I love the way that it combines that sort of dubstep/techno style, and makes it mesh up with something that sounds like it could have come out of one of those old 1950's alien invasion movies, at times. Like, namely at the start.
John Doe Dubstep is only bad when it's too forced and sounds as disturbing noises with 0% music on it. What dubstep was supposed to be in the first place is not what it is most of the time now.
Out of all of the character/level themes, I think Glacius's is my favorite due to him being my best character from the first two games. I also like how he has been a good guy in the series, and thought it would be awesome if he teamed up with Jago and Orchid at one point. Also, anyone else notice how he somewhat resembles an unarmored Elite from Halo?
Now that I listen to it outside of actually fighting in the game, it reminds me a whole lot of Avalon, the theme from the final battle with the evolved form of Kars at the end of JoJo part 2. You know, it starts out as a really epic-sounding orchestral piece, and then...BASS DROP WUBWUBWUBWUB"
Rip off would be an exact copy. Inspired are slight design cues. For example, Fulgore's design in story was said to be inspired from a knight from the medieval age (hence its orange ponytail/ plume) so that people would be more likely to trust it, since Fulgore was designed to be an enforcer of sorts.
I know you get a lot of appreciative comments as it is, but I feel it's well-deserved. I know there's a pretty large crowd of people like me that listen to video game music on a regular basis, and you're the kind of person that make that crowd very happy. And, by the way, I like how you included the Dimir Crest in the artwork for the retro-remix part of the song. You play Magic, RKosmik?
THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BTW you missed a part in spinals theme, it plays in this video Killer Instinct - Xbox One - Spinal Theme & Spinal Dance (2014) at 1:11 Its part of the main loop.
Sick. Mick really did his thing on this tune........I'm waiting to see what he does with Tusk.....Tusk without question had the best theme of all fighting game themes in my opinion. Hopefully it stays the same
Glacius is the one character I wanted to become good with ever since I was a kid, but alas he requires expert arcade skills. I could never master him or even use a special move for that matter.
The joke is that you pretend you don't know what House Dimir is, since in the lore the other houses don't know about its existence. Always enjoyed playing Simic btw.
