I know how you feel. I'm on disability as well. I also get SNAP benefits. I love how when there is a COLA increase in disability benefits and you think there may be some breathing room financially(being able to pay bills and stretch SNAP benefits further) and because of the slight increase in disability they cut your SNAP benefits by $10, $20 or $30. Which ends up taking away your increase in benefits to now pay for what SNAP used to.
Canadian disability is no better ..I almost starved to death from 2019 to 2020 ..because we are not people here ..we are a problem and The new budget just came out and Canada will NOT help the disabled but they Fast tracked suicide ..if your disabled you can go and die ..they will help you ..just don't ask for food, water or shelter ...and sadly I was disabled by a politician driving dunk ..he kept his mansions and I got poverty ...Something needs to change.

This is beautiful what you do. When you had given someone an opportunity to meet Shawn Desman and how you replied to me personally, I never thought I'd hear back. But everything you do is really inspiring, and how genuine you are is also beautiful. When I was homeless and going through difficult times like fleeing from abuse, I did not have anyone, so to see good people like you Melts my soul cause good people are Rare. Sometimes, when I struggle, I just think of someone else having it worse it has helped me and me help others as well. Even starting up a conversation or giving my time to the community or just working to give back makes me feel good. I have never been a fortunate human being. I went through tons of hardships and losses. But in all situations, I have learned that things can get better, and seeing your hardworking pay off is what also makes me smile. Thanks for bringing kindness into a world that also can be full of hate and cruelty, and difficult times. You really empower others to spread more kindness no matter the situation ❤💯🥂🌍🤧😢💙

You are the ULTIMATE example of what the world is missing. My husband and I have been homeless 5 times in the past 6 years and it seems like this time will be the 6th time. But, even though we were homeless we never turned our back on the people. We always helped people no matter what.. all of those people lived/live in houses and have things. But, When we needed help no one would lift a finger or even acknowledge us. Living in this town is like living with wolves.... they just take, take, take but never give. We love you Cjay. You are spot on with the remark “Do you stay home with disabled child, or do you leave them and go to work to support their needs?” Common sense dictates that many disabled children simply cannot be left on their own. Praise the lord that you can see this issue as it is, and yet, the government looks the other way!

My nephew is autistic(high functioning), and I saw firsthand the issues my brother and his wife had with trying to get evaluations, special schools, and trying to work with the regular schools. And they both worked good jobs. His wife worked a full-time and a part-time job. My brother was off during the week and worked 3 twelve hour days and luckily got paid for 40 hrs. He worked Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. So he was able to be home Monday- Thursday. Our Mom would babysit on Fridays. I can't even imagine what that would be like without any kind of flexible work schedule with a decent wage and benefits and no help. You are truly a light in a world that can be so dark. Im usually the one to help, right now im in very rough shape. Your videos help me to try to refocus and get back on my feet. Im scared, fighting extra hard to keep my depression in check. A day like today im defeated, paid a couple bills and hoping my unemployment hits my bank account before i get a overdraft fee. I know i have to make moves but i feel cemented to the floor. My stomach hurts because if i eat once a day that is considered a good day, today is not a good day. And if i don't fight myself to go make some money tomorrow will start off bad again. I just keep slipping further away from where i was just at the end of last year. Thank you for taking the time to read. Your absolutely right, money is nice but what i really need right now is some love, that someone cares.

I just found you, but you've already astounded me. you bring a tear to my eye with your kindness. I appreciate that theres kind ppl like you. I really wish it was easier to give to those that actually rly need it, but theres degrees of need. It's just disappointing when someone takes from those who are in desperate need.
My son has high functioning Asperger's Syndrome which is a form of autism. I was single raising him and my daughter. I worked full time and had him in a special school program. It was a really tough road! He's a brilliant young man! He's now 30, owns his own home and has an amazing job. My point is.... I NEVER GAVE UP ON HIM! I taught him to never give up on himself! I worked with him everyday and never told him he had a disability because I didn't want him to lean on that. Please never give up on your children! God has blessed him to lead a full wonderful life! God has Blessed me with two beautiful children, strength, love and patience to keep going everyday!

ME and my husband Luis just WATCHED this video and another video of you in the store where the humble lady gave you a pack of cookies and the cops were called on you..WE were UPSET ABOUT THAT PART..BUT I KNOW ME AND MY HUBBY LUIS WOULDN'T OF HAVE ACCEPTED YOUR MONEY BCZ WEVE BEEN HOMELESS!! AND WE KNOW WHAT IT FEELS LIKE..BUT IN SPITE OF US BEING HOMELESS WE WERE STILL HUMBKE AND KIND TO THE PEOPLE SURROUNDING US ..AND WHEN WE GOT AN APARTMENT THERE WAS A HOMELESS GUY IN OUR NEIGHBORHOOD AND WE MADE SURE TOO GIVE HIM A PLATE OF WARM FOOD EVERYDAY WE SAW HIM..HE PASSED AWAY A COUPLE YEARS AGO..BUT KEEP ON DOING WHAT YOUR DOING ..ALAH LOVES OUR ACTS OF KINDNESS..😊💕👍💯

I can relate to the mother. My son was just diagnosed with autism a few months ago, but I had suspected it for years. I wonder if like me, she's judged, ridiculed, and blamed for her son's behavior.
I can really relate with that mom, my son is now 21 years old and non verbal. Thankful I do work but it is hard everyday because now he is leaving school this year and finding adults programs in this city is hard, I have to support my family financially and can’t stay home. I only put my faith in God’s hand everyday. ❤

It is so hard with a special needs son …….. I stayed home for years because of taking care of my son and his unique situation but now I have to work so we can leave the abusive situation at home…….. but working while trying to still support my son people don’t understand the challenges you face everyday simple tasks are twice as long because you have to get that call when they call you and try to help them through that situation at that moment in time and the emotional and mental toll it takes on you while trying to work and you always question if you are doing the right thing……..when you have a mental health child you feel alone because it’s just you, people don’t help they are scared of your child/situation they run and you get isolated no friends and family lives across the pond ……… to everyone who supports a person with a disability I want you all to know you are their world and you are doing a fantastic job you are not alone you are loved 💜💜 Keep up the fantastic job spreading love and showing you care you are making such a difference in people lives thank you 💜💜

I absolutely love what you do to others who are in need. I also know how it is to be a parent of a child on the spectrum, my son was diagnosed at 2 and is now 16 but I had to stay out of work till he reached school age and even after that I had to quit again as I had to be out a lot for him. Now I have a husband who has been legally blind for about 10yrs don’t know what caused it and just about a year now he was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer that spread to liver and lungs. I had no choice but to quiet work to care for him, I can’t be his PCA as we are legally married & can’t collect unemployment as they say I owe since covid time which I don’t have time to fight the system. We also have a 9yr old who I need to care for it’s so hard on us, had to get government assistance for daughter and I as husband receives SSI SSDI but not enough to live on. Luckily we have public housing and rent is subsidized based on our income they only take 30% of our income for rent but still rent, bills and other items like household items and whatever our child needs is important. I wish there were kind people like yourself here in the US. God bless you in all you do. I love to see the smiles you put on these people.

I was really down tonight nothing to watch found out my car is going to need a new transmission which is over $2,000 I could disability and don't have the money to do any of that to fix it I won those car out of a wreck a girl hit me and broke my neck then I found this on RU-vid this is truly amazing what y'all do wish I could help people like that God bless you!
