And finally, here is the Ice part of our travel from the land of "Fire & Ice". Today we are going to share our experience of Glacier Hiking. We booked this tour and we were amazed with whole experience. With all the safety equipments and experienced guide, we were completely there to enjoy the hike and mighty glacier. This glacier, is part of largest glacier of Europe, "Vatnajökull" and we went to it's one of the part name, "Skaftafell".

Fantastic, made me reminisce about my solo hiking experience to Sandaphu in West Bengal (Jan 2005), Holy Amarnath Ji Cave (July/Aug.2005) and Gaumukh, Uttarakhand (Oct./Nov. 2006). The boulder zone before glaciers are more challenging than actual rockhard ice walking . As you had custom-fitted crampons, little easier !

8.40 If someone falls into the crevice (hole), he/she should try to climb the wall of the crevice with the help of crampons & IceAxe. But an expert Mountaineer (with lots of luck) will be able to do that. To avoid this , members of the team should always be tied by the rope.

I remember my glacier hike experience in Alaska! One of a lifetime experience. We went up to the glacier by kayaking n then both hikes..on land n glacier. Amazing experience! Ice cave is depend on the westher. Our total tour was for 5-6 hours!
