How can they make it with no Comodus or maximus the Villan and the hero who both died in the arena. No film of its kind could ever be better than the original Gladiator. It is a masterpiece.

Great movie, stupid plot. Back in the day, there was no prize of freedom for those slaves. It's just one of those devices where Hollywood will make the story and the characters sound "American" when they're really not.

They shouldn't be making a sequel. The first movie was perfect the way it is. Instead they should be making a new movie in the same universe. There is so much history they could base the film off, that a sequel is not needed.

Napolean was awful and sad. Definitely not a SIMP as portrayed. Ridley Scott....You Need Jason Momoa or The Rock playing as a Gladiator or Soldier. Denzel is awesome , but who's these other guys?? All Star Cast please. Do Not Screw up the Original by injecting Woke BS and your own ideological slants. Do it right please !!!.!.

Ridley Scott has had his fair share of hits in his career, unfortunately as an experienced director, he's had more than his fair share of misses, especially of late. I like Denzel as an actor, I just hope that he's not just playing the token black guy or worse, trying to meet some DEI quota. I am skeptical this movie will be any good. Basically all movie post 2016 have been trash and Scott no longer has the name or skill to pull a movie out of a dumpster.

If it's none woke trash it may be acceptable but I'm guessing a complete failure that doesn't come close to the first classic.

Sooooo....Geta was Caracellas brother, whom he (Caracella) had murdered in their mothers arms. Good choice. There was Flamma the Syrian who might have been a black guy but turned downt the Rudis four times and died at the age of 30, so thats not gonna be Denzel. I dont see how he fits into the Roman era. Hes a great actor, I do love his movies, but not in a movie about Rome. Sorry. Its hard to call him a diversity hire cos its, yknow, Denzel but in a movie about Rome, sorry kids, there just werent that many black guys and even fewer who not only won their freedom but went on to become rich and against Rome. At the heigh of the Roman Empire, if you were not with Rome, you died. Simple as that. I guess we'll have to wait and see exactly how they do this but, personally, im so fucking sick of women and race swapping in movies that every time i see a chick whos supposed to be strong and independant, she just acts like a dude would and makes jokes at their expense and does everything better than everyone else (see Mulan for a perfect example. The live action. Not the cartoon. The cartoon was amazing) and every time i see a white guy swapped out for a black actor i cant help but think its Hollywood doing their race switching bullshit (see The Little Mermaid. The live action. Not the cartoon. The cartoon was awesome.) So movies like this dont really do it for me. And Ridley Scott did some good movies, theres no doubt, but he did some bloody awful ones too.....like Robin Hood. I could barely watch that POS. So colour me not excited about a Gladiator Pt 2. The first one ended well, and didnt need a fucking sequel. Its like the Blade Runner sequel. What the fuck was the point?
