Season 8 will ALWAYS be my favorite season ever. 1. Best version of Ch1 map with desert and jungle biome, but still had Tilted. 2. Ballers, pirate cannons, glider redeploy and geysers! 3. Bomb battle pass that was FREE. 4. Short season, as all Ch1 seasons were. 5. Buried treasure. 6. Air Royale. 7. Avengers.

i cannot put in the words how happy i was when i found out that in season og we are gonna go through season 8 map for a week and how heartbroken i was when NOT A SINGLE poi from season 8 was brought back and they put few pirate towers around the map that was just slap in the face

knowing that this season is already 5 years old is actually painful

So sad era was canceled. Best way to relive those old moments

Season 8 of Chapter 1 is something I will forever cherish, specially since it was the season I officially started to play, and it being the skin I use as my main [that being Hybrid], not to mention I miss the volcano, the key force location, and blackhearts location, everything this season had to offer when I played it when I was between 13-14 is something I will forever cherish

Season 8 was the absolute peak in my Opinion the Music the Vibes the maps

My favorite season was season 8, the atmosphere with the volcano and the giant pirate ship and the story just kept me playing

Adding the lava music from super mario bros wii is LITERALLY what I did when I played Floor is Lava. Nice touch!

This is exactly why I loved Season 8 so much I think this Season was the most fun with friends imo

season 8 had glider redeploy, siphon, crazy mobility, along with one of the best loot pools ever def my fav ch.1 season

Dude I remember actually getting them pirate cannon challenge done after like 50 matches at lazy lagoon, It drove me to the brink of insanity

Watching this vid genuinely made me smile it made me remember and relive those times and when I had to grind the quest in season 7 to get the free battle pass for me and my brother because he said the quests were too hard and this was probably my favorite season out of all them just the fun I had playing with all my friends in 5th grade getting on at 6 am to get some games in before school was just so nostalgic. Its sad to see that eras was canceled and slowly watch Fortnite lose its charm over the years. Hope the new doom season is good!

s8 is my favourite season ever. it was my first battle pass (it was free and i only started in s7) it is so underrated. for some reason i remember coming home from school on a THURSDAY waiting for the update and then seeing a volcano. i was so excited. (i guess i remember the exact day of the week because it is my favourite season.)

C1S7 was my favorite map, but I didn’t actually play BR just drove around the map during that entire time, stopped playing BR after C1S5 and came back during C2S2

I remember that challenge with "Deal damage to opponents with a Pirate Cannon" Legit the best and most fun day i have had with my friends, just running around Lazy lagoon and trying to hit someone, but all players alos ran around with the cannon. We did it in Team Rumble, and everybody was kind enough to let us all do the challenge xD Season 8 is my most favorite season of them all. 100%

Season 8 of chapter 1 was the first season in the game that i skipped since that was an era where sweats were a lot more common especially since zero build and ranked weren't a thing yet it made playing the game casually a nightmare during this season but the core of it was still very good

Knowing this is better than chapter 5 and that Fortnite chapters are lasting only 4 seasons is just crazy

Still my favorite season without a single doubt in my mind. Easily the most fun I've had in a game since like 2011 in Kirby's Return to Dreamland, which, I mind you, is my literal favorite game of all time, even as I'm only a month from becoming 20 years old. This season will always have a soft spot as one of the most enjoyable periods of gaming in my life, even if I never won a single game.

This is the season that ended my original Fortnite run from C1S2-C1S8(The Start), I bought the battlepass for the season and stopped playing only a couple days later

season 8 was my fav season, tbf i started playing fn at the end of seaosn 7 and played season 8 a lot but i LOVED it so much

Season 8 was the best mix of classic map and weird new biome. Current fort ite with weird biomes should be jealous.

another thing to note about the season 8 pass was that it was free if you completed some quests in late s7.

ive always loved season 8, i loved the tropical rainforest biome with the several pirate themed outposts around the map coupled with the aztec shrines litered across the tropical biome, the hotsprings, the way tomato temple like blended into the side of the volcanoe along with the obvious pirate town which was amazing, but most importantly i loved the volcanoe especially the outside of it with the stream the went into the underpass, it was just sooo sick and i wished that chapter 4 season 3 would revive this but sadly it didnt (i personally think because of the absence of much tropical-ness and the transformers colab) however i did think the lootpool was blighted with gold weapons with especially the treasure maps. but i did genuienly love this season and always will (also the excavation sties set up to find the vault was sooo cool too)

Saying season 8 was my favorite seasons has been something I have been saying ever since chapter 2’s launch. I would even go as far as to say it’s my favorite season of all time or tied with ch2s2. Season 8 really really had it all. The map i think was top tier maybe except for the removal of lazy links. The loot pool was so balanced, i don’t ever remember it having a meta. Only overpowered item was probably the boom bow, but I don’t think people minded since it was so cool for trickshotting. The battlepass wasn’t anything special but it was still hella cool. It was the first time they introduced both peely and traversal emotes like conga. BOTH WERE EVERYWHERE LOL. Ltms were so unique to this season too. But i think what really stuck with me in season 8 was the lead up the event with the kevin runes all over the map. And the event itself was just insane. I think this was also the same season they first introduced arena if i’m not mistaken. I remember being a bot and waiting for my friend to come online in the weekends (cuz of school) so we could bot together in arena with our matched black fully maxed out lynx skins with the crowbar pickaxe from season 5. We thought we were so cool lmao

personally wailing and risky were my favourite POIs so i kinda quit like 3 weeks into the season and season 9 had too much same with season x and the mechs but season 7 and 4 are my all time favourites

I remember playing lots of Playground & Team Rumble back in the day, it was a BLAST! I also recalled playing Endgame & Air Royale, the latter's existence actually causing me to get my ONLY wins in Chapter 1. I really loved Air Royale and would WANT to see it return. Also making a Wilds private server will probably be so complex, I doubt it's possible.

season 8 is one of the top 3 seasons imo, especially in the beginning when they had siphon in pubs and probably the best loot pool in all of fortnite

Always loved season 8 and always looked back fond upon it, only issue i and many others of the community have was them removing syphon mid season, that update day was a dark day

Season 8 will always hold a special place in my heart; it was the first season I had played from start to finish and I got the valentines free battle pass so overall it was one of the best for me🏴‍☠️

Remember when Fortnite did something at the end of every Fortnite season I'm pretty sure it was only for ch1 but it had your most used skin that season, I think your most used back bling that season, I think your most used pickaxe that season, and I think your most used emote and it was like a trailer I wish Fortnite brought this back

Luxe probably shouldnt have been the tier 100 but shes one of the only skins from chapter 1 that i still actively use nearly every time i play. Aged very well imo

Season 8 was when i made my second fortnite account that i still use to this day. Best season ever.

When you mentioned the quest from s4 open 7 chest in risky i just remembered all the pain but it when neccessary to gain that special skin you get when completing all quest

The thing is, around the end of season 8 is kinda when fortnite lot it’s spark for a while for me. I’ve always thought it was because of this season but I think I just kinda got bored of the general game. I remember having a good time with friends every game! I only rly got back into it later, although I did keep checking on new seasons lol

I was so annoyed because i had moved on from fortnite at this point, so i was really excited for fortnite og so i could explore all the pirate-y stuff. But it was never added for some reason

As someone whose favorite skin is Hybrid, Season 8 will remain in my heart forever.

I remember grinding for the free battlepass, then I saw what it was and I was so disappointed that I had no drive to play the game at all. The only regret I have is not getting og peely

8 was my fav season I would have never forgotten bout it

1- season 7 (for the christmas cozy vibes) 2- season 8 ( for the pirate vibes) i love pirate video games 3- season 2- (for the simplicity and amazing vibe)

I remember having the most fun nights witht the floor is lava LTM, and then they cranked it to 11 and introduced a 50v50 version of that mode and it was pretty chaotic. LTMs should return besides the occasional collab and fortnightmares.

ikr wilds was such a good season I mean, useless mud?! YIPPEE!!! A hard to navigate Biome!! YAYAYAYAYA!!!!! where is it man?!

I liked season 8 even though my account got banned that season and I lost alot of progress. I also had to stop using the PS4 I used to play fortnite on, I got a new one in 2019 2 days after season 9 came out and had to start off fresh again on Fortnite. I played on Android in Season 8 on my cousin's account

Didn’t play Chap 1 (aside from that one time in C1 S4 with my cousin for about 3 minutes) but yeah I do forget about Season 8. 3,5,6, and 8 are the ones I always forget.

The fact that this was 5 years ago makes me want to just end it all cause why not at this point

black heart was originally supposed to be the tier 100 with luxe being tier 1 but many people complained about not having a female tier 100 causing epic to switch at the last minute

Idk man this has always been such a good season in my eyes. Had the desert, the snow, and the jungle while still having tilted and retail row. Battlepass was really good too. And I loved the weapons and the live event as well.

Season 8 chapter 1 was the season I 1st Started playing, It was fun playing as the pirate skin, Shooting the cannons and Just having fun with friends, Learning the game and well It was the good times

Season 8 was the most fun I had. Not necessarily the best, but when i had the most fun with friends. Thats really what makes a season in my eyes

it's crazy how untouched risky was for the entire chapter.

Old Fortnite was genuinely the best the game ever was. It's not nostalgia like everyone says. It was just BETTER. I'm not saying Modern Fortnite isn't good, but Chapter 1 and maybe Chapter 2 were the best the game ever was, moreso Chapter 1 though.

Now I'm exploring chapter 1 map again on YapMaps OG I redownloaded the game just to see my home again when I grow up playing this game my first battle pass was chapter 1 season 6 and I'm still rocking the dj llama skin because is the only skin in the game that gave me attention

Why season 8 is a top 5 season: 1) Peak chapter 1 map 😍 2) Peak loot pool 😍 last time the spas was in chapter 1, drift boards, boom bows, flint knocks, infantry. Just peak 3) I was really invested in the food fight and rock family stories at the time 💀 4) best ltms, air royal, floor is lava, avengers endgame

Season 2 and 3 were by far the best and this isn’t even debatable, You just had to play it for yourself and have friends that also played during that time to realize it. Season 4 was solid to but season 5 straight up ruined the game.

I feel like this season will unfortunately forever be associated with the controversial removal of the syphon test a few weeks in. Which is such a shame because this season was one of the absolute gems of Chapter 1 with the LTMs and map changes. And it's criminal especially that I feel its “tribute” in Chapter 1 OG was the most offensive butcherings in that entire botched rushjob of a season, second only to completely ignoring season 9. An ugly 45 degree rotated Pirate outpost prefab slapped on a hill is not adequate representation
