Elise, I am a 71-year-old fan and an avid hand stitcher for most of my life. I have had people say to me many times " Why do you still stitch? They are just going to end up in the 2nd hand stores". I just answer that it is fine, and I hope they bring someone joy. A few years ago, I stumbled across your channel and there you were bringing home hand sewn pillows, and you made me smile. Today it is other pieces that someone stitched in another country bringing you joy. Keep thrifting young lady and bring home our treasures. We thank you.
Dear Elise🌺: I'm Laura and I would like to write you a few words. I will use some translator since I haven't spoken English in years and maybe my English is not perfect (I'm from Spain). I look forward to your videos because it relaxes me to see so much sensitivity and beauty in the images, as well as sincerity about your life. I don't know how some people are so intransigent (saying they do it to protect you) about your love life. I, as a 30-year-old woman, will tell you to try to ignore them and that it is great that you are excited again, it shows in your videos and on your face that you are excited and happy. Go ahead, it's your life and you only enjoy living it. Fall in love as many times as you need. Greetings and a big hug from Spain. ❤😊
@@EliseBuch I'm glad you liked the message and thank you very much for answering, it made me excited hehe ☺️ Now I will continue studying because tomorrow I have one of the opposition exams (I am competing to be a Judge) that will determine my future job. Wish me luck 🍀🤞🏽☺️
I'm sorry to hear about your boyfriend's loss. Times like these are some of the hardest life throws at us, but I'm sure you are a great comfort to each other. And thank you for all the time and effort you put into the videos you share. They are always wonderful and greatly appreciated. Please keep the brocade and velvet jacket, it is so you!
Here is a gardening suggestion since you have a lot of cardboard. Cut it around the plants you want to keep, like your roses, then add mulch on top. The cardboard will eventually break down into your soil but it will stop any unwanted plants from growing. I have a front yard with a slope, so I do put big rocks to keep the cardboard from moving but my back yard, I just lay the cardboard flat, with a little over lapping. I just check it every year to ser if I need to put more down. Its cheap free and easy to use. Hope this helps.
Great tip. I use cardboard to create new garden beds in the fall….cardboard on top of grass top with compost and in the spring I have a new garden to plant.
Hi Elise. I love your videos and I dare say this was one of my favorites. The music, the clothes, the nature, everything was magical in this video. Be well Elise ❤😊❤😊
Thank you again, Elise, for showing us the beautiful areas around where you live. Denmark is just beautiful and charming. I hope all goes well with the funeral. Sorry for your and your boyfriend’s loss. Take care of yourself. 💕💕
Dear Elise, I wanted to express how impressed I am with the stunning hand-embroidered pieces in your thrift stores. It brings me such joy to see them, especially since I can rarely find anything like that in my area. This video was a beautiful way to end my week. On a personal note, my partner is scheduled to have a transplant next week due to his cancer. While I’m feeling scared, I’m doing my best to stay strong for him. I’m also sorry to hear about your boyfriend’s loss. Thank you for sharing this lovely video.
Everything you bought looks so beautiful on you. From your hair to makeup to outfits- just magazine worthy! 🥰 Please accept my condolences on your boyfriend’s recent loss. Don’t worry about posting- we will wait. Comforting him is far more important at this time. ❤️
I’m sorry for your boyfriend’s loss. And for you too. Being up close and personal with death is something that changes us in a way that unfolds over time. Be gentle with yourself. ❤ Great vlog this week. Not every vlog needs to be a huge production, I think most of us enjoy just seeing your day to day happenings. I’m here for it.
Please pass along my deepest condolences to your sweetheart and his family. And as far as next week's vlog is concerned (or any week's vlog for that matter), just let it be what it is. It's your honesty and authenticity that keeps us coming back. Always be you.💖
Lovely, as usual. You're looking great - being loved shows. Wish we could see your boyfriend. Love your thrifting videos, your garden, views of Denmark, your shop, and your home. You're always a pleasure to listen to and watch. I'm sorry you had to experience the loss you did. Soothing thoughts to you and him.
@5:22 My grandma used to have embroidery just like those hanging up in her living room, they were navy blue and white. I loved those so much, and had forgotten about them until now. Thank you so much for bringing back such a lovely and endearing memory! I wish I knew the exact name for those pattern designs.
I took love stitching and you finding stitching pieces to bring home warms my heart....it's a peace and contentment in stitching I love the most. Your home esp how you are decorating is just beautiful. Love your videos. Always look forward to new video.
I loved that painting that had such great texture, I love tureens and feel it’s sad they are not used too often anymore. They were great when families sat at the table at dinner times . I still our foods in pretty bowls and platters. I have a collection of birds too. I love the victory coat on you, the way you style your clothes always makes anything you put on look amazing. The clothes you found are beautiful. That scarf was gorgeous and even if not always used as intended would look great as a table topper over a a plain tablecloth too. It’s very eye catching. Well today is the first day that it feels like Autumn. A cold wind but clear skies . The scenic drive was lovely. Loved your painting in your pink frame . Loss of a family member or friend is hard and brings to surface a lot of emotions. I loss my mum last week in Feb this year and grief is emotional. Sending you love and light. Thank you for being so open and honest . ❤❤❤ condolences to your boyfriend and family too. 🙏🙏🙏✨🤗😘
I too am experiencing great loss this week. I lost my sister and sister in law this week to cancer. It's hard to process. As always enjoyed your video; it's always a nice escape to follow you. Take care and God Bless Elise.
My most sincere condolences to you and your family. Remember to give yourself grace. If you feel like crying... cry, if you feel like screaming..... scream. If you remember that one silly thing she always did to make you laugh... don't forget to laugh. I hope you find some comfort knowing your sisters are no longer suffering. My prayers are with you.
Hello Elise, I want to comment on individual things in your video but when all is said the entire video was just absolutely gorgeous. I loved it all, from beginning to end. Your new video is the first thing I think of on Fridays that I look forward to. Take care 🌹
I loved this video, I love it when you go thrifting, I love seeing your haul of goodies, I also love your garden segments. so sorry you had sadness this week. take care.
Losing a loved one is so hard.❤ I have lost so many people in my life, I have lost count. My heart goes out to both of you! That coat was amazing! I should send you some of my vintage clothes, I have clothes going back to the 70's. 3 closets and 4 dressers full!😂
My sympathies to your boyfriend and to you. Losing someone is not easy. Great video this week, Elise! Thank you so much for all the time and energy you put into creating these wonders for us. I loved the Victorian Frock coat with the pants--so stylish. I loved all the things you bought thrifting and cannot wait to see what's inside the box. Have a wonderful weekend. 💖💖💖💖
Lovely video Elise, it put me in a good mood! Thank you! I liked style #1, although they all looked good. I loved all your wonderful thrift store finds as well. Hope you are having a wonderful weekend!
Beautiful video Elise. Your garden is precious. The footage of your forest walk is breathtaking. Your garden is precious. Many thanks for a chilled visit.
Watching someone take their last breath Elise is something that truly feels like it is a moment when the whole world stands still. We do continue on and life continues on yet life is forever changed as are we. Take that moment as you say to slow down even if for only a moment. You propel forward at your pace and your spirit is so beautiful. My deepest thoughts to both you , your boyfriend and all those who have felt this loss. God bless you .
Hello from South Carolina in the US. I find your videos to be a little bit of serenity in my hectic day - especially now while we are dealing with the aftermath of Hurricane Helene in my area. Thank you for all that you do. I am sorry for your boyfriend's loss & I am sending healing vibes your way. Have a wonderful day!
I loved the dress over the dress! Didn't think I would but you looked amazing! Then again, you always do!! My sympathies to you and your boyfriend for the loss of someone close. That is so sad, so hard, and so emotionally exhausting. Hope you feel better soon. xox
Sorry for your boyfriend's loss also .... it's the hardest thing we face in our lifetime. Love all the outfits you wore/could definitely tell it's fall! Thanks, Elise.
❤ I think that the purple velvet trimmed brocade jacket is my favourite of all the ones you have found over the years - I would have a hard time giving it up. Love the long plaid jacket❤ both style ways look really good, but if I had to choose I would say with the look with the trousers is my preference. You found so many treasures on your trip.
Thank you for sharing some of your life with us, I do approve the work you put into your vlog. Condolences on your boyfriends recent loss, never easy saying goodbye. ❤
Very sorry to hear of your boyfriends loss. It’s good you are together to help each other out during the tough times. Another beautiful video, thank you Elise. Take care.
Sorry to hear about your boyfriend's loss. My friend also loss a close friend of his yesterday and he's having a hard time. Love all your thrift store finds today and hope you have a peaceful week if possible. Looking forward to next week's video. You are a light in this world Elise!❤
My deepest condolences to your boyfriend, loss and grief is hard and very personal. I'm sure he's feeling your love and support. No doubt, it is giveing him much comfort during this difficult time. Yes, seeing someone pass can be a very hard to watch, especially if you've not been prepared for the steps of dying. However, it can also be a beautiful and deeply loving experience. That's how it was when my mom passed in 2001. Take it all in slowly, allow yourself time to process it. Much love and healing energy is being sent from me all the way from California, to you both. ❤🤗🙏
My condolences for your boyfriend’s loss. Death is surely one of life’s most difficult times. I lost my son this summer, and my heart is broken. 💔 … You’re a lovely girl inside out, I just know your boyfriend Is a lucky fella to have you beside him. Blessings to you and to B/F. 🙏🏻🇺🇸
I always feel like I'm catching up with a close friend as I am the same age as you when I watch your videos. :) I'm always so proud and full of love and joy for everything you do and accomplish. I'm also very excited already for next weeks video. 😊
I’m sorry Sorry for the Loss of your BF’s Family. Prayers of comfort for Them! Another thoughtful, Video, full of Truth! And that’s why we LOVE YOU, Dear Elise! Such Wonderful Treasures, You’ve found! HOORAH!!!! ❤
The art selection in your thrift stores is so amazing 🤩 Personally I have several vintage soup tureens in my house. I use them not for soup, but as decor on shelves, etc that I store bits and bobs or batteries or whatever ❤ Put those beauties to use!
I went thrifting yesterday and the store had a "Halloween" section.....OH the vintage treasures!!❤ I bought a 1960's crop jacket with fur collar, a 1960's fur pillbox hat, some amazing 70's dresses, leather fringe coat from the 1970's.... just amazing finds!! All for just a few dollars (thrifted items are normally expensive here).
Thank you for the wonderful fall scenery, and the amusing title! It gave me a good hearty laugh that was much needed. I’ve been battling COVID all week, and your reminder to take care of yourself helped me to just rest again today, and not push myself. Please send our heartfelt sympathy to your boyfriend, and I know he is thankful for your support during this time. 🌞🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻
Hi Elise!! Death is never easy. I am so sorry for your boyfriend's loss. Sending you both big hugs!! You found some beautiful pieces this week!! Love the bird ❤ she is beautiful ❤️ Hope you take you some much needed time to just relax & renew. Take care sweet girl ❤️😊
Hello, Elise. So sorry to hear about your boyfriend’s loss. I really like all your purchases this week. You have such a knack for putting gorgeous outfits together. I love how you take the time to look so beautiful when you go out for the day. I hope you find your lamp…the hunt is so much fun. Can’t believe it’s time to put your garden to sleep for the winter. Will be looking forward to watching you next time.
I am living vicariously through your vintage shopping!! I love the stores. I used to live in an area of New York that had amazing thrift shops just like the ones you show us. But where I live now they are pretty bad. So thank you! LOVE that velvet skirt and pairing you made. It’s stunning! Can’t wait to see the unboxing next week!
I think this was my favorite video that you've made. I've been watching you for several years. I love the Vintage clothes since I was a teenager in the 70s.
I love the first look with the trouser and wearing it as a coat. You even make look brown look great! Oh I've missed the Danish country side and forest. Thank you for including it. My condolences to your boyfriend..and you as well. Sad and it does make you think about your own life. So with that said: live your life bc it's not anyone else's. So yes let's enjoy our weekend ❤
The dishes that you mentioned you saw a lot of in thrift shops could be used as vases for dried/artifical flowers. You would obviously have to remove and store the lid, but place foam for flower arranging in the dish, stick in your flowers/foliage and display on a table. ❤
Mint is so hard to get rid of in the garden. I ripped it all out and still see it pop up in random places once in a while. I have to be very diligent and dig up any runners around the plant. I did save some to put in pots because I love the plant in spite of its invasive ways. I have to keep the pot on cement because it will eventually try to grow out of the hole in the bottom of the pot 😂
Your new birdie is trully adorable, just like you :) I'm also trying to find celing lamps second hand for my bedroom and living room and it's soooo damn hard! Thank you for another peaceful and beautiful video!
Hi Elise so sorry to hear of your loss😢 when you were driving. I was thinking about the little cottage and how sad i was when you decided to sell it...then you introduced your current house and your beautiful garden - ooolala you ended up right where you were meant to be ❤ Blessings sending hugs, strength and healing vibes to you both 😊 see you next time
The dress is beautiful all three ways and looks stunning on you. A real classic piece. Sorry on the loss of the friend. The stark reality of the finality of death is truly overwhelming. Wishing peace for the days ahead.
Hello Elise, I am glad you found treasures at the thrift shops. I also love the jacket. I am sorry for your boyfriend's loss... :( Are you doing something special for Halloween this year ? I was surprised to see you still have flowers in your garden, that is nice :)
