Yay! Let the fun begin. I did like the slideshow format Pepper. I’m soooo looking forward to DC United! I was a little surprised to see Marvel that low on Pepper’s list at 61?
Pepper here! Glad to hear you enjoyed the slides! :D I love the game, and still consider this section to consist of games I would call Great! But I am a bit surprised myself that it didn't end up a little higher. It seems to be a game that cools down for me if I've not played it recently. I'm not sure why, as it's a theme I love, and I would think that would keep it hot because I can't "forget" a theme like I could some of the gameplay details. I really want to play it again, now that I'm talking about it! :D I assume you have played some of the game, Andrew. What are your favorite Heroes and Villains from the game? Any particular pairings that work really well? I own a lot and have played with most, but not nearly enough to have favorites yet.
I am new to your channel, so I don't know if any of you play solo modes, but it would be nice if you could mention which games have solo modes and how they play solo if you have tried them. This would be especially interesting to me because i dont know much about many of the games you all are naming. It is always nice to learn about new games that others like! Thank you. Edit: typos, smh
It'd be fun to see a side-by-side ranking for any games that overlap across your guys' Top 70 ratings (once revealed) -- similar to the way you're tracking historical ratings.
Like everyone else, I love the slides and the counters, haha. It would be fun to have a crossover counter, maybe as well or if anyone else had it before on their list. I am ALL in playing some games with you all. I am extremely eager to learn and enjoy Path of Civilization. Please, please, please- lets make it happen.
How long have you been painting? Do you feel like you are doing better at it than you would have initially thought you'd do? I am just curious if someone was in my same boat and found some success with it! 🙂
@@NachoAverageTableTop hi. I have only painted a couple months. I am getting better. I have shown no true artistic talent in my 55 years of life so my expectations are low. But it is fun, relaxing and makes Marvel United even more fun. (And since you only see the heads, get good at painting those!)
If I could get one from each list, I think I would take Crusaders: Thy Will Be Done, Ark Nova, and Clans of Caledonia. Not played any of the games on this list, though. :)
Teotihuacan is a pretty good pick. I've played it twice so far (once solo, once 2p). Was pretty enjoyable but I think I prefer some of the other T games to it. Also really like Murano, but possibly more in concept than actually playing it
Interesting thought on Murano. I feel the gameplay uses the concepts pretty well, but I could see how maybe some of it may seem a little bland after a few plays. Are there any games that give you a similar feel to Murano that you enjoy actually playing more?
If we're talking rondels, I think my favorite is Heaven and Ale, although you're not continually going around that one.. so maybe it's not a true rondel either. In Murano, I like the action selection through the shared boats and I actually like when the traffic jams occur. It's just that some of the payoff actions in Murano just aren't all that exciting. But the core mechanic is still really good!
Some great picks! I've been super interested in Nova Roma. Menara is a great co-op dexterity game. Onirim was my favorite Oniverse game until I found Urbion. It's been OOP for awhile but they're releasing a new version with expansions this year at Essen!
I don't have a top 10 or top 100. I don't rank games like that. For reviewers, it is useful because a top X list is a bunch of recommendations. Marvel United, or the United series, is neat, but if you don't have hundreds of dollars at kickstarter time you'll inevitably miss some content. There are several core boxes though, so a comparison across those commercially available core boxes might be neat.
When we receive our pledge for them that sounds like a solid idea! With CMON they always seem to find a way to make their product lines expensive by having so many boxes of content. Like you said, making it very hard to keep up with. The last updates for that one makes me a little nervous with the talk about people receiving the incorrect boxes. It will be interesting to see how that plays out and if it changes any of their approach moving forward.
