It's interesting to hear "golden hair." I'm guessing the Esmeralda actress was a blonde, so the easiest thing to do was to change "raven" to "golden." However, I have to say it certainly makes me think. I've always imagined Frollo consumed by desire for a dark hair, possibly darker complexioned woman, but now I'm picturing him desiring someone with lighter hair and perhaps paler skin. I never really thought about it, but why wouldn't blonde Esmeralda be a possibility? And who says she's the only woman Frollo ever desired? Maybe he's sung "Hellfire" about a lot of women over the years. There could be an interesting backstory here. Besides, I'm a blonde, so now I'm actually thinking how creeped out I would be if some random dude told me, "The sun caught in your golden hair is blazing in me out of all control like fire." As for the actor himself, he would never have to threaten to burn any ladies; they'd be putty in his hands if he just sang a few lines for them.
@@gamernation1400 True, but sometimes there's no other casting options. Plus, up until the 1940 Hunchback movie there was a major plot point about Esmeralda not being Romani, and how she was just some white girl kidnapped and brought up as a Gypsy
According to the book the actress who most resembles her was Salma Hamic(bad at spelling) I think he fancy himself a women of darker skin tone also I think the reason why he likes her so much is because she probably reminds him of the youth he never had and he was isolated because of what he did to the point people thought he might of been a sorcerer. If I was there I'll would have try to be friends with him and Qusemoto (bad at spelling).
The original actor wo played Frollo quit the show and this actor had to learn this role in just under a week, in all of his other shows he is phenomenal.
