The song is just a Masterpiece. But the people who clean and prepare the stage should also get an round of applause and that the digital floor also shows where to put what is just amazing.
That’s amazing, I’ve not seen this before, you don’t realise how much goes into production. The production team hiding behind the props ready to move them on cue and cameramen moving around the stage for best shots, amazing teamwork amazing singer 👍🏻
Fell in love with this song. Thanks for this angle of filming. Watched it here in the US (First time we got to see it!) and of course on TV you see all of the visual effects. This was really cool to watch. This song was one of my 3 picks to win along with Malta and Iceland. Oh well!
Oh that’s interesting! He was ready about 30 sec before, would be a long time to get nervous for me. It’s not just about to be a good singer, you have to be able to control your nerves I to really hit that notes. Really loved the song, even more than Arcade. I like the first part of the staging, would have preferred something like he in the middle of the stage, these parts around him like after an explosion and the universe stuff from the video in the background. I don’t understand French so something illustrating the universe might have been helpful. Fells uncomfortable to watch him on this little thing in the end. Great song, love the dynamic within 3 min, other songs can be so boring. A shame it didn’t get more televotings, but to be honest there were so many dancing girls in little sparkly outfits, I really enjoyed Finnland and Italy. Perhaps he will come back in a few years and will win it, just 22 years old, a lot of time.
I agree with you that this is better than Arcade. Everything about this song is magic, and even without understanding the lyrics, it moves me to tears and a feeling of hope and joy. Arcade was sad, and Duncan has a good voice, but nothing can compare to Gjon in terms of emotional reactions.
I honestly really enjoyed the staging. It felt like an abstract depiction of the universe which I really enjoyed. I agree that some of the movements did feel a little awkward but yeah, other than that I agree with everything you said. The dynamics of the song were amazing!
I’m really late to this comment but unless you haven’t already looked up what the lyrics actually mean and the metaphoric meaning of the song, it’s about being at the centre of an explosion. Gjon said it was like ground zero. So in my opinion I think the staging is really effective as it shows destruction.
The song is awesome but I can't help but notice how everything was perfectly staged, when I saw it in streaming I thought the pieces were remote controlled and then I realized there was actual people who moved the pieces out of the frame of the cameras Amazing it was all done live
Thank you so much for this video; I’m always intrigued to see what goes on behind the scenes in between songs and how much of it is actually done manually. Always thought moving props were robotically-controlled. Also, the amount of movements by the camera crew to give us the dramatic images we see on television.

У вас на канале, в видеороликах, и тысячной нет от того, что есть в том, как создаётся Евровидение с технической, хореографической и промоутерской стороны. Когда креатива нет в творчестве - только и остаётся других из зависти помоями поливать.
Seeing him standing there as the postcard music plays, the loud drums and cheering of the audience.. I can't imagine how much pressure he felt in that moment.
Eh, I think the minimalism was better for him. I think the rest of the "ballad" songs tended to overdo their staging to the point of distraction, but this approach put the full focus on the power of his voice. It's the same reason Voila was just a bare stage but it worked so well. You get drawn into the performer more.
I loved him too. I liked Italy more, but this was my clear second. I think the staging was awesome, I just don't think he was as popular (no idea why imo).

He should’ve won esc 2020/2021 sad esc 2020 was cancelled:( but he had the chance to win 2021💙 He deserves it. He performed better in the semi finals than in the final, at least in the beginning of the song. But he is still my nr 1 and I voted for him. Amazing song and singer!! I hope we see more of him in the years to come! 🤩

Idk why but since I was a little kid I have been THE MOST fascinated by music videos in which artists become victims of something bad (accidents, cataclysms, etc).
What was wrong with the audience? When you hear a voice like that you should stay silent until the end. I'm sure the artists don't need, or want, a reaction after evey note.
