First time on your channel. I really like that slick editing your opening B roll had. Also really like your future benefit explanations without just sounding like you're reading the website to me. Thanks so much for the review.
👍🏻👏🏼🙏🏼 thank you that’s extremely kind and delighted you’re finding the channel useful. Really keen to progress in my own way and style to deliver something of use. Hope you stick around to see what’s to come!
@@BikesVansandThings thank you again for that good viewing content. I'm really struggling between the 715, which is this video, and the 716, which is half the size and has no side pockets. My application will be a V-Strom 650. Thoughts?
Could order both and return the one you don’t like? If concerned about the size I would go for the smaller one as the other is bigger than you think and may be the wrong choice. I suppose it comes down to what you NEED to put in it and measure that out?
@@BikesVansandThings I ended up buying the little one and hated it. Rode around for about 5 or 6 days with it on and it's just too small. Didn't try to return until the window was closed so I guess it's mine.
Thanks! Watched this and the few others on YT over the past week or so. Finally ordered it! Thanks for the great video, I came back to watch it all again! And one question: does the top ipad cover come off altogether? It looks like it's permanently attached at the front strap. And do you find that it's quite large and cumbersome standing or off roading? I'll be mounting it on my R1200GSA, and using it for cameras primarily, in between the bike and my trucks.
The iPad top doesn’t come off. It is quite large but I did 2k miles in one week over all types of terrain and worked well as long as you get the straps right. One tip - get some black masking tape to wrap around the straps when in position otherwise they tend to come loose at times on loose ground.
@@BikesVansandThings No one seems to make a tail bag that is in the 15-25 liter range, waterproof without a separate cover, and easy (zippered) get get into quickly. Basically a soft, lighter version of a top case.
@@BoilerRealm I would def have a look at this as an option although my only concern is how it would look aesthetically. Malle luggage do a nice one which is also a pannier?
An important aspect of the bag is how it fits on the bike and works with the rider view of the dash and the interaction with the handle bars. I know this is rider and bike dependent but would've been a nice inclusion in the vid. Good review otherwise.
Great point. You can see glimpses of how it sits on my SCR950 on this video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-pa6Hc53TG8Y.html But I do agree with you.
I don't like large tank bags. 10 litres is my maximum. 20 litres needs to be on the rear seat for me. It looks good quality, though. Good review, apart from the irritating background music.
Good point! Tbh, I had my rucksack strapped to the back in order to save carrying that. With hindsight I would have probably opted for the panniers but didn’t really like any so kept with tank bag and rucksack strapped to rear. Did about 6-8 hours a day and worked fine for a week.
