He lost his mother, his father, his sister, his only but best friend, his ability to express emotions, and then imagine how he felt when Tanjiro became a demon. Giyu is a VERY underrated character. Even my classmates who watch DS hate him.. He deserves more fans😢

The thing that made Giyu never smile was when he lost Sacyto but when he lost his brother he was devastated but he could still be cheerful and when Shinobu died he was quite sad

And i wonder why some people don't like him . His character is well written.. bcz this guy now look like a person who is merciless, but then again, deep inside he's so kind and wise.. He's also strong and brave guy, although he wasn't, but he worked hard to be one... He's just an awesome character....

He lost his sister, Sabito and Makomo first and he met the hashira and demon slayers. He start liking everyone, especially Shinobu, Tanjiro and Nezuko but he lost Shinobu. He was still a bit happy because Tanjiro and Nezuko are still alive
I love demon slayer so much bro lowkey one of my favorites Giyuu's backstory was really sad. After all, he lost everyone, he cared about most, so he blamed himself for their deaths cause of the situation and didn't think he deserved to be a Hashira. I honestly think he did deserve to be a Hashira with all his knowledge about water breathing after all, he developed the 11th form which shows just how strong he is. It's sad to see him thinking less of himself and the other characters talking about him in bad ways because they just don't know what he means. (Specifically, Sanemi and Obanai.) honestly a underrated character.

It hurts me because he lost everyone and when Shinobu said no one likes him I felt heart broken even though I love them as a couple like he’s never been so depressed until he lost his sister,Sabito and Shinobu….I feel so bad for him but until he met Tanjiro and Nezuko he would risk himself to save them it’s so sweet but then he felt horrible when he saw tanjiro die infront of him and he felt so guilty giyuu just needs respect and love ❤❤
