers she is capable of lifting, she just isnt a top level lifter, like Cambei or the chinese women.
