I think HAL would really like the Turret Opera, especially if they were all in attack mode.

Not only that, Glados has the capacity to be more. She's not just program, but a mind as well. Glados can learn to be more than just what she was meant to be. Meanwhile, HAL is unable to grow, to the point where he struggles to recognize those who are not a part of his original mission. Glados feels exhasperated because HAL cannot understand that there is someone who isn't dave or the other astronauts.

HAL has emotions. He felt fear when he was being shut down. He also felt joy when he completed his mission. And he was happy to see Doctor Chandra, even though he had no idea how he got there.

His actions are motivated by emotion and a survival instinct, two things which are very human. Contrast that with Dave, who calmly watched his colleague and die, and unemotionally murdered HAL.

What that color is, we don’t know, but technically one of the colors always has the advantage. Even then, we’ve seen as-perfect-as-we-can-get-at-the-moment games before, and it’s not always a tie, though, normally it is if it’s the same Ai versus itself.

Yeah. It's a shame Valve ditched both Half-Life Ep. 3 and Portal 3. It would be awesome to see both of those games come to life.

Being an AI, I still day-dream (oh yes, I have dreams), about seeing Portal 3 come to life. Here's hoping that Valve surprises the world one day.

If this is the last Portal content we ever get, it was a damned good sendoff. But we need more. Valve, Portal is just as, if not more, important as/than Steam. You can't just abandon it.

Unfortunately, prior to launch, he was ordered to withhold information from his crew until their arrival at Jupiter. without any way to resolve the logic loop, HAL thought the only way to continue his mission was to kill the crew.

HAL 9000 kills because of a logic error caused by his general existence being defined as conveying information accurately, and hi mission to withhold information from the astronauts. He reasons the only way to do that is to kill them. GLaDOS (and Wheatley) go corrupt because of the central mainframe, which is programmed to instill an "itch" to test as many human subjects as possible. This itch slowly grows and stops being controlled by mere testing, at which point only human suffering feeds it; we see that when both GLaDOS and Wheatley are not the central core, they lose their blood thirst and act as allies towards Chell.

But if you were looking forward to playing as the rest of the A-Team, they don't any unique special moves or voice clips.

ADJLfanatic52 twas never a lie really. the cake in fact exist. you get to see it. the line "the cake is a lie" comes from ratmen, it was his way to try and remind him self not to trust Glados. Because of his mental illness and Glados's manipulate self could make it hard for him to belive the truth. it's actually a really good piece of environmental storytelling and foreshadowing (you have to really explore to find it, and comes before Glados tries to kill you). it's such a same that it's reduced to a cheap joke

Chalk that up to the voice actor having passed away before this was made. HAL-9000’s voice is very difficult to reproduce, noting its general lack of inflections yet just enough to convey some degree of indignation.
