He said when he was in school one of his friends was rich and he showed off his money and it made him think more and he also wanted to make money and become rich like his friend, but it was difficult then he tried to kill and rob ppl to make easy money. So that is just one of the examples in real world, there are billions of examples like that. God made human beings to chose how they want to live so when you show off there are weak ppl who tries to be like you, but they don't have the opportunity like you and they start to be in your level by using wrong ways. I'm sure that rich ppl specially muslims help and support each other, but showing off your welt is wrong thing specially in social media.
