Fishing for Halibut deep into Alaskas Frontier. Pulled in small ones and a GIANT 160+lbs fish. Jigging for halibut on a bareboat adventure. Time lapse fillet at the end.
So the question becomes: "Well, how do we get him in the boat?" To which the unanimous reply is, "With great difficulty!" Nice catch (to say the least). Good point that you made about taking your own harpoon tips and similar gear, apart from your own rod/reel & such. When Murphy is a work, everything that can break will break, and at the worst possible moment!
Note to self. Always have a backup harpoon. Don't tie it off to the boat. Tie it off to a buoy or life jackets. Cool video. The messed up scenarios always make the fondest memories
