LIVE DIGS with the Garrett Ace Apex. Dusted off the old Garrett and gave it a go at the beach, after the update it is surprisingly pretty stable on the wet sand! Giving the Apex one last chance, we might have to part ways and embark on a new journey.. that new one being... Legendary? 🤣

Wanted to keep this one REAL let you see the target being dug and some of the swinging while using the Garrett Apex MS at the beach.
More stuff was found and more videos are coming soon, I wanted to keep these ones on the shorter side but I will put out more episodes of this day.
I honestly enjoyed swinging the Apex on this hunt, it felt good in my hands it wasn't giving me false signals and it found me some pretty deep targets.

Okay this video is 2 years ago and I got since a short time the apex with the raider coil and so far it hasn't disappointed me finds stuff really deep if there is something in the ground it finds it works great 😁🙏🏻👍🏻

Bought the Apex twice, such a beautiful and light machine - true point and shoot design. BUT there is a caveat and at the Park which is the only place i am able to detect.... It had me chasing "blips & chirps" during my swings - wasting my time . I didnt have confidence in it. If i had beaches however... I probably would still have it... - Thanks for the beach vids bro

It's definitely been an up and down ride with the old apex! I think at the end of the day it still won't get reached for enough so I think I'll put the funds into the nokta or MAYBE eventually try out a PI machine but that will be a while. Thanks for dropping by Joey!

I was super close to getting an AT pro when I first got into detecting there was one in a pawn shop price was just slightly too high 🤣 ended up getting an ace 200 to start with, still got it! I'll very likely sell my apex also, just not quite what I am after but it's really not too bad on the beach

It's funny that the Apex does well on the beach while it's not waterproof, just splash-proof. There are still a few things why I wouldn't buy the detector but that is personal of course and another discussion. Nice video again and I'm looking forward to part two.

I hunted with Robert and Melissa Clark of Clark's Cove...Robert uses his Apex, Melissa the AT PRO, I had my Nox, and my grandson had my Simplex. We sounded like The Charge of the Light Brigade, we were so loud!💖

Had my Apex for four months, reaper coil upgrade, just love it on the beach. It is "weather proof" been out in some dire rain, never a problem. I also own a PI machine, prefer the Apex 😁 Happy hunting!

I had a good time swingin the apex that day, a huge benefit for me is it's light as a feather! I'm happy to hear you're enjoying yours, I really have been considering getting a PI machine for the beach! Love all the different detectors... all unique in their own way 👍 Happy huntin' john!! 🙏

I would be hunting the rocks. That's like the bottom of the beach. All the finds are probably not even buried

A lot of the time I get slightly overwhelmed when there's so much ground, I've still got a lot to learn when it comes to beach hunting but usually for me it comes down to efficiency how many targets can I dig.. those rocks just take a toll on me and usually take a long time to recover but I do not discount them!! Absolutely still dig down there! That's where I got one of the gold rings last time, cpl inches down wedged in the rocks👍

Me and the apex have had our struggles but he didn't do too bad on this hunt! I am with you Dan I like the differences of each detector one benefit of the apex is its light as a feather! 🪶 I think I will get rid of it though to fund the legend or I was thinking it might be cool to get a pulse induction machine 👍 thanks Dan! Whats in the Bag video uploading now I figure the live digs can get very long I'd split it into two videos :)

Absolutely! The guy I met there on the beach with the Quest detector he just had a garden trowel, we all start somewhere! He was asking where I got mine I can bet he'll go order one, makes diggin a lot more enjoyable!

i used my apex at a saltwater beach and within an hour i had 4 nails from the boardwalk, a silver dime and 3 pennies. i like my apex, and for a first time user, it can't be beat.

I wonder if the simplex prices will come down any after the legend is out for a few months? I'd consider buying another one just cause I love it soo much. Aye she got me a 56 Rosie on black Friday in a curb strip. NEED to know what's in that bag!! Lol

I have the legend in the works! 🙏🙏 Very likely rid of the apex, might keep the vanquish for me it's worth the 150 bucks to keep as a backup!

Hi Austin , I guess the only way to truly compare the Apex to the Nox is to use both at the same time on the same area and see which one picks up a signal on a target that the other one misses. I have a Nox 800 and my daughter has a Garrett AT Max and when I did air tests on targets they were actually the same! Same sensitivity and same range of distance. She seems to find coins better than me but my hearing ain't the best. Keep going a ring will be in your scoop sooner or later !

That would be a nice test, maybe we'll give it a go here soon. At the end of the day I really do enjoy all the different machines.. The apex was light as a feather that day and felt good to swing but at the same time in the back of my head I was wanting to go grab the equinox.. just comes down to our preference I guess. As long as we are swinging the goods will come out eventually 🙏

You are correct, the apex does best on the beach. If it is there, it will find it. On land, in the parks I find it does make a lot of blips on nothing, but it still finds things. The VDIs while not exact I can take good guesses at what an object is before digging it. I do see Minelabs virtue in having 50 VDI points over everyone else's 100, it looks like you get more stable VDI signals. Something springing between a 60 to a 66 on a Garrett would be 30 to a 32 on a Minelab, for example so don't quote me. You are in a good position to have choice, one day I shall pick up a Minelab as a second machine, to find out what all the fuss is about.

Apex has been warming up to me that's for sure, did you ever download the software update for it? I know when I first got it, it was definitely quite a bit more chatty but since I updated it seems to be not as bad. There is a new nokta makro machine coming out thats supposed to be very similar to to the nox but it has a set of 60 VDI. Will be interested to see how it works, I have a problem.. and that problem is I love all the different detectors 🤣 don't know if one will necessarily find MORE than another but I just like them all because they are all so unique in their own way... definitely a fun hobby all around 🙏

@@TreasureOutdoors I picked up the Apex with the new update already installed. I don't personally know any different. I am happy with it I just get that achey feeling that I am missing out on something not having a Vanquish or a Simplex. The Nokta Legend is looking spiffy. Can't wait to see you demonstrate it for us. If you end up loving it I will surely splash on one.

For me personally without headphones it still felt a little loud at the minimum volume when around other people, just wanted it just a little more muffled but you are right and it has a great speaker in it!
