I love these pictures, fills my heart with nostalgic memories and sadness too knowing that this world is gone. Everyone was scottish then and we all shared the same culture with a community living as one, the world today is new and multicultural, its great to see wee pals from all over the world playing together and new cultures enriching our lives but we also miss the world we knew..
Just found these,now binge watching them and although a lot are from before I was born (I'm 51) I still recognise a lot of the buildings and streets from when I was a kid in the car with my Da. These vids have brought back some good memories with my Da, thank you for posting them.
@@colinburrowes8063 That would be a lot of unnecessary work. Those of us who recognize the streets don't need them identified, and those that don't know them probably don't need to know them anyway!
Indeed they are not! Anyway, as for 3.55, I recall that it led up to the old Buchanan Street railway station, long since demolished. The location is confirmed by the Buchanan Street hotel on the left of the picture.
