I have to ask, which do you find cheaper? The electricity that your set up needs to electrolyze the water? Or a propane fuel source that would do the same amount of work?
If he's working with borosilicate glass (increasingly common these days) then propane alone wouldn't be hot enough and he'd have to feed oxygen as well as propane to get the required temperature. It's easier to use HHO.
I'm just having fun and learning as I go. I like to watch other people lampwork like Lu Libby and Jeannie Cox who I think have been doing it for a long time.
@@carsandwater Nice, that's cool. And cheers for teaching me a new word; I never knew this craft was called lampwork. Any plans on making larger things, by the way? Or are you just enjoying the trinket size crafts for now?
@@ThePowerofCutleries not to answer for Cars, but this is fun hobby sized. The larger you go the more material and larger heat sources are needed. Not too much larger than what's in the video requires a furnace to save on frustration, keeping heat evenly distributed. Im with you though in that I love watching this stuff and I too didn't know the term, so we both learned today.
