God I really miss Polish footy days! You capture it so well. Those atmospheres, sausage and total unpredictability. Don't miss the freezing cold experience though. Looks a lot safer these days, especially if it's ok to wear a shirt like that when going to and from the match. Tychy, for instance, has 2 stations and there was always about 30-50 Tychy lot getting on the train at the north station and walking straight through it attacking anyone going back to Bielsko / Zywiec in colours of an 'enemy' team. They'd then get off at the south station, take the next train back up to the north station and do the same again. Most people knew what to expect so hid their colours. It was sometimes particularly unnerving when coming back down from an away BKS Stal game (BKS being then in division 3, not like now sadly). Last time I saw Rakow - GKS was mid-late 90s on a freezing afternoon when GKS fans invaded the Rakow section, with resulting full-on crowd participation.
Yeah it is much safer than the 90's (from what I hear about those times). Most stuff happens far away from the stadiums, what happened last night at Cracovia is one of the few times I have seen it happen in the stadium.
