I read your statement. People don't come to God .because of lack of understanding of who God is. John 4:24 says God is a spirit. The creator of all existence, that's why He's also the Father of all things.made the heaven and earth and everything in it including us humans .so he owns us .that's why He send Jeremiah to the potters house not to work but to observe what is done .Jeremiah concluded that the Potter (in creation is God(has full authority over he's clay .so the world is in God's hands.He can do with it as He pleases but instead for all our misconduct He still wants to keep us as He's. And not destroy us totally. Because He can. It's seen in the potters house. He puts us back on the wheel. By giving us another chance. Through Jesus Christ..now we cannot see God becos He is spirit.He Made a body to come see why is it that human are so stubborn..He (Jesus concluded people can change its just they choose not to .because of free will) God ultimately payed the fine for our misconduct..and give us the opportunity to believe in the Jesus who payed our fine for our misconduct. Jesus is the mystery of the whole story of truth.becos everything God did on earth He done it through the son(Jesus) so the we cannot have an excuse ..the scripture says ,he who denies the son denies the father.(mistery)the son is the image of the father.thats why he said .if you see me you seen the father.becos me and my father are one.the body and the spirit.just like us today our body dies without the spirit of life.as we are one with the spirit of life. And God is that life source remember He breathed into Adam.thats the same breath the multiplied through humanity. (Mistery). If we don't come to Him according to Acts 2:38. Than we're gonna be lost .therfore the door of salvation is open now don't let it close before you enter in through Jesus Christ .bcos He is that door..one must believe. Say we're all in the desert.no hope .and there comes.a man and say if you can make it over the dunes to the east side of the dessert there's water for our survival .you can ďo 2thing stay and die .and you can pursue the sand dune .what's it gonna be....God is Real we just have to believe. We're not gonna see a spirit when He come .but we gonna see Him as He is .Jesus in whom all the fullness of the God head dwells. Shalom

I REALLY wish this pastor had pointed out (or known) that when Jesus said, “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me,” He was quoting from Psalms 22. This was written as a plea for deliverance, not for Himself, but for all those for whom He was being crucified. Jesus was literally preaching to all who would hear Him say this, to remember the psalm and what it was about!
@dinopad10
@dinopad10 2 года назад
@lary Snw I have to disagree with that. You seem to be suggesting that Jesus was protected from death until that moment, which suggests that He was protected from fully suffering in His Passion. This would take away from the full sacrificial act, would it not? Psalm 22 is about deliverance from pain and hostility. Take a look in particular at the end of the Psalm: 28 For dominion belongs to the LORD,and he rules over the nations. 29 Yes, to him shall all the proud of the earth bow down;before him shall bow all who go down to the dust,and he who cannot keep himself alive. 30 Posterity shall serve him;men shall tell of the Lord to the coming generation, 31 and proclaim his deliverance to a people yet unborn,that he has wrought it. Jesus is preaching, not “recognizing” he’s about to die.

Father cannot look at sin. Brother became sin when he was perishing on the stauros and became accursed. Once Brother felt Father turn His gaze, he uttered the psalm. May have been partly to benefit the hearers but I doubt it.
@lhughes6656
@lhughes6656 Год назад
@@sholaadedeji225 this makes no sense when compared to the Word. It is a religious fallacy that has spread, that God "turned his gaze" from Jesus because he cannot look at sin. It has no basis in scripture. In fact it's the opposite. Genesis 6:5 "The Lord SAW how great the wickedness of the human race had become on Earth, and that every inclination of the thoughts of the human heart was evil only all the time." Isaiah 1:15-16 "When you spread out your hands, I will hide my eyes from you, even though you make many prayers, I will not listen; your hands are full of blood. Wash yourselves, make yourselves clean; remove the evil of your deeds from before my eyes; cease to do evil,..." And when you also take into account that He is omniscient and omnipresent, it is simply not possible for Him not to see or be able to look at sin. He sees everything. And also these scriptures Deuteronomy 31:8 "It is the Lord who goes before you. He will be with you; he will not leave you or forsake you..." And it says this again in Hebrews 13:5. Did God make an exception to forsake Jesus on the cross?? I truly don't think so. That would make him a liar and "God is not a man that he should lie" Numbers 23:19. I've yet to find any examples in scripture of God forsaking anyone or being unable to look at sin. If you know of any please share because I would truly like to know. Everything we've been taught or think is true must be held to account by the Word. The church has unfortunately written this fallacy into it's songs and hymns and has mislead a lot of people, I used to believe this myself but it never made sense to me. It is wrongfully stated as truth because they read only Matthew 27:26. We have a sad habit as a community of plucking out and isolating scriptures when the Bible needs to be studied line upon line and precept upon precept. Jesus was indeed quoting from the Psalms and we know this because he said it word for word. Whenever you see Jesus speak to God he addresses him as "My Father." Even when he references God, you often see him use "the Father" or "My Father." So why would he suddenly switch to such an impersonal term as "My God" and say it twice? I believe it is the ONLY time he even uses the term "My God" when speaking to God. He used it because he was quoting scripture. He knew his disciples and anyone who knew the scriptures would understand the reference. If you read Psalm 22 in it's entirety, the whole thing is basically about the crucifixion, being afflicted but God remaining faithful and trustworthy. Psalm 22:23-24 even says "You who fear the Lord, praise him! All you offspring of Jacob, glorify him, and stand in awe of him, all you offspring of Israel! For he has not despised or abhorred the affliction of the afflicted, and he has not hidden his face from him, but has heard, when he cried to him" Jesus quoted this Psalm as if to say the opposite, that he is afflicted but God is still worthy. That though he is surrounded on all sides by evil, God is still faithful so turn toward him. It's incredible when you see this and understand that even while dying, he was not thinking about himself in a moment of weakness, he was focused on all of us. Sorry for the long response but it's important that we as believers know and understand this. It's crucial to understanding what Jesus actually said on the cross and how God relates to him and us when it comes to sin.

If you were to start singing the first verse of a famous song to a group of people that know that song well the people would most likely join in and start singing along. It’s the same with this Psalm. Jewish people studied the Psalms as kids and as adults. They knew what followed the opening line of the opening sentence. Psalms 22 predicted the death of Jesus in detail. I totally agree that this would have been the most logical response to her question.

The man argues "If there's God, why is there so much chaos in the world?" If he really is an atheist, he should not be asking that. If he's really an atheist he should learn to accept the existence of chaos as things just happen. You cannot present a problem from a theistic point of view, and try to resolve it from an atheistic point of view.
@PGBurgess
@PGBurgess 8 лет назад
it's almost like a christian arguing 'if there is no god how do you explain... ' but then with a positive and falsifiable claim
@JazzAUPH
@JazzAUPH 8 лет назад
True Christians don't argue that way. There is no proof for God. Nobody can prove anything anyway. However, I must say that there are EVIDENCES one can point out of the existence of a higher being (or God).
@FrankDag
@FrankDag 8 лет назад
Nope, you're intuition's backwards. Reverse it. BECAUSE he is an atheist and there is no proof of a God, he accepts that chaos (which I think is a poor term) is random. He then puts the argument back on the one making the claim of God to refute that there is an ordered plan. But I agree that some of these are obvious strawmans set up so the religious side wins; if this debate weren't staged the atheists would win every time.
@JazzAUPH
@JazzAUPH 8 лет назад
Then he should never argue and ask "if there's God, why is there suffering?". The presence of suffering/chaos is not a reason/proof that God does not exist. The mere fact that he struggles with the existence of chaos/suffering is proof that he is not accepting it. If he's an atheist there's really no suffering. It is just his own interpretation of what is happening around the world. To some it is suffering, to others it just happens.
@FrankDag
@FrankDag 8 лет назад

The perfect answer to that young lady regarding "My God my God why have you forsaken" would have been to tell her Jesus said that to fulfill prophecy in Psalm 22 which is not only David speaking but prophetic to certain events that happened to Jesus on the cross. When Jesus said that the Pharisees knew what He was talking about and would have seen in front of them the prophecy being fulfilled. Psalm 22 starts with the question and ends with the answer that God has not forsaken. Psalm 22 starts with: My God, my God, why have you forsaken me? Why are you so far from saving me, so far from my cries of anguish? In verse 6 it says But I am a worm and not a man, scorned by everyone, despised by the people. Now that may be weird to hear "but I am a worm" but in Hebrew the word worm isnt used but Crimson or crimson worm, this crimson worm at the end of its like climbs up a wooden post or tree, it seals itself on said tree, it is covered by a protective shield. There it gives life to its young, the worm then releases a red secretion that covers its youngs where from then on the covering of its mother stays on the young. In 3days the mother dies and the young feed on the mother which gives then life. She will curl up into a heart shape, then turn into a white wooly waxy substance. That red color she secretes was used as dye, it was called the Royal Red Dye, and was used to dye the High priests cloak. This little creature represents Jesus's death. In verse 7 and 8 the Pharisees mocked Jesus like in Psalms " All who see me mock me; they hurl insults, shaking their heads. “He trusts in the Lord,” they say, “let the Lord rescue him. Let him deliver him, since he delights in him.” Verse 15, Jesus also became thirsty "My mouth is dried up like a potsherd, and my tongue sticks to the roof of my mouth; you lay me in the dust of death. Verse 16-18 is super clear . Dogs surround me, a pack of villains encircles me; they pierce my hands and my feet. All my bones are on display; people stare and gloat over me. They divide my clothes among them and cast lots for my garment. The last verse 31 They will proclaim his righteousness, declaring to a people yet unborn: He has done it! And what did Jesus say? "It is finished"

Hi Cliffe. When Jesus said “My God, why have you forsaken me?” He was intentionally quoting the first line of Psalm 22. The Psalms weren’t numbered then: Jews memorized them by reciting the first line - this Psalm shows that prophecy is being fulfilled at that moment - NOT that God had forsaken him. I like how we finally got to the common issue people have with God, “evil”, and it generally follows if God exists then why is there so much evil in the world and this usually stems from “If I was all-powerful then I would have fixed everything.” Secondly, it’s interesting how we say “I am a good person” giving ourselves the rewards for good actions but when evil happens then it’s “Gods fault” and not peoples fault.
@timothyn4699

indeed, people don't factor in free will to the mix. Imo true love can't exist without free will. And God is love and doesn't just want robot servants. If God were to destroy all evil and those who cause evil from the world in this very instance, guess what? That's not a good thing for us bc we'd all be swept away and taken out/destroyed in that sweep bc we all have hurt others, told lies, stolen, etc. However most people are deceived into thinking they are good because we think we are "relatively doing better than the person next to me". Or we haven't committed "big" sins in our eyes. God's standards are higher then ours. Lust is equivalent to committing adultery in your heart, being angry at a brother and calling him a name is enough to make you guilty. Hence the need for salvation and for us to work with and obey God to help transform us, to be born again or a new creation in God. To repent and turn our hearts and minds toward living in a way that pleases Him

We stop evil when we resist or escape temptation where we are concerned. We can face judgement only when we have accepted Christ. It's not what we do but what He did that makes our salvation possible. We just need to put our trust and faith in Christ and we receive that free gift. Just like the second thief at the crucifixion, all he did was tell the truth. He demonstrated he understood who Jesus is and asked to be included. The other thief tried to tempt Jesus to use His power to get the three of them down off their crosses. He was the voice of Satan.

@@dannylinc6247 I say to a degree that is true. Salvation is by grace through faith, through Jesus' sacrifice and not of our own righteousness, but at the same token faith without works is dead. I take that to mean, if you truly believe something, your actions should eventually align. Just believing in God isn't enough, even the demons belive, but they don't have salvation. The thief on the cross is not the best example since he also only had a day or hours left to live, it's different for us since we have our lives to live out. As I look into it more, it seems there is an emphasis on God asking us to bear good fruit, and that trees that don't will be cut out and tossed into the fire. That said, He is the vine, we are the branches, that fruit will come through us being connected in Him. We're called to be His ambassadors, represent Him, and follow/obey Him. There is also an emphasis on knowing God and not practicing lawlessness. And while our own good works can't alone save us, Jesus' sacrifice is needed to take the punishment of the sins for us, I see this scripture and it indicates there is also a level of living a godly life out through action. Matthew 25 The Judgment 31 “But when the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the angels with Him, then He will sit on His glorious throne. 32 And all the nations will be gathered before Him; and He will separate them from one another, just as the shepherd separates the sheep from the goats; 33 and He will put the sheep on His right, but the goats on the left. 34 “Then the King will say to those on His right, ‘Come, you who are blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. 35 For I was hungry, and you gave Me something to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me something to drink; I was a stranger, and you invited Me in; 36 naked, and you clothed Me; I was sick, and you visited Me; I was in prison, and you came to Me.’ 37 Then the righteous will answer Him, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry, and feed You, or thirsty, and give You something to drink? 38 And when did we see You as a stranger, and invite You in, or naked, and clothe You? 39 And when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’ 40 And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did it for one of the least of these brothers or sisters of Mine, you did it for Me.’ 41 “Then He will also say to those on His left, ‘Depart from Me, you accursed people, into the eternal fire which has been prepared for the devil and his angels; 42 for I was hungry, and you gave Me nothing to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me nothing to drink; 43 I was a stranger, and you did not invite Me in; naked, and you did not clothe Me; sick, and in prison, and you did not visit Me.’ 44 Then they themselves also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry, or thirsty, or as a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not [a]take care of You?’ 45 Then He will answer them, ‘Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did not do it for one of the least of these, you did not do it for Me, either.’ 46 These will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”

@@timothyn4699 Calvinism. I don't agree with John Calvin and you have him to thank for all this. Faith without works is dead. That's James, I believe. But St. Paul said we must die to the flesh and live by the Spirit. So with that. First we must understand it's not what we do, or anything we can do that makes heaven a possible life after. Still we keep asking, what must I do? And theologians say this and that. They are mere men and they search through 66-73 or so books by 40 or so authors. I ask, what did Jesus Christ say? My answers are in the new testament where men who knew Him asked, listened and wrote their testimony to the truth. We don't need to complicate it. The Lord fulfilled and simplified it. That's where I find myself after each time I get to these questions and listen to apologetics. They send you to examples where the person believed. Each time Christ said something similar. For each person He had a similar response. But depending on them and their personal need, He would emphasize what they knew to be true about themselves. For each of us to be told "well done, good and faithful servant", it's personal. And so must our approach be to relating to Christ. Prayer in your own way is your own way. Some people yearn so deeply for how they feel, the Spirit yearns for them. Others clap and say verses while focusing on their main idea with it all. Another plays an instrument or sings. Still another Lays quietly prostrate and keeps his dialogue in his heart. None of them have to make crafts out of egg cartons, or rearrange their possessions, or spend hours on the weekend shovelling the snow on the church property, or what have you. Each of us has gifts and he shares in a way that feels right to him and leaves him in peace. This is what I keep learning. So you know a situation where you feel moved to do good things for people or a person. Then by all means. It could be the Spirit working. It might not be. Discernment is a practiced gift just as is the rest of the gifts you can pray for. You may see it in another believer and compare it to your own experience. You can find scripture that strengthens what you learn and use it. Great. Give credit where credit is due. It's not my doing, I don't take any atta boys. It's God's Spirit working in people when it is , I think. Once my name's written in the Lambs book of life, that just means I invited the Lord in and I need to live by the Spirit. I'm not trying to become a famous good work doer. That's a trap. Jesus gave us enough when He said love thy God in all those ways and love thy neighbor like you love yourself. Funny how all the situations seem to fit His simplicity. Good luck to you and may you continue to read and study. I enjoyed reading what you wrote. Thanks, it helps. The scriptures meanings for our lives can also be realized because of our lives. Don't forget, sometimes you see the hungry or the one needing an invite and it can be the wrong spirit. Blue eyes and blue teeth, the song says. I'm saying some folks you should not embrace and you need to discern when you can leave them with the word for their answer. If you know after a time, that they need need need because of sin, and they take take take, then they have a party? You can discern that simply enough. What did Jesus do? He said thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God. Funny, that should be a good response for someone who asks "where did Jesus claim to be God?" In the bible. Or how did the writers know if they weren't there to hear Him in that instance? We know if we read. We can encourage the asker to read. There's a work you can do or I can do. Know the chapter and verse where they can find it and get them to open that book. Get them used to opening that book. It's a great thing to encourage someone to expose their mind and heart to scripture that's poignant. You just might drain the devil's works out Of them someday. Hopefully before it's too late for them. Calvin believed they were the goats and predestined to be cordwood for the fire. I say not.

@@dannylinc6247 when I think calvinism I think predestination talk, but yeah, I disagree with that teaching as well. I believe moreso free will is how life works, with a few key moments (like Jesus' second return) being set in stone. At least in that it will happen someday and that certain things will happen leading up to and during it. I know some traditional churches, almost seem afraid of talking about good works because they don't want to mix salvation with works. Which I think is silly. Jesus did a ton of good while He was on earth, and we are called to be His ambassadors and to become christ-like. So, good deeds should be encouraged, just have a firm understanding and belief it's not those that gets us into heaven, it's Jesus' sacrifice which actually has the power to cover over and take our punishment/consequences for the sin we committed. At the same time, if you believe free will exists and things aren't set in stone, then technically some kind of "effort" on your part was needed, at least to decide to belief and make Jesus your Lord and God and to give your life over to Him. And then if you're living for God and doing things like He asked of us, like to take up our cross (aka die to our selves and our own desires) and follow Him, that's also going to take some kind of effort on our parts. We can trust Him with the results, but He still calls us to obey. I think that's pretty much the core, we just have to obey. It doesn't matter if we preach and no one is saved, the question is did we preach when He asked us to. There is an element of doing your work with excellence, but the minimum I'd say is that at least trying to obey even if/when we slip and fall due to us being work in progresses. But back to salvation, I believe most churches are in error if they preach a "hyper-grace", or a talk that it's basically say the sinner's prayer and then you're good. Perhaps in some cases, like those who are at death's door, but for the rest of us with years left to live, I doubt we can 'say magic words' and then live contradictory for the remainder of our lives. Some emphasize sincerity, which I think is important for it to be a true belief/proclamation, but perhaps it's just the part thereafter, the making of disciples and christian maturity that many get wrong. Again, perhaps in some cases you may be like those who are still saved/snatched from a fire, in other cases. there is scripture that says if you go on willfully sinning, don't expect salvation but judgment. I would say God can tell if you're honestly trying to course correct and just have trouble, vs blatantly living in sin on the inside and, like the pharisees, just put on a good outward appearance. Ultimately, idk, God knows, but it's good to be aware and to pray about it. If eternal salvation is on the line, I'd say it warrants much further investigation than other matters. A big part of salvation is supposed to be repentance, which is the turning away (from sin and evil) and the turning to something else, in this case, to God and good deeds. Hebrews 10 26For if we go on sinning willfully after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, 27but a terrifying expectation of judgment and THE FURY OF A FIRE WHICH WILL CONSUME THE ADVERSARIES. 28Anyone who has ignored the Law of Moses is put to death without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. 29How much more severe punishment do you think he will deserve who has trampled underfoot the Son of God, and has regarded as unclean the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified, and has insulted the Spirit of grace? 30For we know Him who said, “VENGEANCE IS MINE, I WILL REPAY.” And again, “THE LORD WILL JUDGE HIS PEOPLE.” 31It is a terrifying thing to fall into the hands of the living God. And the Matthew scripture I gave prior Jesus saying the words, which in my view means it has a lot more weight Another one that Jesus Himself said: Matthew 7 21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter. 22 Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many [s]miracles?’ 23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; leave Me, you who practice lawlessness.’ So as I mention, there's an element of knowing God and not practicing lawlessness that pertains to salvation. And based on my previous scripture there also looks to be an element of doing good works that is important to salvation as well that I think ought to be emphasized or at least mentioned compared to what many people may teach or how they present salvation. Perhaps it comes down to true belief. If you really believe in God, then you will follow Him and do what He says. The more I look at it the more important it seems, and I see a lot of scripture where Jesus talks of bearing good fruit. Again, not in and of our own strength, but co-laboring with God who needs to be the vine/source. It's a bit tricky since you can be an unbeliever and still do good works. It makes me wonder if the fruit of God shouldn't be a lot more distinguishable, and if so, how much the body of Christ has really accessed it. Some of it may just be that we can't see it in the physical, since a lot of it pertains to matters of the heart. Anyone can give or help someone else, but whether that giving was truly done to help or if it was done with an ulterior motive, like to gain fame or Likes, is a matter of the heart. I agree that everyone should read the Bible for themselves and continue to grow and learn more. If God impresses something on your heart, I agree, you should do it (after prayer and determining inasmuch as you can that it is Him). It's true that there are the demons and devil are also spirit, so just bc you have a spiritual encounter it does not offhand mean it was God. It could also be our own imagination/thoughts at times as well. That's all part of the process of learning to discern what is of God, what is of ourselves, and what is the devil trying to trick or deceive us. The bible is described as a light unto our path. I think all teaching should be weighed and compared with what scripture says.

Back in Old Testament times there were no divisions in the Psalms, Jesus said that on the cross to basically tell the Jews in the crowd to remember that Psalm. It was literal prophecy in action, being fulfilled at that exact moment. That he was the messiah and this was always going to happen, MEANT to happen. When he uttered those words, “why have thou forsaken me” he was directing his followers in the crowd to Psalm 22, which like I said back then there was no 22, that was how you referred to that part, like the title of a song basically instead of the number where it was later divided to be able to turn to. They knew what he was referring to. They all had the revelation after that moment.

America has also has incidences of religious wars in 1844 between Protestants and Catholics over the use of public schools promoting one religion as opposed to some other. It’s one of the things that brought about the educational philosophy that public schools should only instruct students in “secular” knowledge. Knowledge students would need to become productive members of society. Besides, public schools are for everyone and religious education was the responsibility of parents. My niece back in the 1980s was sent to a private school and her parents had to pay tuition etc out of pocket. But starting in the 1990s with the rise of the evangelical Congress that’s when all the school voucher programs started. And rulings on the part of the Supreme Court completely reinterpreted the meaning of “public use revenue” and decided that public really meant that individuals could take a cut out of tax revenue and apply it to their individual desires including using public money for religious education. Which has had detrimental effects upon the funding for “public” schools.

Your belief is based on no proof, but an interpretation (which again the beginnings being unobervable and built upon assumptions that everything is running the same as it always has which shows proof and interpretation of evidence are not the same thing). Your belief in such has you hoping to be substantiated momentarily until a new interpretation comes about that you believe is the best explanation without being able to directly see and follow blindly like sheep.3&4.) Such a belief of blind faith shows to be a kind of religion since you probably only accept certain "scientists" interpretations of the evidence while rejecting others whose views don't line up with yours. So your thoughts on faith are incorrect. You do possess faith. Your faith is ever changing while you mock Christians who believe in God's creative hand and not your current theory which will probably change at some point in the future of which you even admit. The "Where does Jesus say he's God?" Is a trick-question that Muslims usually ask. Muslims ask this question because in the Quran it says that on the last day Allah will ask Jesus if He claimed to be God, and Jesus will deny having ever said it. Therefor Muslims ask Christians to provide an example of Jesus specifically and literally saying "I am God", which technically cannot be done. Even though you can quote multiple texts which show Jesus claiming divine nature, the Muslim will always try to explain them away while demanding specific and literal words. When A Christian tries and fails to answer the trick-question, it vindicates the Muslim's belief in what the Quran says about Jesus, but it's a dishonest question to ask in the first place.

Very true. People. Unbelievers do nothing but simply try to justify their disbelief at any means possible. That's what the bible calls the deceitfulness of sin in Hebrews 3:13.

I once had questions about Islam/Mormonism/etc… other religions that many say worship the same God. So I’ve been reading it all! Quran/Hadith then The Book of Mormon/Pearl of Great Price/D&C. I also once read som of the Hindu Vedas but that is besides the point. IT IS 100% CLEAR TO ME that no other religion besides Christianity believes in God. Whoever these other religions are calling “god” is someone that I DO NOT KNOW. Read it for yourself, don’t just listen to what someone says on the internet 100% of the time.

Sir I like what you do, and hope and pray that you keep doing that. I have one comment for you< this young lady who asked why did Jesus cry oh LORD why have you forsaken me? this is NOT a cry but according to the Jews tradition (also in all ancient Churches) they recite the first sentence of the prayer or the Psalm, for the people to continue. If you look at Psalm 22 that was written about one thousand years before Christ when sentencing people death by the cross was not in practice, the Psalm says all the events of the crucifixion in remarkable details, and that what LORD Jesus was referring to.

I love Cliffe, and I want to assume he knows a better answer when the girl asked the question like, "If Jesus is God, then why would be cry out "Father, why have you forsaken me" on the cross? I really wish those who preached the gospel would answer how Jesus was quoting psalms 22, and how it was a prophesy how the messiah would die. How the pharisees and scribes would have memorized it, and how they knew exactly what Jesus was proclaiming to be - GOD.

Jesus is clearly the Son of God. When He was on the cross, He cried out to God the Father asking him to take the burden away if it was His will -- He clearly wasn't talking to Himself, He was talking to his Father, who sits on the throne, where Jesus Himself, said He would be sitting at God the Father's RIGHT Hand. This isn't confusing, it's actually beautiful. God sent his Son do show humans the way. He didn't ask for worship - He asked us all to FOLLOW Him and pointed us to the Almighty. Having said all that, I enjoy Cliff's work.

God's Love and Justice Many times in Scripture, we see God's justice poured out on the people. It often seems so severe and unloving. God judged Adam and Eve (Genesis 3), the world of Noah's day (Genesis 6-8), Sodom and Gomorrah (Genesis 18-19), and the Egyptians with the 10 plagues (Exodus 7-12). How could God have sent judgment on these people and still be considered loving, merciful, gracious, and forgiving? How can God’s love and justice work together? We know that God's attributes works in harmony with each other. The ideal that justice and love conflict, is the result of the attributes being defined in isolation from one another. In other words, in order to understand justice, we need to understand God's love. In order to understand His love, we need to understand His justice. So what is Justice? - :the quality of being just, impartial, or fair., : the principle or ideal of just dealing or right action, : righteousness, : conformity to truth, fact, or reason. So justice or fairness must be base on a code of morality or laws that can be interpret as truth. In other words- justice is fairness with truth. Isa 30:18- for Jehovah is a God of justice Isa 61:8 - For I, Jehovah, love justice, Lk 11:42 - But woe unto you Pharisees! for ye tithe mint and rue and every herb, and pass over justice and the love of God: So what is judgement? -It is a decision - a vertic - a ruling or an opinion base on justice / fairness with truth. What consitute fair or unfair? Truth- which is God's laws and commands, or His code of morality which is conformity to ideals of right human conducts. Taken what we know so far that truth or God's commands plays a part in Justice, Than we need to say that obedience plays a roll from the human side of love/justice. This is why we can not correlate the justice and love conflict of God. We can not understand how God can be love and have justice on his people. Since we are not obediant to God, we fail to understand this, we are blinded with our own sins to see this. Obedience to the Lord is paramount to having a relationship with Him. Now lets go to the love side of the justice/love attributes. Romans 13:10 - Love does no wrong to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfilling of the law. You see here that love through obedience is the fulfillment of the law. Matthew 22:37-40 - You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets So what is love? - The unselfish, loyal, well meaning and kindly concerns for the good of others: or as 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 has it - Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love- is a commitment, so that obedience does play a part in love. There is a worldly ideology of free love. The question is, would you mind if your spouse would spend the night with other partners. Is that love? No, love that the Lord has for us is a Holy Love, a set of part or separated love from the world and He expects us to use that as the standard. How do we apply this love to our Lord? Deuteronomy 11:1 "Love and Obey the Lord. Love the Lord your God and keep his requirements, his decrees, his laws and his commands always." John 14:15 “If you love me, keep my commands." -SO- How do we apply this love to our neighbor? Leviticus 19:9-18 When you reap the harvest of your land, you shall not reap your field right up to its edge, neither shall you gather the gleanings after your harvest. And you shall not strip your vineyard bare, neither shall you gather the fallen grapes of your vineyard. You shall leave them for the poor and for the homeless: I am the Lord your God. You shall not steal; you shall not deal falsely; you shall not lie to one another. You shall not swear by my name falsely, and so profane the name of your God: I am the Lord. You shall not oppress your neighbor or rob him. The wages of a hired worker shall not remain with you all night until the morning. You shall not curse the deaf or put a stumbling block before the blind, but you shall fear your God: I am the Lord. You shall do no injustice in court. You shall not be partial to the poor or defer to the great, but in righteousness shall you judge your neighbor. You shall not go around as a slanderer among your people, and you shall not stand up against the life of your neighbor: I am the Lord. You shall not hate your brother in your heart, but you shall reason frankly with your neighbor, lest you become subject to sin because of him. You shall not take vengeance or bear a grudge against the sons of your own people, but you shall love your neighbor as yourself: I am the Lord. So other words treat your neihbor with fairness (with justice) as you want to be treated. Love and justice have worked together in God's dealing with the human race. God's justice requires that there be payment of the penalty for sin. God's love, however, desires humans to be restored to fellowship with him. The offer of Jesus Christ as the atonement for sin means that both the justice and the love of God have been maintained

hm.. i think the girl who was stuck on the idea of "son of God" i think she is stuck on the words as we normally think of relationship like a father who is the biological father to the son. the son of God is more of a title that describes Jesus' role in the trinity in relation to the Father. the Jews understood this title as meaning God incarnate, there was no misunderstanding. i think she needed more information on this concept

God bless brother Cliffe 🙏 💜 It seems like he had an “off day”. I feel like he left a lot on the table in these conversations. He really let the first older “fidgety” guy off the hook. With the next 2 speakers, he could have drilled down into these topics further to shed light on them but he chose to let the hanging curveballs go by as opposed to crushing them out of the park.

What a wicked generation we live in! And it's only going to get worse! The great falling away has happened. We're about to experience persecution as Christians like never before here in the UK, there in the US and the world. God is love and that's the most terrifying thing for the unforgiven as love must hate evil and everybody who ever was, is and will be were, are and will be evil!!! God's written his law on our hearts via the conscience so nobody has any excuse for sin, whether they've heard of Jesus or not! Conscience means with knowledge, of what? what's evil. The 10 commandments are like a mirror to show how evil we are and in desperate need of forgiveness. They can all be summed up by love. If you love someone you wouldn't steal off, lie to, hate (which God sees as murder in the heart), cheat on them etc etc. And we have no excuse as our conscience convicts us via God's commandments...you lie, steal, murder, cheat etc you feel bad! The more you do it, the easier it gets and the harder your heart grows. That's why you deserve hell as we're all liars, if we've ever hated, we're murderers in God's eyes. Most people say they don't believe in God, yet when for example banging a thumb with a hammer instead of saying sh**, fu** etc these unbelievers say the Holy name of Jesus Christ in replacement of a filth word..so don't think blasphemy isn't serious. God in Christ was tortured beyond belief and died on that cross in your place ,because he is absolute love even though you've used his name in a filthy words place! yet the fool rejects the most undeserving, incredible, beautifully loving offer that all who believe and put their faith in Christ who they've spent their life mocking, hating and never thanking for anything good will spend eternity in heaven which is so perfectly unexplainable and how undeserving! But the wicked fool who rejects such an undeserved, unexplainable by words gift of love will justly spend an eternity in torment beyond words. Repent and put your faith in Christ. Ask him to make himself so personally real to you that you cannot deny him. You need a new heart, your hardened conscience renewed by receiving God's Holy Spirit. You think I enjoy saying these things, getting mocked and laughed at all the time? I say these things firstly because I know God and the terror of the Lord who is love and he's seen every thought and deed in my and everyone's life, so I obey him by telling others. But he's also given me peace, joy and love that cannot be compared to anything or anyone on this wicked world. I also love people and am so terribly concerned for your souls enough to take all the abuse, beatings, mockings and even 3 months of homelessness in the past to plead with them with tears and weeping because I KNOW AND NOT JUST BELIEVE God and where you're heading if you don't repent of your unbelief. Cry out to Jesus while you still can or every little thing you've ever thought or done will be exposed to God, his holy angels and absolutely everyone and you'll be thrust into everlasting torment where you deserve to be if you neglect such a precious gift. Fear tactics? Certainly not, but you should be terribly afraid because you know all those dirty little secrets you've done and I promise everyone else will know them the day your soul leaves your body and no longer have anywhere to hide, that's why you need the blood of Christ via the Holy Spirit to wash them away and be forgiven. May Jesus bless you and your loved ones and open the eyes of your heart to the truth if he hasn't already.
