At the evening of Giyu's disappearance, a mysterious person named Yugi arrives in another part of Japan. No one knows who he is, except that he is a Water Breather and a skilled swordsman. He wears his messy long hair down. His gaze is stoic and empty, his blue eyes devoid of any emotion. When he speaks, he does so in a blunt and straightforward manner. I can imagine that to be Giyu's new identity.
Imagine some time later (probably months or years after) and Shinobu and the rest of the hashira found where he lives, only to Shinobu's shock and horror, Giyu (or Yugi) already has a lover and the couple has a child together. And Giyu looks so happy to be with his family. Just an idea. No need to take it too seriously.
Imagine the hashiras found where Giyu now lives, after a certain amount of time had passed (months or even years), and they discover that, much to Shinobu's shock and horror, that Giyu has a new family where he live. A wife/lover and they have a child together. And Giyu looks so content and happy with his new life. This is just an idea, so no need to take it too seriously.
Some years pass since Tomioka's disappearance, the hashiras received a report that a swordsman bearing closing resemblance to the former Water Hashira was spotted in a remote village. Further information states that the mysterious swordsman appeared in the village some days after Giyu Tomioka vanished from the Demon Slayer Corps. At once, Kagaya called for a hashira meeting. A Demon Slayer Corps shinobi entered and relayed vital news to Kagaya and the hashiras. Kagaya: So Tomioka-san has been located? Shinobi: We do not know if the swordsman is indeed the Water Hashira. Kagaya: I see. The information you provided is more than vital. Thank you very much. You may now dismiss yourself. Shinobi: Thank you, Master Kagaya. (Leaves) Gyomei: So he is finally found? Tengen: Flamboyant news! Kyojuro: Indeed, my friend. Sanemi: Tch. Muichiro: *nods* Kagaya: Indeed. Now, who shall we send to investigate and verify? Hashiras: .... Kagaya: Hmm? No one? *Shinobu stands up* Shinobu: I'll go. Mitsuri: Shinobu-chan? Shinobu: It was my fault that he left. I shall take responsibility. Kagaya: Very well. Who will you pair up with? *Mitsuri stood up* Mitsuri: I'll help her. Shinobu: Mitsuri... Kagaya: Very well. Your mission is to verify and investigate if the mysterious swordsman is indeed Giyu Tomioka. Shinobu: Yes, master. Mitsuri: Hai! Kagaya: Good. That is all. Dismissed. *All the hashiras bowed as Kagaya leaves the room* Shinobu: After all this time... Obanai: Mitsuri, why are you going? Mitsuri: I have to help Shinobu-chan in this mission. I am her friend, after all. Obanai: You're only wasting your time. It is best if you leave that loner alone- *SLAP!* Obanai: ?! *Holding his cheek* Mitsuri: *her arm is outstretched* That's enough, Iguro-san. I don't want to hear anymore. Obanai: *nods hesitantly* Mitsuri: Good. Shinobu-chan, please ready yourself. We'll be leaving shortly. Shinobu: Ok... By late afternoon, both Mitsuri and Shinobu has left and is now bound for the village. Arriving at the village... Shinobu: We're here! Mitsuri: Yeah! It's so peaceful here. I can take Iguro-san out here for our date! :D Shinobu: That's good, but it'll have to wait. We have to complete this mission. Mitsuri: Oh, right! Let's go! Shinobi: But where do we start... At the village market... Shinobu: Why here? Mitsuri: This is where the townsfolk usually gather. Surely someone must know something. Shinobi: *nods* They overheard a young woman and an elderly vendor chatting. Vendor: You really love to buy so much salmon. And I do notice that you also carry a basket full of daikon. Young Lady: *smiles sweetly* Mhm. I am making this for my husband. He loves salmon daikon. Vendor: *teasing smile* Ahh, so it is something special! Young Lady: *nods happily* Just that, today is the second month of my pregnancy. Vendor: KYAAAAAAAHHH!!!! *Calms herself down* Calm down, caaaaalm down....sorry about that. Young Lady: *giggles* It's no issue for me ( ꈍᴗꈍ) Vendor: But still. He arrived at the village just suddenly, and after some time you two started going out. Now you're carrying his child. Vendor: Still, a warm and caring heart beneath that stoic mask...not to mention he's got the looks, is a strong and skilled swordsman... you're so lucky... Young Lady: *embarrassed* P-please...! Vendor: Ok, ok. Here, I'll put a discount on the salmon as an apology. Young Lady: *breathes a sigh of relief* Thank you... Vendor: No problem. Enjoy yourselves! And get home quick! *The young lady paid for the salmon, bows to the vendor before leaving* Mitsuri: Wow, that was a lot of salmon- *notices Shinobu* Shinobu-chan? Shinobu: Tomioka-san...loves salmon daikon... Mitsuri: He does? *Realization hits her* Wait! So that means- Shinobu: *follows the young lady* Mitsuri: *follows her* Both Shinobu and Mitsuri stealthily followed the young woman back to her home.
Both hashiras arrived at the young lady's home. Both Shinobu and Mitsuri are watching behind a thick shrub and a grove of trees. Shinobu: So this is their home? Mitsuri: Looks like it... They watched as the young lady knocked on the door. Seconds later, the door opens and a man comes out to greet her. His long and messy hair is completely down, his blue eyes holding an expressionless gaze, his face indecipherable. Wearing a blue kimono with a katana attached to the side. Young Lady: Thank you, Yugi-kun. *Hugs him; Yugi returns the hug* Shinobu: O-O *recognizes him at once* Mitsuri: It really is him... Shinobu: T-Tomioka-san... *Tears forming in her eyes* Shinobu can feel her heart is shattering. Yugi: How are you? Young Lady: I am fine. I just went to the market to buy some food. Yugi: I see. *Gazes at her basket* Young Lady: I'll be making your favorite. Salmon daikon. Yugi: *smiles* Shinobu: *eyes widened as she saw his smile for the first time* He...he never...smiled at me...before... *Her voice is breaking* Mitsuri: (oh no...this isn't good...) Yugi: May I know the occassion? Young Lady: *gently pats her stomach* Today...is the 2nd month of my pregnancy... Yugi: I can only hope our child will be happy. Young Lady: *smiles sweetly* Our child will be so happy and beautiful... Yugi: *kisses the young lady* Young Lady: *returns the kiss* I love you, Yugi-kun. Yugi: I love you too... At that, Shinobu's tears starts flowing as her heart completely shattered. She clutched her chest, feeling the agony from her broken heart. She choked back sobs as she watched the scene before her unfold, fighting with herself to stifle her sobs of pain. Shinobu desperately wipes her tears, but to no avail as they keep flowing. Mitsuri: Shinobu-chan... *Reaches out to comfort her* Shinobi: Th-this has...got to be...a sick joke...n-no...I'm t-too late...T-Tomioka-san...I'm so...sorry...! *Completely breaks down as she runs away into the forest* Mitsuri: Shinobu-chan?! *Chases after her*
@@thetextinghashira Sorry. This idea came from a friend of mine who love these types of heart-breaking stories. She once shared to me a story that is very similar to this one; I just changed the names and settings a bit to match.
That's really sad like they are getting mad at giyyu for mentioning her dead sister but not mad at Shinobu like he wouldn't have snapped if she didn't bring up his sister
I almost cried while watching this because because when little mosquito was bullying poor tomioka everyone was like "meh😐" but then when giyu stood up for himself everyone went bonkers 👁️👄👁️

Bro when giyu snapped when shinobu make fun of tsutako. No-one gave a shit but when he said something a bout Kanae everyone defended shinobu and the audacity of obanai calling giyu and asshole made me hunt down shinobu sanemi and obanai
i have a idea, what if he gets in a fight with a uppermoon and he kill's the uppermoon but durin all of that a hashira (can be any) comes and sees him fighting the uppermoon, they try to help tomioka but he is in the zone so he cant hear anything, BUUUT the hashira has no idea who that man is beacuse he changed (kinda usein McDonnell-Douglas DC-10's idea for that one creds to him) and tha hasira bringes him to the masters place to make him a hasira but he declines and runs back to his village untill shinobu stops him and tells him that she needs to treat his wonds so he gose to the butterfly place to get helpd and then after getting helpd and stuff. TANJIRO thought he smelt like tomioka so tanjiro told himself to tell noone beacuse that is what tomioka would of whanted (btw the time passed 1 year) tomioka already forgives shinobu and shinobu forgives tomioka, and the hasiras are still lokin for him, im done tipin this so u can add stuff onto this if u use it :)
I see the comment is 2 weeks old but i just have to say it. Even if he said some mean things there is no way he should fell like he need to apologize Shinobu is not going to forgive him bcz he ain't apologize no one she's the only one who has to.
people are saying that “oh no one is standing up for giyuu” or saying that “shinobu deserves that”which is true bc what shinobu did is wrong but they are probably defending her bc she’s a woman, like apparently in the kny universe, men are supposed to respect women like don’t hurt them, don’t yell at them and more. (This is also what happened before irl in the 90’s except in 2020-2023 men started to freely hurt women without being ashamed) also yall can’t go on hating her if she regrets it. And it’s only a story, like stop being so mad abt it. People are also saying that “when shinobu talks abt tsutako (giyuu’s sister) they don’t do nothing but when they talk abt Kanae they go rage mode or som” well it’s bc they knew Kanae and were close to Kanae, while they had no idea who giyuu’s sister was or even knew he had one, they just completely didnt know tsutakos existence.

Reminds me of my friends. It feels bad when u get roast and no one stood up for you. When u just say a few words that's not even that mean and they get so mad at you. I experienced that. I have a friend that literally roast me all the time and when i said something kinda mean she got mad at me like bruh. She's so fake for me, she never even realize what she did.

The fact they call me a jerk and stuff a soon as i do the exact same thing shinobu chan had done to me for years. Yet that doesn't excuse her to probe around and bother Tomioka. If he doesn't want to talk let him be. Just bcz she feels miserable she doesn't have to make others feel that as well.

Oh so just bcz Kanae was a demon slayer and Hashira, the hashiras are ready to defend her. And Giyuu's sister is a Civilian so she doesn't have any significance. Is this humanity? Or its just power speaking? Even if tomioka ignores others Nobody has right to bother him just for fun or its too much for them. Most of the Hashiras know about the pain and loss of their loved ones and yet they unsee it. If this was Canon then there wouldn't have been any difference between humans and demons.
