I recently got this keyboard with the blue switches. It's actually a really decent keyboard. Better than my old Corsair and drevo boards which I paid triple the price for. The stabs while nowhere near perfect are far better than what I've had on the 2 I just mentioned. The typing experience on the clicky blues is delightful. I'm currently waiting for the new aluminium case and plate to arrive. Also got a new set of keycaps. Going to mod and lube the stabs when I transfer it over, interested to see how it turns out.
@@ZtormVibin originally the black. But I recased it in an aluminium one, got some new PCB mounted stabs, lubed them and got some tai hao keycaps. Cheap way to get into the world of custom keyboards. I'm still not prepared to pay $120+ for keycaps and $300/400+ for a case just yet lol.
please make a video of modding this one it will be a good beginner friendly video considering you haven't modded any before really looking forward to that video with a subscription :D PS: for the amount of subs you have, the quality of videos is AMAZING!! LIKE SERIOUSLY !!
Dk 61 pro similar build 60 bucks double shot pbt keycaps is the best value or the regular without wireless is 55 bucks and I believe the pro is out of stock but the other may be available. I have had mine for over 2 weeks the keycaps still clean as new no skin oil and I don’t like the switches that much I went with browns so I recommend getting reds but hotswapple so I think I will change my next payday
You cannot swap in Cherry switches on the optical version. There is a version you can purchase that is hot swappable that takes regular mechanical switches. I'm not sure what the pin layout is on that PCB, but you can always clip the switches if you have to.
Detroit Tech aw snap that sucks but I can pick it up for like 30 bucks online so it really ain’t that bad (and yes it’s the whole keyboard not a set of keycaps aha)
