Great video. I’ve filmed and flew over that station so they should be educated. That SGT should be made to come out and apologise but what does he do, hides away after being told it’s lawful. Tut tut tut SGT 😫
I've just been watching Focus Pocus video. "Q and A Focus Pocus" It appears that some Police are going down this route for demanding drone user identity. Interesting to hear your views?
@@marinka424 While this is true arrogant police are often arrogant and rude with the people they claim to serve, of course that hasn't been the reality of policing in the UK for many years but that's besides the point.
That drone officer was so friendly and informative and still did his job so well. Congratulations to him for saving the day. It could’ve gone so badly wrong, especially when you have a bad attitude.
That drone Officer is someone that you can respect. As he said, he's a professional and can be reasonable to you if you're reasonable with him....respect.
Sargeant Roberts shows how the police believe their rights are more important than the public’s. Private vehicles belonging to officers are no more entitled to protection from photography than anyone else. We need to write to the officer in charge of Burton police to ask for this out of control officer to be disciplined and retrained. An excellent example of why officers with 25 years service need to be assessed psychologically.
Actually, the sergeant shows how he believes that imaginary laws he makes up in his own head are more important that the public's rights. Small wonder he's a sergeant after 27 years.
He need training to how to approach a member of the public.. I know it a police station . But no need to come in full force .. can’t believe he than over 20 years in the forces.. and making his own rules up .. .. ..
@@stevejordan3831 Worse than that he will train officers with those rubbish beliefs and incorrect info on the laws and the reason for that is bad training and an officer that has never been held accountable for his actions
To the younger cop.... You're a breath of fresh air to the force. Never let the old , corrupt ones put you off your course. You handled yourself perfectly
As soon as they refuse to comment on a corrupt officers actions they loose all credibility. This is why the good ones are just as bad. They seriously need to start holding their colleagues accountable
27 years in the force, what a tool...And then you listen to the 2 officers at the end, gentlemen with respect and respect given, what a pleasure knowing you can have a decent open conversation.
The Sarge was breaking the law, by interfering with a pilot whilst in flight, his attitude was shite, he definitely needs to be retrained, what a pillock! seizing the drone, he sounds like the feelings police.
You do not have to be looking at the drone 100% of the time, you are allowed to look at the screen and as long as the drone is visible you are allowed to look at the screen lol 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
The Sargent is a liability to the force and public. Making unlawful demands under the colour of the law is disgusting. This is why the Police are not trusted or respected. Great Video DJE.
The great thing is that all the other copse now have another reason to call him a prick behind his back. Twenty odd years in the force, he hasn't learned much.
The sergeant was angry because he got caught on camera coming into work early and using the public funds to clean his own car 😂😂 He was parked in the cleaning bay and said it was his own vehicle
The drone officer was so informative. I learned a lot and was incredibly impressed by his attitude and personal skills. The younger officer was so patient, and clearly will be an asset to the force and the public in due course. Send the video to their superiors so they can be commended officially. Thanks for posting this
That drone officer was golden, at no point was it about his ego it was about informing others about doing whats safe to keep others safe, big respect big love,
You need to put in a complaint if you haven’t already , against that rude aggressive roberts. He made threats as he walked off. Despicable, hopefully drone cop will retrain Roberts
PC Sean was absolutely fantastic. Professional, friendly & very informative. Britain needs more police like this and the younger PC was also very friendly 👍🏼
The drone officer and the new guy were brilliant in my eyes, very civil and the drone officer was very informative. Quality interactions, one willing to learn, one willing to teach. Brilliant.
Sarge shouldn’t really interfere with a pilot until the craft has landed. He was wrong on all levels. Road cop was a proper fella. Knew his stuff & didn’t try to be billy big bollocks. I have my GVC & A2CofC, just waiting for the day 1 of these attitude sarge’s come trying it on with me…
@@jaygriff6985 I wish you all the best with your flights mate. I am between jobs the now but when Im working again i'll be buying a drone. I love aerial footage.
That Sergeant represents everything that’s wrong with the police terrible approach barking orders. Maybe after 27 years he is overdue a refresher course in how to speak to the public
I thought I would never say this!! What a well informed and helpful officer. The younger officer was good to, as he listened to the conversation and will now be much more informed of the law on drones.
Dude that Sargent was well angry but that drone officer was well nice as a drone pilot my self I’ve never heard of the weather app he was talking about now I have got it down loaded to use so big thanks for that keep up the good work you never know what you will learn.
The only profession I know where the puiblic are held to a higher standard than the 'professionals' Ignorance of the law is only a defence is you are police
Drone Cop was great 😉👍🏽 thats how you deal with the public … Very friendly and professional …. Did his job and made sure DJ knew the laws and rules for safety … He was also very informative .. Great interaction 👍🏽
A complaint needs to be submitted about that sergeant on the grounds of authority, respect and courtesy, and orders and instructions. Terrible attitude to the public.
Now we are getting somewhere! That young officer knew his Sargent was wrong and did the right thing by not blindly following his instructions. Well done!
What's the difference between an aeroplane, helicopters or drones flying over the site , we'll the drone is videoing the layout of the site and could be used for nefarious reasons.
Great video. That young cop was totally embarrassed by the behaviour of that clueless Sgt. The Sgt needs to be at least retrained or retire. Shocking behaviour.
Top video, the drone cop and the young guy willing to learn, brilliant, a lot of helpful drone info from him too which you were obviously willing to hear.
What an arsehole that sergeant was 27.5 years bullying the public with no clue of the laws he was spouting, the chief constable needs to have a serious conversation with him.
THE CHIEF NEEDS TO HAVE A VERY SERIOUS INTENSE CONVERSATION WITH HIS CHIEF,,,,,,,, THOSE SAT AT THE TOP ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL THE FILTH , THAT TRICKLE DOWN EFFECT .
Shorty is why the general public hate the police, the constables are helping to change that. I’m surprised that it’s the young cops that are getting it right 👍👍
8:40 wow, that sergeant completely embarrassed himself there, completely out of his depth and just plane wrong but 9:25 shows he doesn't care. Big respect to the drone officer at 26:47 who was spot on in both his knowledge and his approach.
He is a menace and public safety is at risk with a hot head like that but how is cleaning his car with police equipment theft. What did he steal exactly?
@@change2023now Cleaning chemicals( pricey stuff car shampoo water (no its not free we all have to pay a water bill) Electricity/diesel to run the jet wash depending on the type of jet wash. These items are paid for by tax payers and will be explicitly for use on police equipment only I can assure you that if a member of the public tried to use this equipment they would get done rotten for missuse of police equipment theft of electricity/diesel, water and cleaning chemicals Or he could have just been telling lies and it is a police car but we all know police would never do such a dishonest and despicable thing being that there all fine upstanding members of our community and not murderers rapists and thieves
The sergeant was an absolute dinosaur. Dreadful attitude, he would have seized everything and had a legitimate legal suit against him, just through his lack of knowledge and ego. Time for him to retire I think, very dangerous.
It’s amazing how a young copper who hasn’t been in the job very long knows more about the law than Sergeant Bossy Arse, and is streets ahead in his approach to the public.
@@anthonyo.6084 You're obviously a critique of others work without actually putting in the risk of doing it yourself, which equates to nothing more than a spectator having zero credibility.
It's wonderful to see the spectrum of the police - ranging from the polite, happy and helpful - to the ignorant, selfish and power hungry. Nice Video DJ !
Appalling bit of entitled bullying by that sgt. He is just making it up and ordering you about - with no right. His first sentence says it all (private property get the Drone down now he's going to take your details and run you through all right you can't be flying it over police property.) Just ordering you about with threats outside the law.
You just know that the clown would and probably has been violent when no camera is filming, I bet hes on WhatsApp discussing the laws hes broken that week
Brilliant engagement towards the end with them two officers mind, its refreshing to see officers just talking normally and treating you like a human being rather than some sort of convict like the Sargeant was portraying.
If you are flying your own drone then it is an offence not to give your details to the police when required. If you fail to do so then you can be arrested and there is a fine of up to £500
@@NickLea You may have read this 'required' from some of the documentation that came out in last year or so and it was discussed on Geeksvana but you have left out several other statements and paragraphs in that doc like flying competency etc... So it's not as straight forward as what you are making out.
@@Feverstockphoto You are mistaken. It is very straightforward indeed. "Competency" isn't mentioned in most of the relevant parts of the legislation, the Air Traffic Management and Unmanned Aircraft Act 2021. If you read Schedule 9 you will see that it deals with a lot of different requirements. Section 2 deals with the powers of a police officer when speaking with the pilot of a drone. What that Section basically says is that if a person is flying a drone that requires an Operator ID then it is an offence if they do not give details of the person who is the Operator to the police when requested. Normally, people fly their own drones so, in that situation they are the Operator and so are required to provide their own details. If you are flying somebody else's drone then they remain the Operator and you must give the police the details of the Operator or whoever else let you fly their drone. This is the wording of Schedule 9, Section 2:- Provision by remote pilots of information about UAS operators 2(1)A constable may exercise the power conferred by this paragraph in relation to a person (P) if the constable- (a)has reasonable grounds for believing that- (i)a flight by an unmanned aircraft is taking place or has taken place, and (ii)P is or was the remote pilot of the unmanned aircraft, and (b)has reasonable grounds for suspecting that a relevant registration requirement is or was applicable as respects the UAS operator for the unmanned aircraft and the flight. (2)The constable may require P to provide such information as the constable considers reasonable as to the identity of- (a)the person or persons who are or were the UAS operator for the flight, or (b)the person or persons who made the unmanned aircraft available for use by P. (3)In this paragraph “relevant registration requirement” means a requirement imposed by, or referred to in, any of the following provisions of the ANO 2016- (a)article 265A(5)(a) (open category: registration of UAS operator); (b)article 265A(5)(b) (open category: display of UAS operator's registration number); (c)article 265A(6)(a) (specific category: registration of UAS operator); (d)article 265A(6)(b) (specific category: display of UAS operator's registration number); (e)article 265A(7)(a) (specific category: registration of UAS operator); (f)article 265A(7)(b) (specific category: display of UAS operator's registration number); (g)article 265A(9)(a) (specific category: registration of UAS operator); (h)article 265A(9)(b) (specific category: display of UAS operator's registration number); (i)article 265E(1)(a) (registration of tethered small unmanned aircraft of 250g or more); (j)article 265E(1)(b) (display of registration number of tethered small unmanned aircraft of 250g or more). (4)P is guilty of an offence if- (a)P fails to comply with a requirement imposed by a constable under this paragraph to provide, as respects a flight by an unmanned aircraft, information as to the identity of a person, (b)P is or was the remote pilot of the unmanned aircraft for the flight, (c)the relevant registration requirement which the constable had reasonable grounds for suspecting is or was applicable as respects the UAS operator for the unmanned aircraft and the flight is or was so applicable, and (d)at the time when the constable imposed the requirement, P could have provided information of the kind which the constable required P to provide. (5)A person who is guilty of an offence under this paragraph is liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding level 2 on the standard scale. (6)Paragraph 10 includes a defence to the offence under this paragraph.
The original hostile sergeants attitude was scary, and fills me with horror that he may be teaching other police officers how to act, however all the other officers appear to be fine outstanding examples of how to interact with the public.
“I do a covert role” Whilst simultaneously standing in front of your camera, telling you he has a covert role” Also made me laugh “27 and a half years” I thought people stopped counting years in fractions when they reached 9 and three quarters in age hahaha The drone officer and the officer that stayed throughout the chat were the only redeeming factor. Notice how Robert’s was gonna pass the buck and make the other officers commit to getting your info though. Putting them at risk of using the wrong laws on his say so. Luckily the officer who stayed around was doing his own due diligence in the background.. what a great officer, willing to learn.
Big up to the Drone PC and the young PC , excellent interaction you two really shone . Top Audit DJ E . It's great to have both extremes of professionalism contained in one viddy .
The sergeant let his ignorance shine bright on this video, the drone officer and the young officer were absolutely perfect 👌, we’ve all learned something from this drone officer
That was a really good audit video, what a contrast of good and bad policing, Clearly embarrassed his younger colleagues, I bet they loathe him at work but can’t get rid of him… Drone officer and the two younger PC’s were brilliant though, polite friendly, Generally excellent.
PC 4783 was excellent. The information he gave was very helpful to drone users. I can see RU-vidrs that use drones using the app and anemometer that he suggested. The other two PC's were good for not carrying unlawful orders and even challenged it by asking to get clarification. Other Police could learn a lot from this video. 👍 Great video 😀.
