On the 1st of April 2007, the mangement of Glasgow's common goods assets was transfered to a private charitable company. This is a selection of what the people of Glasgow lost...glasgowLOST.org website to follow soon.
I live and work and enjoy the City of Glasgow and have done since 1957 when I was born, these "LOST" treasures are (for the most part) not only still here and on view but are enhanced and very well maintained by the works of the organisation charged with their welfare and I am unaware (happy to be corrected) of any items mismanaged by the charitable trust, and please remember it was the "management" of the items transferred not the ownership.

Left Glasgow in 1957 and have not been back since the mid-'80s as I have no remaining family there but I still love watching videos of where I was born, although the tenement I lived in until I was 16 was demolished way back when and there's a throughway running right up the middle of Springburn Rd. I believe. If people think things are tough nowadays, you'd never have survived in the '30s, '40s and '50s. I tell people that if you could survive a childhood in Glasgow, you could survive just about anything. I did recognize Glasgow Royal Infirmary, St. Nicholas House right opposite, Springburn public park, the Art Gallery but not much else. No matter what, hopefully things improve for the better but why are there so many angry people around????
@whirlingtamthebam Very good and true comments like the Great City of Glasgow. Liverpool have also been let down by the so called New Labour and our parents and Grandparents would well and truly be turning in there graves. Two Great Cities of Culture and Memories.

I wasnt given a explanation as to my birth you all had your own familys and lived elsewhere iwas left in the flat with Sarah Brogan pretending to be my parent and your dad beat me up and Sarah Brogan took my clothes and would not talk to me always trying to make me mental but i got my own back on her years later she tried it again I started her out for a few hours in the end she left Frank Wright was a disgrace and it looks like money talked
Why so angry people??? Glasgow is not the city it once was...full of thugs and slags and young women who look like tramps. The warmth and generosity of it's people is a past thing. Like the rest of this world, it has not improved but gone backward.
