thank you kelly, i was inspired by 3 channels, the 1st one was west coast, the 2nd was victory, the 3rd is ryan Trahan, i have combined all 3 of their styles and made my own style out of all this, what ive been through in life kinda puts me in a different position because i can speak from personal experience about all this stuff, was i addicted to drugs and homeless, yes i was, anyways i am still learning i will continue to tey to make better and better content. i really need a crew for this youtube

I was homeless for 18 years because of alcohol and drugs but then I started working at the homeless shelter on the Upper West Side Manhattan where i was staying at. I worked there for 6 years and I worked on trying to get my own place which I finally did. It is true that there are different kinds of categories of people living in the shelter or living out in the street, everyone has their own situation of being homeless and with different kind of situations.

I've been homeless, and when I am not I am on the edge of it. I'm insane, not on drugs, so holding down a job is tough as hell. I'm smart, driven, and kind... but between PTSD and OCD, life is a challenge. All that to say thanks for what you do, I can relate.

Was sober 18 months after being diagnosed with liver disease. Ended up slipping and have been battling since ... 15 days sober now and trying. This world isnt easy to navigate sometimes but awesome swwing people like you helping others. My wife and O try help people whwn we cancnot just homeless but also ship out clothes/socks/food and kids books

You know I try not to judge a book by its cover but I gotta tell you I would not have looked at him and thought he would work that hard. Dude worked harder than most people my age 36. Took a chance on someone and he showed up to do work.

My girlfriend could not change a tire because she is so tiny I bought her a impact and she was so happy because she is so independent the first week she stopped and changed a tire for a elderly lady and she said the lady was so impressed with her it made her feel so good that lady said she was going to buy her self one to keep in her car

Glad to be on this channel before its big i was in active addiction for 7 years and i got about a year and a half clean now. Im 25 have started my own company in a couple hours gonna go buy a beater 350k ford ranger for 500$ so i can keep on killing it but i thought it was funny what you said about the tire bursting and going flat. Cuz youre right we wouldnt let a flat tire or overheating or whatever the problem is prevent us from getting drugs when were using. Cheers to you brotha im trying to even be at the point youre at in life but i know it just takes time and grit you will see the real grit of a guy whos trying to stay clean work full time and elevate others. well i only have 2 years under my belt, my dad is a huge asset because he makes all the phone calls and sets up the mudd ect. i just run the jobs basically. i am a 50-50 split w him so it makes the profit less but at the end of the day it makes it better. He also had the backhoe to do the heavy lifting. we threw diwn on the dump trailor and the dump truck. when i started youtube i wanted to use this youtube money to go towards a bobcat, far from it right now but hopefully i have another viral video to get it to help get that easy money lol. anyways im glad u r part of this channel too b4 it gets big because i do think it will, when all the people that are not real fans or supporters fade off and my content just really starts popping, well hopefully it does. im.open to ideas. where r u from?
@@GRUBB-MUDD im from washington state and i hear you brotha i got a buddy that he is my business partner and we split everything 50 50 but he is just teaching me how to be a contractor and honestly he is like a big brother/father figure to me cuz he is teaching me other stuff as well that my dad never did like fishing, camping, fires, and just being a real man. But you got any social media like instagram id like to pick your brain a little if you wouldnt mind cuz i been trying to really find the good people out there that have been where i have been before and see what drives them to be better and kinda see how different the real role models are from the "ideal" ones cuz honestly any person i have met that is 100% real has either been in active addiction or been to the pen. After feeling worse for a couple days, went on to the Doctor, and found out it was the Flu. Noticed it was killing you watching Zeus go up the ramp backwards. Sometimes you want to help the homeless outhere but LOTS of them don’t want the help. They don’t want to work and if they go to work. I travel all over California and Oregon for the kind of work I do. Many times I had needed an extra hand and I ask the homeless if they want some work and they look at me like if I was crazy. A couple times I picked up some and The first one as soon as we hit the road. He asks me if it’s ok if he can drink his beer while I’m driving🤷🏽♂️. I still kept him for a while and he just disappeared and worked whenever he wanted not when he was needed. Another one, wanted to be smoking his weed while I was driving and while we were working. Same deal. Kept him for a few weeks and finally I got tired of his habits that were just a liability for me and let him go. After months of warning him not to do that. At this day he still calls me to ask for work, I just ignore him I don’t need that kind of people around me. Another one , first day just had him driving around with me. He was all happy because he said it was very easy money, next day when real work started. After the first 3 hours he came to me and told me that I was abusing him, I was so far away from home that I offered him to take him to the hotel and I’ll bring him back home on Friday. He at the end agree to work but complaining about everything. Friday came brought him home and when we were about to get to his place he asked me (so Monday what time should I expect you to pick me up. ?) I told him I’ll call you. Another one. Shows to the job site. He got payed since the moment he leaves his house. Drives 6 hours to the job site , we start the job, 2 hours after he asked me if I could please go get him a hotel room because he was already tired. Kept him too for a little while. Super slow dude but nice, I was like hopefully he picks up speed soon but that never happened. Instead he asked when will he get a rise.
i feel ya, and i know it was a long shot but zeus has handled his own weight except for the 1 wheen barrow he spilled but hey we all did that 1× at least. he has only worked a total of 4 days now but i think he has what it takes even as an older guy i think he will do well. thanks for the comment i did read it all, sorry u had such bad luck (i did do a pretty extentive interview and checked his criminal history)
Did that kind of work for over 35 years. I think it’s awesome that you found Zeus to help you and it’s awesome that he stuck with it. It’s hard to find these young people to do it anymore. I mean I am retired now but a good concrete labor and finisher is a dying breed.

Hope you got a set of new tires now bro. You need GOOD tires, like Michelins or Goodyears, don't fall for that cheap bullshit ass tires because they suck they will dry out on the wall and that will get you a blown tire like you had, not saying you had cheap tires btw idk i couldn't see it. Not a tires salesman btw, just say you need the good stuff. Some branded stuff (if not most) is really better then other (off brand) stuff.
If you’re going this type of work into the future I highly recommend investing in a large towable compressor to power a larger jackhammer. It will save a lot of time, energy, and make you money in the long run. Next big removal job go hire one and I’m positive you’ll agree. Great job on turning your life around and paying it forward. Would’ve loved to see how Zeus backed up the next day.
I have several businesses just starting out and I will definately be hiring many homeless people. I have wanted to do this for years.. I am also working on a homeless tiny house park.. Wish me luck !!
Bro. Just ran into yr channel today and yr awesome.Iam in Texas and have ran two business one for 24 yrs. And another for 7 but I retired but along the way I hired countless people at both business some were good some not so I know what yr are doing is a good thing keep up the good work and p.s. I miss it.
that is really nice that Starbucks did those things, but food would have been better. Coffee dehydrates a person and messes up electrolytes. Also if it possible maybe the homeless could start a little garden, and get free used coffee grounds from Starbucks to add to the compost, help attract worms and even start a worm compost pile. They can start selling worms for fishing and gardening and make worm tea and sell compost . Just a thought
its very hard to match new and older concrete in color, but if it bothers you a ton you can use a sealer type paint that is grey, just usebit, thanks 4 watchin!
