True Romance continue to omit varying shades of summer with a head-twisting record courtesy of Dolomiti based duo Gian Pietro Dragoni & Tiziano Santomaso a.k.a GiZa DJs.
'Revelation' kicks things off with a heady and cinematic production that dials in a dramatic night-time-drive vibe from the off. Flickering synths pull the track forwards as they percolate over a subby foundation. Tension is developed through melodic layering and adroit FX management as warm sweeps gradually seep through the fabric of the record forming blots of pastel-toned colour that eventually grow into a wide, mesmerising tapestry that is guaranteed to send festival floors into a dizzy spin.
'Dystopian' then follows up with a standout dance floor bomb. Tight, syncopated rhythms are braided together to form a kinetic charge that drives deftly diced vocals into orbit. Synths chords steadily ramp up in intensity while bold sequencing has the track flowing through dramatic chapters.
'Rules' then brings things to a slick and sassy conclusion. Strutting square waves, stabbed guitar chords and a slapping Disco kit edge towards a honey-soaked breakdown that gently swells before the tension steps up a rung on the ladder. A feverish energy continues to climb up and up right until the end of what is broad-ranging record that will no doubt find it's way into countless bags across the summer season.'
