I met Leee John sometime in the mid to late 80's, at the Limelight Nightclub in London. I have this vivid memory of him dancing with my guardian on top of the tables (she was in her 60's and was wearing a gold lamé catsuit). I will never forget it :)

I knew Leee back in the 00s when he came to do some Flashback nights in Gran Canaria and we used to have coffee and gossip together every morning... Very sweet, crazy guy... So happy to see he is well, happy and as creative and driven as ever!!

You're so right! She was a pretty child, but now her face is monstrous. Those awful cheek implants, large mouth and immobile facial skin is so artificial it's tragic. Even her body movements and voice aren't natural. I feel sorry for her...she seems like a nice person but obviously isn't sure about herself and so feels the need of a different, though false, appearence.

The whole point is that they need to make a profit. You are talking about market values, which the store needs to sell at so they can't buy at those prices.

i was shocked at her offer for 800 and then said shed do the loan for 800 no respectful pawnbroker would offer 800 for both sale and loan that right there is proof the bags are worth way more than 800 a loan is usally half value as an incentve to make payments and if you dont they make more money if everyone got the same amount for selling as loans then noone would sell as its a free chance to get your belongings back its literally a free bank loan at that point ridiculous and super shady woman

@li-anderker55 I couldn't agree more. My father bought my sister and myself a gold necklace and medallion when we we're kid's. He also told us if we ever need money to sell them. Luckily we didn't have to. Today my daughter has them with a bunch of jewelry that we have bought over the yrs, and I told her if she ever needs money to sell them especially with her being a single mother

I also enjoyed this episode. The 4 sellers were so interesting. To be 81yrs old and have all your marbles, mobile and so learned and interested in engineering., super. Joanne with her life story, working from 5 years old. Her interest in horses and her written work . It really goes beyond. Mr John, so nice and glad he has money for his project. Lady entrepreneur , great. All for wonderful projects.

seemed like a very little amount and that she could do without it but hey .... maybe the mink was fake ? Doubt it, but you wouldn't imagine the amount of people who go around in very expensive clothes and jewelry but have no free cash and even urchins in their pockets when it comes to paying a bill.....

Never ever sell something of great value to a pawn broker as you will get the lowest offer,they prey on people desperate for quick cash so the offer is very low.

@@propertyinvestingwithcleme3099 I don't assume to know how much overhead a high end pawn broker has between salaries and property lease/mortgage and insurance, but nobody's sticking a gun next to the sellers/pawn head to take the offer. And with it being a High End Pawnbroker, you probably aren't going to have a bunch of other offers to shop it around to. If you take it to one of the auction houses, expect to pay around 12% in fees. So given that, a 31% markup is not unreasonable from the broker.

Didnt like the episode much. People didn't find out the value of each item plus I rather have an expert telling me what they are worth so I could make the right decision. It was really crazy that the lady was only offered 800 pounds for the bags my god I'm not an expert but the red Vuitton bag alone retails for over $1500. To me she got ripped. I like the American show better people are told straight up or in front of an expert the value of their property. And to be in the business and not know that the Rolex was a hulk worth at todays prices 20k is nuts.
