Giving our VW T3 (Vanagon) a new engine! Step by step 1.9TD AAZ conversion (part 1) 

After the van decided to die on us when going home from our grand Norwegian road trip, we had to get busy changing out the engine. Luckily, we quickly found a 1.9TDK AAZ engine that we started fixing up. Let’s show you the process of swapping out the standard 1.6TD with this 1.9 AAZ, doing it step by step and also showing the parts we needed to buy in order to make the engine into a "new", reliable piece of machinery.
