I need these for my fiesta ST here in Scotland, looking for a 5 spoke design and was going towards compomotive. But seeing this btcc throwback design on a hot hatch just works for me. Can’t find a dealer in uk yet, anyone you can recommend overseas? May have to ship over
I absolutely love the new Veloster- wish we had them in the UK. Wheels look amazing. I loved the Touring cars, especially the Laguna and S40. Remember watching them race at Oulten Park and Will Hoy turned his Mondeo V6 on it’s roof right in front of us! He wasn’t going fast luckily walked away just fine. Great video!
The wheels give it a unique look, i personally would have gone darker with a graphite grey. The car is sweet no matter what u do with it, i love the N.
Wow i think I might go the same route those just look perfect on the car and I live in NY so the smaller size should be better. Thanks for the video man!
The classic look of the five spoke is timeless imo. These wheels really remind me of the wheels from my all time favorite car - The Mclaren F1! I would’ve definitely went with something a bit lighter though.
As far as looks go, I think what you chose looks awesome. Personally, I think I would have went with something lighter if I planned to track it in any way. The color is fine, it's nice to see something different than black that everyone is doing, including myself. I wanted bronze colored rims but they weren't available in the style I got at the time.
@@ShiftingLanes Wedsport TC105X. About 16.5 lbs per corner on 18x8.5 +50, which is near perfect if you want to keep the stock suspension geometry and not throw the car too far out of balance. I see too many guys going with +35 offsets for more poke, which just ends up making the car feel like it's on ice skates.
Totally agree with the idea to downsize to an 18" wheel but regardless of 1552 being a sponsor, if weight savings was truly a concern for autocross, you could've gotten an 18" wheel that weighs 17lbs (O.Z. Alleeggerita HLT).
1552 was not a sponsor for this video, though this does play like a nice ad for them lol. Totally agree with lighter wheels for Autox. OZ allegerita is a bit on the expensive side. Other flowformed wheels were also contenders. In the end I wanted form more over than function.
I get a little bored with the straight 5 spokes after awhile. Should be good, and look good on the car. Not sure about the paint. I'm definitely looking forward to you modding and auto crossing this car!
Love what you did here downsizing the wheels for more sidewall. When will OEMs figure out we want ride quality not massive wheels? Looks amazing man, can't wait to see the autocross video!
So - to each their own. I personally am also planning on getting a set of the Potenzas as well since the Star Specs aren't offered in larger sizes (that I've seen at least). However, I am not a fan of Fifteen52 wheels at all. They weigh WAY TOO MUCH. I personally don't like any of the wheel styles I've seen of their's either, again, that's just my own opinion.
This is really helpful.I am going to get a set of wheels for mine before the winter.Did you install the tire pleasure sensor as well?Does it work?If I put the stock wheel back on afterward .Is the oem one still work?I am worry about that.Becasue I am going to install the wheel in the tire shop.I ship it directly to the shop.
@@ShiftingLanes Thanks for your response.Does 18in set up fells softer than the oem set up?For daily driving I need to give my family a ride sometime.I can handle the stock set up but they don"t.😅
I will have to run a second set. I’ve had the Michelin x-ice xi3 and some blizzaks in the past for different cars, and I’ve been generally happy with those. I will make a decision later in the fall with which I’ll go with.
