I love how y’all aren’t allowing food allergies to stop y’all from getting out. It’s inspiring as I try to figure out my family’s food issues (we don’t have anaphylaxis but have been told it could possibly develop due to the huge list of issues) and it does cause my boys to not gain weight and have stomach and behavioral issues. Also, we 100% agree that m doing fun things when everyone else is in school.

Find an alternate Health Dr that will give you the mega 93 allergen test. Also there is a giant 40 Outdoor Allergen test. Find out what is causing the immune response and you can cleanse it out of your life then heal. An Alt Health Dr in Rolla MO, Dr Kissinger, cured my husbands Ulcerative colitis that way.

The Toledo Zoo is such a wonderful zoo. It's the perfect size for families. My family used to buy season passes. You can tell from the beaming faces that your children had a great day.

A trip to the Toledo Zoo wasn't necessarily a yearly event for my family, but we did go more than a few times, and always enjoyed it. Your trip stirred up memories for me. David has grown up so much I thought it was Gabriel. I love glazed donuts they are my favorite along with cider donuts which are also really good which are a tradition in Vermont in the Fall like sugar on snow is in the spring. I found a recipe for Cider bread and I am going to try it my daughter just picked up cider for me. I love visiting aquariums I could stay all day especially when you could hang out inside or they are above you. Love to see David's bake goods he could make a allergic cookbook as his first cookbook maybe when he gets older he can do RU-vid channel to get a following to sell it.

My aunt used to pack lunches for us to go sight seeing. I loved those lunches and I was always envious of families that would have their own packed lunch growing up. My mom was just not into doing that much.

Thank you for taking us along! We don't have food allergies, but I always packed lunches, and even cooked on vacations, because it was cheaper. We had 4 children, so I didn't have quite the task you have! But I recognize that you didn't have to film your family's trip at all. Thanks again!

Pausing at 1:45... I got ducks because we love them and well I love my garden and in Washington we battled slugs. They were intended to be my garden helpers- now we have a flock of 8 and counting. We keep them for several reasons- but I too love them for baking!! ❤

What a wonderful video! Brings back memories of packing up my kids and loading coolers with food and drinks for the day. I could never afford "buying out" for my brood. I drove a 15 passenger van back then and we had lots of fun on our "day trips". Nice to shake up the homesteading with this fun video!!

I always enjoy your adventures. I don't have kids and had originally joined your adventure last year to follow your canning advice. I have however really enjoyed learning and seeing your home schooling life. I didn't know much about homeschooling and unfortunately I think there are some misconceptions in general society about it. Your willingness to show us how you homeschool and the why of it has really changed my perspective. For military families especially ours stationed overseas I find myself advocating for parents who choose to homeschool. It's a great way to provide children with a consistent education when they find themselves moving every 2-3 years. I love sharing your channel not just for your amazing gardening, canning, and homesteading but also for your homeschooling advice. Thank you for showing us your field trip day. Now I'm off to purchase some of those gummy molds! I have mango juice that would be yummy as gummies.

Nice! We did our homeschool trip to the zoo and the library, at the time when the public school children were in school to avoid the crowd and any possible issues. Thanks for the tip of the best time to go to the zoo. Most of the animals we saw were in shades or sleeping, it was a very hot day, so my little ones were bored at times since they were not moving around. I love seeing your son baking.💖 Thanks for sharing.👍🏽

Thank you for sharing your day, I love going to the zoo! It’s always a fun crazy day. I always make our own packed lunches and that’s because we find food and drink prices at places like that so high, it’s like they’re out of touch with the world outside their gates! We always stretch to an ice cream or ice lolly if the children have behaved well. I’m assuming even ice lollies are a no go for Gabriel? He’s so good! Infact all your children are lovely, polite individuals 🥰 as for David and his baking I think I’m going to have to borrow him for a few weeks maybe months, all his bakes look so good!

Looks like a fantastic day. I don’t have children at home any more but when the grandchildren come I like to get in the kitchen with them and we make something. One loves baking much like David. Another enjoys making jams and jellies while the youngest one is thrilled to make stove top popcorn. She loves that I’ll leave the lid off till the first kernel jumps out of the pan. Each one lives out of state in a large city but there’s always something interesting and fun to learn with this “country”grandma.

I've also been looking for another dairy free bread recipe because mine dries out so fast, and doesn't slice well. It's nice to see your family enjoying outings out together. I came from a family of 8. Mom, Dad, Grandma & 5 of us kids. Mom did the same thing but nobody had food allergies. We were just poor. The tickets is all they paid for. Everything else went in a cooler & we had a picnic! We had a blast & loved the Detroit Zoo. So long ago ...wonderful, happy times
