Ireland is amazing, and the history is deep! I've been 3x, from the mid 80's to 1994, each time thankfully crossing from the Republic to Northern Ireland the got easier. Full uniformed guards, barricades, passport checks the first time, the next, just a peek in your car, and the 3rd time straight through. So grateful Paul took a stand.
The Beatles were from Liverpool all had heavy Irish ancestry Liverpool is very much an Irish city. A city of immigrants scousers are mainly of Irish origin. Scouse not English we aren't called the 33rd county of Ireland for nothing. This song was also banned in England. Reched number 1 in Spain
yeah hey, did you hear John Lennon's song The Luck of The Irish. He made it the same year as Paul did on his 1972 album New York City. And the British government banned Paul's song from being played on the radio, I imagine they did the same with John's song. Get it Imagine?
i recommend you listen to Mary Hopkin( at one time was reported Mary and Paul were an item) she is the most wonderful singer. and was a most beautiful young women in her youth. Mary is mesmerising to watch and listen too!! Paul used to spend alot of time with her.
