@Alex Villalobos so south South Africa does get draughts but we also have huge dams of water. Currently it's summer, the heat can get really unbearable. In some provinces (states) at the moment we can't drink tap water because of a cholera outbreak.
@Freya1412
@Freya1412 Год назад
@@sonjamissblank2222 correction, we do have water shortages sometimes due to poor infrastructure and inability to repair damage in a timely manner. In the suburbs in Durban we experience water rationing a few times a year. Last year we had no running water for almost a week because of heavy rainfall in KZN that caused major flood damage. Luckily we have 2 huge jojo water tanks on our property and we just bought drinking water. However we had no water just 3 days ago because a pipe burst and it supplies the entire area. That took 2 days to fix. No warning, no help in the mean time. And the informal settlements have no running water at all. So while we don't experience droughts we do have issues with supplying clean running water to a lot of the population.

I had a very good friend from South Korea whom I did my masters with. She could barely speak English when we met and spoke 0 Korean. I had to keep my words simple and my sentences short for the first year so we could speak. Now she’s been here almost 10 years and speaks English fluently. Broken English isn’t disrespectful if you aren’t being an asshat and assuming someone doesn’t know the language when they do. Also translator apps that we have now really help.
