I’m going to be totally honest here. You ask what is our favorite thing about this video……. I absolutely love just how relaxing you sound when explaining anything. It’s been 2 years and 3-1/2 weeks since I’ve really crafted. My husband would sit at the kitchen table and just watch and help pick his favorite colors and just almost get so involved with the crafts. Lost him just over 2 years ago and it just hurts so much to even try to start up again. However, I did make thank you cards for everyone that pitched in on donating since his death was so unexpected. So Jennifer, it’s all about your voice for me. It really helps me to reminisce my memories of him and I crafting together ❤

All of the tips were great. I didn’t expect I’d be reminded of so many valuable lessons! My favorite tip was revisiting cards and making them over. It has taken me more than a day to make some cards and I began to hate the process although the end result was worth it. Now I focus on processes that don’t take so long. So I do a lot less stamping and coloring. For me, second would be using layering stencils because I just started using them after owning them for many years. Boy are they easier to use and get great results.

Patience is key! As a beginner card maker, it's frustrating when creations don't turn out as expected. Just yesterday, I attempted to layer stamps, but the outcome was so disappointing that I discarded the card. Initially, I considered selling all my layering stamp sets, yet now I'm contemplating giving them another chance.

I don't only need the glasses for crafting. I actually managed to dump my brush in my coffee? Imagine my squeel? I need to get me that fun coffee set "paint water/not paint water". My advise to beginner crafter would be; paper matters. Yes that paper doesn't come cheap. But remember you're more likely to not enjoy your craft if the paper you use doesn't match with your art. Alcohol Markers work brilliant on Neenah's smooth cardstock; watercolor or liquidink combine perfect with fabriano smooth or cold press (wichever you prefer) for playtime I just grab my canson xl. If I want to treat myself I will cutup my jumbo hahnemule expression paper to size I want. I actually prefer those three over arches; arches I use for larger paintings but not for cardmaking. If you want your kid to take pride in their art; bristol watercolor ringbound wont break the bank. Please dont demotivate them by letting them paint on printer paper. You wouldnt want to use that yourself either. Kid watercolor set of 12 basic colors is plenty and all they need. For brushes I use royal langnickel soft grip just bc they don't cramp my fingers.
