They were pretty big in their time touring with deftones and Daryl going onto form Head Automatica that were like one of the pioneers for early 2000s indie rock pop.

I disagree. He was not reliable 20 years ago. Always a talent dont get me wrong. Now he is the real deal and you can see some vocal training. Years ago he would hardly sing 1third of a set.

I caught most of their set at FF '21 and yeah drummer goes hard as hell start to finish. Snare sounds exactly like the one on OCG.

Only 2 originals are the guitarist and Darryl. But yeah they've been steady through out all other lineup changes

Like someone else said here, Dillinger is the other band with such fucked up lineup rules. At least it wasn't because of a plane crash or a fucking nerve damage fuckin a Tripping so whatever

This drummer doesn't stack up, imo.

I'm 34 now and I've loved them since high school. Glassjaw and Slipknot are my bucket list bands.

@@joshuahowland5061 I've been lucky enough to see both. Just recently caught two straight Glassjaw shows, they played EYEWTKAS the first night and then Worship and Tribute the second night. They are one of the tightest live bands I've ever seen, if you ever get the chance to see them don't pass it up!

One thing i don't understand. Who is changing effects on guitar? He doesn't have any pedalboard in front of him and effects shift all the time.

@@genefrankle1 more than likely his guitar tech is turning on and off effects. This is normal for bigger bands, especially when they’re bouncing around between effects.

@@DanielRodriguez-eh1qd ya it would be either this or he has all the changes pre-programmed in his rig via MIDI to a click track that the drummer is synced to, which would explain why, despite how chaotic the music is, it is very tight rhythmically.

Very true - Beck plays interesting chord and I love his leads. I do miss Todd in the band though, for the reasons you mentioned. Some songs really benefit from the two guitars; Ape Dos Mil and Gillette Cavalcade come to mind.

@@RC-fi8nn I miss the dual guitars as well, but Beck plays with so much feeling. He absolutely slays at this show. I can only imagine that his performances are different from show to show. It seems like the the kind of style where he has something in mind, but whatever happens, happens in the end.

Sadly, this performance only had like 20-25 people in the crowd. Watch when they show a shot from behind the band the field is empty. From what I read they were playing 2 shows that day, one here and the other at arctangent festival.

Lol definitely no comparison to 2002 days.

@@sleepswithnopillow8413 obviously a Bass is a guitar. Typically we say LEAD when TWO 6 string (non-bass) guitars are playing with each other and one focuses on rhythm while the other plays lead. If there is one guitarist there is no need to make the distinction.

@@genefrankle1 , it might be automated. Most musicians now create their set tracks through their laptops where everything is already there. I think their in-ear monitors give them hints as to when they'll start et al.

Dude, this happened here in Mexico City too, we were the opening band to the only time Gj has come to Mexico, one of my greatest memories. And then, when they started to play, it was Beck, Daryl, Durijah and Manuel Carrero facing each other for like 5 songs, then Daryl started to interact a little bit more, shit got cray cray, the place was crowded af. I was lucky enough to catch them both in Long Island with Thrice and Manchester Orchestra on the same show. It was absolute destruction in the best way possible.

i didn’t think it was a fan shot version. i thought it was uploaded the Pukkelpop. i remember the video quality being essentially identical and the audio was actually better. when this file plays through my sound system it sounds all treble-y and shitty. used to sound good.
